Après plusieurs étapes de préparation, le projet est maintenant défini, avec l approbation des Boulonnais qui se sont prononcés fin Ce site d exception va devenir un lieu culturel unique au monde. Il est porté par des initiatives publiques et privées de haut niveau, dans le domaine de la musique, des arts plastiques, du cirque numérique, du cinéma. Ces projets s épanouiront dans un cadre exceptionnel, dessiné par Jean Nouvel, en symbiose avec le site de la Seine et de ses coteaux. Haut lieu de l innovation urbaine, l île Seguin va prendre toute sa place au cœur de la Communauté d agglomération Grand Paris Seine Ouest, l un des territoires les plus dynamiques d Île-de-France. Avec ce projet, Boulogne-Billancourt est dans le droit fil de sa vocation de ville innovante et créative, qui a su accueillir le meilleur de la modernité depuis plus d un siècle, dans le champ de l architecture, du cinéma, de l industrie, ou des services. Je suis fier de ce grand projet, qui est déjà bien engagé avec la signature de partenariats majeurs. ILE SEGUIN S FUTURE STARTS NOW, IN With many of the preparatory phases completed, the shape of the final project is now settled, with Boulogne-Billancourt residents having voted to approve the final project in late This exceptional site will become an arts and entertainment hub unlike any other in the world. The project includes high-profile initiatives from the public and private spheres, embracing music, the visual arts, cinema and digital circus. These projects will flourish within a remarkable setting designed by Jean Nouvel to emphasise the symbiosis between the site, the River Seine and the surrounding hillsides. Ile Seguin will be a hothouse for urban innovations, located in the heart of the Grand Paris Seine Ouest integrated authority area, one of the most dynamic locations in the Île-de-France region. This project serves to underline Boulogne-Billancourt s vocation as a centre of innovation and creativity, a place with a century-long tradition of embracing the best of the architecture, cinema, industry and services that modernity offers. I am immensely proud of this major development which, with a number of headline partnerships already signed, is already well underway.

Boulogne-Billancourt s impose comme une ville à haut potentiel d attractivité pour les entreprises : médias et communication (TF1, Canal Plus, Reed Midem, L Équipe, bein Sport ), laboratoires (IPSEN, Roche, Pierre Fabre ), distribution (Carrefour, Sodexo ), technologies et services (Michelin,Cegedim ). Trois parkings publics (1 800 places au total) accueilleront les visiteurs de l île. L ambition du projet de l île Seguin a également permis de confirmer le développement de nouveaux transports : station du métro du Grand Paris dès 2018 et TZen (transports en site propre innovant). Ile Seguin already enjoys excellent road and public transport links (metro, tramway and 16 bus routes) with rapid connections to central Paris, La Défense and the airports. There will be three car parks on Ile Seguin, offering a total of 1,800 spaces for visitors. New public transport solutions have also been greenlighted, thanks to the size and scope of the Ile Seguin project, with the Grand Paris metro station (2018) and TZen (innovative rapid bus service running in dedicated corridors).

Leur ambition partagée est de réaliser un territoire dédié à la création, à ses acteurs et à ses publics. La réalisation du pôle musical à rayonnement national sur la pointe aval de l île, a été décidée par le Conseil général du Hauts-de-Seine, dans le cadre d un partenariat public-privé, dont le lauréat sera désigné au printemps R4, le pôle des arts plastiques et visuels, se déploiera sur la pointe amont (détail chapitre suivant). Autre projet innovant, le Globe conçu par Madona Bouglione accueillera des troupes de cirque contemporain et numérique venant du monde entier. D autres partenariats sont à l étude, notamment avec Europalaces Pathé pour un complexe cinématographique de 16 salles, ou encore des équipements mettant à l honneur les arts numériques ou le sport. IT IS THE SHEER CONCENTRATION OF ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES THAT WILL MAKE ILE SEGUIN A MAJOR INTERNATIONAL DRAW, ASSOCIATING LEADING PARTNERS FROM THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SPHERES. They share an ambition to create a place devoted to creations, creators and audiences. The Conseil Général du Hauts-de-Seine has decided to create a music hub of national significance on the downstream tip of the island. This will be a PPP project with the winning partner to be announced in the spring of R4, the platform dedicated to the visual arts, will be located on Ile Seguin s upstream tip (see details below). Another innovative project is the Globe, designed by Madona Bouglione, which will host modern and digital circus troupes from around the world. The possibilities of further partnerships are being looked into, including with Europalaces Pathé for a 16-screen cinema complex, as well as facilities for sports and the digital arts.

Cet ensemble, dont l architecture est conçue par Jean Nouvel, s adresse autant aux professionnels de l art qu au grand public. Première réalisation de l île, il réunira des ateliers d artistes, des galeries, des lieux d exposition, des réserves d œuvres d art ouvertes à la visite, des salles de vente. Une grande halle de m 2 s adaptera à de multiples événements : expositions, foires, festivals ou biennales. Sa réalisation d ores et déjà est bien engagée. Après la promesse de vente signée en novembre 2011 avec Yves Bouvier (société suisse Natural Le Coultre), le permis de construire est actuellement à l étude. AT A TIME WHEN MODERN ART IS BECOMING ACCESSIBLE TO A FAR LARGER AUDIENCE, ILE SEGUIN WILL BE HOSTING AN ARTS COMPLEX UNLIKE ANY OTHER IN THE WORLD: R4 With its architecture designed by Jean Nouvel, the arts complex caters to art professionals as well as the general public. This will be the first phase of the Ile Seguin project to be completed, providing workspace for artists, galleries, exhibition venues, fine art storage facilities open to visitors and auction rooms. The large 2,300-m2 hall can be used for a wide variety of events, including exhibitions, fairs, festivals and biennale events. Work on the project is already well advanced. With the sale agreed in November 2011 to Yves Bouvier (from Swiss company Natural Le Coultre), the planning application is currently being examined.

EN 3 ANS, LE JARDIN DE L ÎLE A REÇU PRÈS DE VISITEURS, UN SUCCÈS PROMETTEUR POUR LE PROJET. Le Jardin de l Île (2 ha.), conçu par Michel Desvigne, est un espace de verdure très prisé qui accueille une programmation culturelle et événementielle diversifiée. Ainsi, R4 fait déjà vivre les arts plastiques et visuels sur l île. En octobre 2012, l île Seguin a été choisie comme lieu officiel «Hors les murs» de la FIAC : une vingtaine d œuvres d art ont été présentées aux professionnels et au grand public. Avec l association Cirque en Chantier, Madona Bouglione invite les plus grandes troupes de cirque mondiales pour préfigurer la réalisation du Globe, l équipement dédié au cirque contemporain et numérique. L île est aussi le lieu d accueil du Pavillon sur l île Seguin, pour tout connaître sur le passé, le présent et le futur de l île. Enfin, l île est aussi le théâtre de manifestations privées de grandes entreprises, qui créent leurs propres événements. En 2013, la chanteuse Björk choisi l île pour sa tournée et le retour du Cirque du Soleil est déjà prévu à partir de novembre! ILE SEGUIN IS ALREADY AN APPEALING AND DYNAMIC SITE, THANKS TO A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES ON OFFER, A FORETASTE OF AN AMBITIOUS PROGRAMME OF ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENTS. THE ISLAND S GARDEN HAS ATTRACTED CLOSE TO 500,000 VISITORS IN THREE YEARS, A PROMISING RESULT FOR THE FUTURE OF THE PROJECT. The 2-hectare Ile Seguin garden, designed by Michel Desvigne, is a highly sought-after open space that plays host to a wide-ranging programme of entertainment and cultural events. For example, the creation of a vibrant visual arts community on the island is already underway with the R4 project. In October 2012, Ile Seguin was chosen as an official site for the FIAC (International Contemporary Art Fair) Hors les murs exhibition, featuring outdoor art installations, and twenty artworks were displayed to art professionals and public alike. As part of the Cirque En Chantier project, Madona Bouglione is inviting leading circus troupes from around the world to the island in the run-up to the creation of the Globe, a facility dedicated to contemporary and digital circus arts. The island is also home to the Pavillon sur l île Seguin, providing visitors with all they need to know about the island s past, present and future. And Ile Seguin is providing the venue for private corporate events. Highlights for 2013 include the arrival of singer Bjork, who has chosen the island for her tour, and the Cirque du Soleil, already scheduled for a run starting in November.
