1 Appel de communication L Association des Étudiants de la Maitrise et du Doctorat en Communication (AEMDC) invite les étudiants de cycle supérieur à soumettre leur résumé de communication afin de participer à la soirée étudiante de réseautage- éclair de l IAMCR(International Association for Media and Communication Research) qui aura lieu le 13 juillet à l UQAM. Le réseautage- éclair de l IAMCR 2015 est une soirée où les étudiants conférenciers présentent brièvement leurs travaux et intérêts de recherche dans une période «éclair» de maximum DEUX minutes. La communication devra être accompagnée d un support visuel en anglais. Ce sera l occasion pour les étudiants de partager des connaissances, diffuser ses recherches, réseauter avec des chercheurs et étudiants dans une perspective interuniversitaire nationale et internationale dans une ambiance conviviale. La soirée sera composée de deux périodes de conférences entrecoupées d une période de pause destinée au réseautage. Le thème du congrès de l IAMCR 2015 s intitule : Hégémonie ou résistance? Sur le pouvoir ambigu de la communication? Le comité de sélection favorisera les présentations qui explorent la relation ambiguë entre la communication et les notions d hégémonie et de résistance. Incluez : votre nom complet, votre résumé, votre université d attache, votre niveau d étude, une bibliographie de 5 titres et 4 mots- clés. 2 Les communications sont évaluées par un comité scientifique formé de professeurs et d étudiants de troisième cycle de l UQAM. Nous acceptons un nombre maximum de 30 conférenciers. Langue Les langues officielles du congrès sont l anglais, le français et l espagnol. Nous suggérons aux orateurs de présenter leur sujet en anglais, mais les présentations dans les deux autres langues officielles seront également acceptées. Le support visuel devra cependant être entièrement en anglais ou bilingue afin que l audience puisse saisir le propos de la communication. 3 Call for Communication The Association des Étudiants de la Maîtrise et du Doctorat en Communication (AÉMDC) invites graduate students of universities around the world to submit their communication to the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Speed Networking event, which will be held on the 13th of July, 2015 atuniversité du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). The event is an evening where graduate students get an opportunity to present their research work in the very short period of TWO minutes. This will be a great chance for graduate students to share their knowledge, talk about their research amongst their peers, and network with other international students and researchers in a friendly atmosphere. The event will consist of two periods of X minutes where students will present their work to the audience. A break will take place in between the two periods to allow for networking opportunities. IAMCR 2015's theme for this year's conference is Hegemony or Resistance? The Ambiguous Power of Communication. The selection committee encourages presentations that explore the ambiguous relation between communication and notions of hegemony and resistance. For more information on the theme of the conference please visit the following link : Criteria for submission : You may submit your communication to aemdc.uqam@gmail.com with the following information : Your name, your submission, name of the university you are associated with, current level of education, a bibliography of maximum 5 lines, and 4 key- words related to your submission. the submissions must contain a maximum of 100 words (excluding bibliography)

4 The deadline for the submissions is the 1st of May 2015 before 12am Eastern Standard Time. All submissions are evaluated by a scientific committee consisting of professors and doctoral students at UQAM. We will be accepting 30 submissions for the conference. Language Criteria The official languages of the IAMCR congress are English, French, and Spanish. We suggest the speakers to present their subject in English. However, the presentations in the other two official languages are equally accepted. The visual support for the presentations must be in English or bilingual with English being one of the two languages. 5 Convocatoria a presentar resúmenes La asociación de los Estudiantes de la Licenciatura y del Doctorado de Comunicación (AELDC) invita los estudiantes del segundo ciclo a someter sus resúmenes de comunicación con el fin de participar a la velada estudiantil conexion rapida de l IAMCR que se desarrollará el 13 de julio en la UQAM. El conexion rapida de l IAMCR es una velada en las que les estudiantes conferenciantes presentan de manera breve sus trabajos e intereses de investigación en un periodo fugaz de un máximo de DOS minutos. La comunicación tendrá que ser acompañada de un soporte audiovisual en ingles. Sera la ocasión para los estudiantes de compartir conocimientos, difundir sus investigaciones, estar conectado con investigadores y estudiantes en una perspectiva interuniversitaria nacional e internacional en un ambiente distendido. La velada estará formada por dos periodos de conferencia entrecortadas de una pausa destinada al réseautage. El tema del congreso de l IAMCR 2015 se titula: Hegemonía o resistencia? Sobre el poder ambiguo de la comunicación? El Comité de selección favorecerá las presentaciones que exploren la relación ambigua entre comunicación y nociones de hegemonía y resistencia. Idioma Las lenguas oficiales del congreso son el inglés, el francés y el español. Sugerimos a los oradores de presentar sus temas en inglés pero las presentaciones en los dos otros idiomas oficiales serán aceptados.
