1 INDICATIONS ET CONSEILS POUR LE PROCESSUS DE L INSCRIPTION ET DU CONCOURS Information and advice regarding the application and Interview process 1. Processus général Le processus de l inscription est comme suit : 10 Mars : Le délai pour l inscription, après lequel les candidats vont recevoir une application pack, qui y comprendra le numéro d inscription. 20 Mars : Le délai pour la réception de portfolio et le reste des documents d applications (voir la liste en bas) après lequel les candidats vont recevoir la confirmation de réception du portfolio, ainsi qu une date pour la journée des épreuves. Si vous ratez le premier délai, une deuxième série commencera avec le délai de l inscription par Internet : le 19 mai (Soumission de portfolio avant le 29 mai). Finalement, s il reste toujours des places, il y aura une troisième série avec comme délai d inscription online le 21 juillet (Soumission de portfolio avant le 31 juillet). Nous vous conseillons fortement de vous inscrire au plus vite, le processus d'inscriptions s'arrêtant, compte tenu des périodes, lorsque le nombre (limité) de places est pourvu. The application process is as follows: 10 March : deadline for online registration, after which you will be sent an application pack, including application number. 20 March : deadline for receipt of portfolio and the rest of the registration documents (see the list below), after which candidates will receive confirmation of receipt of portfolio, plus a date for interview. If you miss the first deadline, there will be a second round starting with an online registration deadline on the 19th May (with a portfolio submission deadline 29 th May). Finally, If there are still places left, there will be a third round starting with the online registration on the 21st July, portfolio 1

2 deadline on the 31 st July. Candidates are strongly advised to apply early as the application process will close once the target intake been achieved. 2. Documents nécessaires (à soumettre avec le portfolio) Required registration documents (to be sent with the portfolio) : formulaire d'inscritpion registration form une copie de carte identité proof of identity une lettre de motivation ; A personal statement; un certificat de scolarité de l année en cours ou du dernier établissement fréquenté ; details of any pending qualifications; un justificatif des Diplômes obtenus ; certificates of all qualifications received to date; 2 photos d identité dont une collée à l emplacement prévu sur le dossier (merci d'inscrire votre nom et prénom sur le verso de photo) ; 2 passport photos of which one should be stuck to the front of the form (please write your name down on the back side of photo); le portfolio de vos réalisations personnelles; a portolio of your own work; votre règlement des frais de concours (un chèque de 150 *) à l ordre de Human Academy Europe). Les candidats internationaux doive régler les frais de concours par virement bancaire. 3 General advice for submitting your portfolio: Utilisez un portfolio en carton ou un dossier similaire (format A4 ou A3 maximum, plastifié ou non). N utilisez en aucun cas des feuilles volantes, non reliées ; Use a cardboard portfolio, or a similar folder (format A4 or A3) maximum, laminated or not). Do not use loose leaf polly pockets; Assurez-vous que votre nom figure sur chacun des documents ainsi que sur la couverture de votre portfolio, dvd, etc ; Make sure that your name appears on each document, as well as the cover of the portfolio, dvd, etc; Essayez de présenter vos travaux les plus récents et, dans la mesure du possible, indiquez la date de réalisation de vos travaux ; Try to present your most recent work, and as far as is possible, date your work; Un total de 25 pages est largement suffisant ; A total of 25 pages is adequate; Si vous présentez un film (dvd/cd), assurez-vous que le format est lisible sur tous supports ; If you include a dvd/ cd of work, make sure that it is a format readable across all platforms; TOUT TRAVAIL SOUMIS DOIT ETRE FAIT PAR LE CANDIDAT ; All work must be attributable to the applicant; AUCUN DESSIN ORIGINAL NE DOIT ETRE ENVOYÉ (FAITES DES PHOTOCOPIES). Human Academy accepts no responsibility for work submitted; LE PORTFOLIO QUE VOUS NOUS FEREZ PARVENIR SERA EXAMINÉ PAR UN JURY DE SÉLECTION QUI JUGERA VOTRE APTITUDE À PASSER LES ÉPREUVES DE CONCOURS D ENTRÉE ; THE PORTFOLIO THAT YOU SUBMIT WILL BE SCRUTINISED BY A SELECTION PANEL WHO WILL DECIDE ON A SHORTLIST TO GO FORWARD TO THE ENTRY EXAM. HAE (Human Academy Europe) accepte aussi un digital portfolio, soit sur CD/ DVD, soit reçu par mail. Pour une soumission online ou par , veuillez faire votre demande à HAE. 4 Suggested Portfolio Content : Croquis et dessins de modèles vivants et de la vie autour de vous ; Life drawing, sketches from life; Travaux de recherches personnelles ; Personal work (Sketchbooks); Bandes dessinées, illustrations, scenarios ; Graphic Novels, Manga, illustrations, visual stories; Recherches et créations dans d autres champs que celui du manga. Other visual work made in different disciplines (Photography, games, etc). SURTOUT, VOTRE DOSSIER DOIT REFLETER VOTRE PERSONNALITÉ ET VOTRE PASSION. MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOUR PORTFOLIO MUST DEMONSTRATE YOUR INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITY AND YOUR PASSION FOR IMAGE MAKING. 5. Retour de votre Portfolio. Au cas où vous souhaiteriez le retour de votre portfolio, placez en dernière page de celui-ci une enveloppe pliée, suffisamment affranchie et au format exact de votre dossier, comportant votre nom et adresse. Le portfolio sera retourné dès la fin des épreuves. If you wish your portfolio to be returned, place a folded stamped self addressed envelope on the last page. Concours d entrée Le concours d entrée constitue une journée d épreuves, qui comprend : The entry competition constitutes a day of test, made up of: Un entretien/ An Interview Une épreuve de dessin/ A drawing test Un test d aptitude à l anglais (écrit et oral) / A test of English Skills (written and oral) Un test d aptitude à la critique/ analyse/ A test of your analytical/ critical thinking skills. 4
