TWINNING light Objectif: améliorer la compétitivité des produits algériens et ainsi contribuer à la facilitation du commerce et à la diversification des échanges entre l Algérie et l Union Européenne (UE), à travers un appui aux structures de l infrastructure qualité algérienne Appui à l administration de l Observatoire National de l Environnement et du Développement Durable (ONEDD) pour la mise en œuvre du Système d Information Environnementale National (SIE) par l amélioration des capacités de l Observatoire. 5 EGYPT Support the Improvement of Agricultural Research in Egypt through the Modernisation of the Agricultural Research Centre Objective: the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) is structured as a state-of-the-art organisation and competent agricultural services provider, with a clear legal basis and efficient managerial policies, which promotes knowledge for sustainable development in light of EU best practices Building the Capacity of the Egyptian National Institute of Standards in the Field of Metrology. Objective: to contribute to the strengthening of the institutional and technical capacity of the National Institute for Standards as the primary holder of metrology in line with the relevant European best practices in standards, norms and processes in the field Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Agency (Phase IV) Objective: To contribute to strengthening the capacities of the EGYPTERA to become an efficient and reliable regulatory authority so the regulatory functions and the power sector reform process are implemented in accordance with EU and international best practices. Supporting the Egyptian Ministry of Transport in the Implementation of the Railway Safety Management System Objective: To contribute to strengthening the overall capacity of the Egyptian administration in the Railway Safety field in line with the EU Acquis and best practices.
