2 PRÉAMBULE Ce recueil contient les thèmes des projets de fin d études des élèves des formations Master (Diplôme National de Master) et Mastères Spécialisés de l ENAC. Les Mastères Spécialisés, labellisés par la Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE), ont une vocation professionnelle marquée et bénéficient des liens étroits tissés par l ENAC avec les entreprises du secteur aéronautique. La durée de la formation est de 12 mois dont au minimum 4 mois de stage en entreprise. Ce stage donne lieu à la rédaction d un mémoire et à la soutenance de celui-ci devant un jury. Le Master IATOM (International Air Transport Operations Master's degree) est une formation destinée à des élèves recrutés au niveau Bac+3 (ou Bachelor s degree à l étranger) désireux de rejoindre le secteur aéronautique. La formation dure deux ans et se termine par un stage long. Les élèves de ces formations se destinent majoritairement aux entreprises du secteur privé, dans de très nombreux domaines d activité (construction aéronautique, gestion du trafic aérien, management aéroportuaire, télécommunications aéronautiques, avionique, etc.). Les autres rejoignent des autorités étrangères de l Aviation Civile ou des organisations internationales (OACI, Eurocontrol, EASA, etc ). Ce recueil peut également être consulté sur le site de l ENAC (www.enac.fr), ainsi que le calendrier des soutenances. 16 EYMENIER Arnaud LUXAIR (Luxembourg) Maître de Stage : COLLING Daniel Transition from EU OPS to EASA OPS: overall impact on Luxair Flight OPS department represents an important turning point, for all airlines operating commercial aircraft, with the further transition from "EU-OPS" to "EASA- OPS" regulations. Since 2008 and the vote of the Basic Regulation (EC) 216/2008 by the European Council giving more responsibility to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Luxair Luxembourg Airlines is in the obligation to study the differences between "EU-OPS" and "EASA- OPS" in order to evaluate the "future" impacts of this transition on their operational activities. So the main interest is to analyze the current Luxair "Operations Manual" and to compare it with the new "Air Operations". Regulations recommendations. After working on the theory, a new "Operations Manual", "General/Basic" structure will be presented to the Director of Flight Operations. The purpose of this research is to understand the effects of a 12h weather forecast over a 24h one on the tracks computed thanks to these forecasts data. In this study, the studied parameters are the flight times and fuel consumption. This leads to an economic analysis and allows to conclude whether there would be advantages to implement the 12h weather forecast to compute flight plan instead of 24h one.

R&D programmes such as SESAR and NextGen have been initiated with the aim to develop new operational concepts and enabling technologies that will be able to support the implementation of a new ATM system. Among these enabling technologies is the Surveillance, which has a pivotal impact on the overall performance in the ATM system. An approach that has been found to be quite promising is the optimisation of a global surveillance system that takes into account all technical, operational, environmental and economical constraints. In the context of the globalisation of air traffic management, the airspaces are being harmonised in order to enable the ATM services to meet their needs. That harmonisation, which implies not only the restructuration of airspaces but also the enhancement of air traffic services level, is driven by the use of both interoperable ATM automation systems and efficient information sharing systems. This project defines the needs in automation and information sharing associated to the airspaces harmonisation in ASECNA, and proposes a technological solution to deal with situation.
20 NDAO Magueye Marame INEO (France) Maître de Stage : BOURDIER Michel Feasibility to ensure transmission of ADS-C and CPDLC services over AFISNET network. ASECNA owns a private VSAT network called AFISNET which could be used for transmission of ADS-C and CPDLC data instead of SITA used now. The goal of this study is to analyse the possibility for ASECNA to integrate its VSAT network in the process of providing ADS-C and CPDLC services. The aim is to improve ATS provided to users and to get financial benefits. NESVADBA Matej THALES AIR SYSTEMS (France) Maître de Stage : DURAND Nathalie System Validation on Topsky (Eurocat) Tower product. The project focuses on the validation of Thales TopSky Tower product which combines the functionalities of A-SMGCS and Electronic Flight Strip System. The goal is to analyse the product and based on that write a validation manual with a library of scenarios, perform testing on the system platform and present the results.

This internship at Airbus Product Integrity-Long Range department is to assess and support part of the Aircraft Type Certificate and the Post Type Certification Activities. It will contribute to the development of and support to Airbus aircraft certification and registration by proposing procedures based on the existing working activities in Airbus to cover first the No Technical Objection by Airbus to an STC applicant and secondly the Post Type Design change validation process with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).The report explains the objectives, the issues, the process, and finally the methodology adopted to approach the two procedures documents. The report is also intended to be a guideline to help in updates or changes to the processes within the procedures. BALZER Sébastien AIRBUS SAS (France) Maître de Stage : SMIT Hans High speed performance : Certification and operationnal constraints.. This internship aimed at clarifying the role of high speed aircraft performance group EGVTV2 by addressing several high speed aircraft performance related topics : for each of them, this report synthesizes the applicable requirements and clarifies the way other ATA chapters use EGVTV2's deliverables to address their problematic within the certification process. Possibilities of a better improvement of EGVTV2 in the certification process are also addressed. Reflexions on the necessity for EGVTV2 to give further justifications regarding the validity of their results are carried out

The development of a Certification Processes Handbook has been initiated in order to gather into a single support all the information related to Airbus procedures enriched with guidelines, working methods and best practices.through a WIKI Web interface, the tool will offer the possibility for each actor fulfilling an airworthiness function to easily access to job cards including the relevant data dedicated to a specific activity with a customized content depending on his role. The handbook will focus on the initial Type Certification activities as well as on the classification and approval of changes to an already certified Type Design. It will cover both in-service programmes and development programmes. This work is performed in the Airworthiness Assurance, Network & Integration group, which is part of the Airworthiness Technical Directorate of Airbus S.A.S. BENAVIDES MORILLO Guillermo Vladimir EUROCOPTER (France) Maître de Stage : GROS Jean-Michel Safety & Maintenance Organisation Exposition of the Eurocopter Maintenance Repair & Overhaul centre. EUROCOPTER Company is engaged in a new documentation architecture development, and this project named Safety & Maintenace Organisation Exposition, gathers maintenance and SMS procedures in a single document, describes the company organisation, then all the operating rules and procedures set up by the MRO Centre, in order to meet the requirements for the implementation of SMS and for PART 145 approval. The internship will split the maintenance procedures from the production ones, then integrate the whole document and give a detailed integrity and coherency check of the new material not to impact the approvals.

The internship takes place in the Flight, Propulsion and Icing Certification service (EIAAV). Its purpose is the design of an internal handbook as website. The main objective of this knowledge management tool is to support activities of the EIAAV team. The chosen form is a Wiki site. The Wiki stores all documents necessary for or created by the service, split insections : EIAAV functioning, Certification bases, Meeting reports, Official nominations for signatures...these parts must be filled with information collected from interviews with employees, from AIRBUS software and from shared documents. The Head of EIAAV requests to check and authorise new tables containing certification data.a user guide must be enclosed to the website.a first report and correction should be done with the EIAAV team. CHEN Song SICMA AERO SEAT (France) Maître de Stage : LEGROS Jean-Luc Certification, Program and Interface for C919 Crew Seats. The internship is to manage certification issue related to the SICMA C919 crew seats program and to be the interface between COMAC and the C919 crew seats program team. The aim is to realize and manage all certification related documentations to support and push forward the program according to the master schedule and to help the C919 program team ensure that the program carries out smoothly without any delay due to certification and program design issues. The internship will start with the study of Description Report of crew seat, Technical Specification and certification basis for Crew seats.the second phase consists in the design of specific certification related plan and program plan etc.
27 FERNANDEZ NEBOT Marina AIRBUS SAS (France) Maître de Stage : TREBOSC Jean Electrics Certification Handbook. The department within the ATD that manages the electrics certification. Due to the large amount of documentation and actors spread across several sites in Airbus, the ATD agreed to launch a handbook to gather, centralize and share the information. The format foreseen for the handbook is an intranet tool called Airbus Wiki which will provide links, guides and supports for the activities for the Electrics Systems Certification. The handbook will contain the following topics: certification basis, modifications, electrical load analysis, foreign validation, rulemaking, schedule, Airbus procedures and tools, trainings and miscellaneous information. GONZALEZ Florian AIR CORSICA (France) Maître de Stage : LE GOFF Marc Improvement of airworthiness procedures within an airline. The subject of the internship is the improvement of 3 airworthiness procedures within Air Corsica. The classification of an aircraft imported from an EASA member state, the phase in and redelivery of an aircraft by an airline, the Airworthiness Review Certificate.The methodology which is used is the same for the 3 procedures. Identify and highlight what needs to be improved. The second step is to find how to fix problems and to write the necessary procedures accordingly. Then, the last step is the final approval of the procedures by CAMO and quality department.
28 GURURAGHAVENDRA RANGARAJAN Rakesh ALTRAN (France) Maître de Stage : LABORDE Florian Electrical Harness Pre-Sizing. Electrical Routes & Harness Concept Dossier (ERHCD) is a requirement dossier integrated to the overall Electrical Process of the Aircraft. Its objective is to ensure that all Functional, Installation and Manufacturing requirements have been taken into account to provide the Definition Dossier. With regards to electrical architecture concept and development, Pre-Sizing leads to two main types of activities. The pre-sizing loop giving an overview of new configuration impacts Technical trade-off to assess impacts on the electrical system architecture of configuration modification or new constraints. Its objectives are to associate functional inputs with installation space allocation definition (3D mock-up), verify applicable requirements and extract the bundle's diameter values, Identify the Type of Protections to use for different type of routes. LIWERANT Jonathan AIR FRANCE (France) Maître de Stage : BEGAUD Dominique Criterisation and codification of flight safety feedback forms. A SMS manual describing the safety model has been defined to meet the SMS implementation requirement. Through the study of Flight Safety feedback process (ASR, CSR, REX...), the project is to establish the method of codification of these events taking into account the company s safety model and departments operational needs. A detailed analysis of past incidents is necessary to expand the company cartography. Thus, it will allow a classification of daily events, and a relevant criterisation so as to make risk analysis at corporate level. Besides, it aims at preparing the migration towards the new risk management IT tool (analyst formation, data transfer and parameterisation) which will improve continued airworthiness and risk management.
29 MARRIS Guillaume FNAM (France) Maître de Stage : EL KOUCH Mehdi Implementation of the transition to European regulations in the field of Air Operations and Licensing for companies of the air transport sector. As part of the entry into force of the new European regulations, The internship concerns FNAM Transition 2012 project on the implementation of the transition for companies of the air transport sector: airlines, helicopter operators, training organisations, and general aviation companies.the objective was to study changes in Air Operations and Aircrew areas, to identify the impacts on companies, and finally to perform pertinent actions to smooth and facilitate the transition. A large number of solutions and tools available for FNAM members has been set up, such as: a comparative database, technical publications, thematic summary sheets, FNAM website articles, specific internal visits, newsletters, etc.. KUMAR Gowthamkumar AIRBUS OPERATIONS GMBH (Allemagne) Maître de Stage : DEEKE Matthias Introducing Digital Signatures in Airbus Certification Policies. As part of the Airbus Airworthiness communities initiative to use Digital Signatures in all Aircraft certification activities, the aim of this project is to prepare a definitive proposal of amendments in current certification policies which are proned to change with future implementation of digital signatures. The scope of the project extends to ensure that the proposed changes in policies related to the usage of digital signature are in compliance with Aviation Authorities of significant countries and to make sure the initial implementation of digital signature is adapted well within the Airworthiness communities of Airbus.
30 NGUYEN LÊ NAM Khuong AIRBUS SAS (France) Maître de Stage : VIGARIOS Philippe Evaluation of Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) to Deploy in the Propulsion System Integration World. This internship is to propose an improvement of the safety analysis tool SARAA used in Propulsion System Integration (EET) department. The new tool/methodology must improve on key areas like complexity control, better coordination with system designers, and faster validation of system specification. The focus is on the method Model-Based Safety Analysis (MBSA). The EET method will be investigated while studying MBSA to identify potential benefits and possible disadvantages. A model of the A350 Thrust Reverser System will be built.. Automatic safety analysis will be done to compare the results with System Safety Assessment document. The way to propose to EASA how MBSA can be used to demonstrate certification will be studied. The final step is to specify the new tool. NURISSO Mattia AIRBUS SAS (France) Maître de Stage : LEFRANC Sébastien Flight Management System : Verification and Validation process Improvement. Starting from in-service issues, the internship is to analyze and understand step by step how Verification and Validation process carries out and, eventually, identify leaks in it that led not to detect some problems which reveal in in-service operation.the first step is to schedule and extract statistics from the in-service support. This work should help to get a view from a higher point of view : studying for each case the particular root cause will show in what case a deeper attention in V&V process should be paid and for which cases today test procedures seem to be poor. Improvements can then be suggested from one side general suggestions at a process level and at test procedures level.
