1 1. Maryse Côté-Hamel Marketing Advisor, Quebec City Tourism Maryse Côté-Hamel is a marketing advisor (market intelligence) at Quebec City Tourism. She contributes in structuring market knowledge, while actively participating in all marketing research and strategic planning for the organization, as well as the destination. She holds an undergraduate degree in consumer sciences from Laval University and a Master s degree in marketing from Concordia University. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in marketing at Concordia University, where she specializes in consumer behavior. In the past few years, she was a Senior Research Manager at Ipsos Marketing, and a marketing research consultant and analyst for Zins Beauchesne and associates, a well-regarded market research firm. She thus conducted studies for clients such as the international tourist destination Mont-Tremblant, the Cirque du Soleil and Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services. Moreover, she has been a lecturer at Laval University for a few years now, where she teaches, in French and in English, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, courses such as Market Research, Qualitative Research in Consumer Sciences, Consumer Studies and Commercial Research, Marketing Management and Consumer Behavior. She wishes to join the board of directors of TTRA Canada to get involved in the tourism research industry, to develop relationships and share good practices with other tourism research organizations, and to actively contribute to all the association s projects, including the organization of the 2017 international conference in beautiful Québec city. Maryse Côté-Hamel est conseillère en marketing (intelligence de marché) à l Office du tourisme de Québec. Elle contribue à la structuration de la connaissance des marchés, tout en participant activement à l ensemble des activités liées à la recherche marketing et à la planification stratégique de l organisation et de la destination. Elle est détentrice d un baccalauréat en sciences de la consommation de l Université Laval et d une maîtrise en marketing de l Université Concordia. Elle est présentement candidate au doctorat en marketing à l Université Concordia, où elle se spécialise en comportement du consommateur. Au cours des dernières années, elle a été gestionnaire de recherche senior chez Ipsos Marketing, de même que consultante et analyste en recherche marketing chez Zins Beauchesne et associés, une firme de recherche marketing réputée. Elle a ainsi réalisé des études pour des clients tels que la destination touristique internationale Mont-Tremblant, le Cirque du Soleil et l Industrielle Alliance, Assurance et services financiers. Depuis plusieurs années, elle est également chargée de cours à l Université Laval, en français et en anglais, au baccalauréat et à la maîtrise, pour des cours tels qu Études de marché, Méthodes qualitatives en consommation, Études de consommation et recherche commerciale, Marketing Management et Comportement du consommateur.

2 Elle souhaite rejoindre le conseil d administration de TTRA Canada afin de s impliquer dans l industrie de la recherche en tourisme, de développer des relations et partager des bonnes pratiques avec d autres organisations de recherche en tourisme, et de contribuer activement à tous les projets de l association, dont l organisation du congrès international de 2017 qui aura lieu dans la belle ville de Québec.

András Lukács, Ph.D. Manager, Research and Planning Tourism and Parks Division, Government of Northwest Territories Andras Lukacs is the Manager of Research and Planning for the Government of Northwest Territories Tourism and Parks division within the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment. He has been with the department for two years. Andras previously worked for Statistics Canada and the NWT Bureau of Statistics. Andras recently earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago. His ethnographic dissertation focused on intergenerational networks in new media spaces. Andras would like to explore ways to increase TTRA membership, be active in the review sub-committee and promote more collaboration between government, academia and the business community.

Kailee Penner A/ Senior Researcher, Research, Planning & Evaluation Destination British Columbia Kailee Penner is currently a Senior Research in the Research, Planning and Evaluation division of Destination BC. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts. She has obtained 8 years of research experience, largely within mental health but more recently in the tourism field over the past 3 years. Her tourism research responsibilities currently include performance tracking and indicators publications, EQ related-research, destination brand research, economic impact studies, program evaluations, and satisfaction surveys. Kailee hopes to bring her dedication of tourism and research to the TTRA Canada Chapter Board from a DMO perspective. Specifically, Kailee can bring insights from a British Columbia perspective, fulfilling further provincial representation on the board.

8 5. Nicole L. Vaugeois, Ph.D. BC Regional Innovation Chair in Tourism and Sustainable Rural Development Co-Director, World Leisure Centre of Excellence in Sustainability and Innovation Vancouver Island University Nicole Vaugeois is the BC Regional Innovation Chair in Tourism and Sustainable Rural Development at Vancouver Island University (BCRIC) and Director of the World Leisure Center (WLC) of Excellence in Sustainability and Innovation. Nicole obtained her PhD in Park, Recreation and Tourism Resources from Michigan State University where she also worked with the Travel and Tourism Resource Center. In her role as BCRIC, she supports rural areas to diversify through amenity based opportunities like recreation and tourism by providing research support and sharing innovative examples. As Director for the WLC, Nicole works with others interested in the concepts of sustainability and innovation in leisure. Nicole s research interests include amenity based development, tourism innovation, sustainability models, tourism labour market, visitor experience and population mobility. Some of her research contributions include: the development of research models that provide community based visitor data, regional and provincial tourism labour market analysis, policy analysis for the Canadian Rural and Cooperatives Secretariat on amenity based development. Nicole has extensive Board experience at the local and regional destination level including Tourism Vancouver Island and Tourism Leadership Nanaimo, and has served at the national level with the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation. She is keen to bring this background and expertise to serve on the Board of TTRA where her expertise in rural and sustainable tourism will complement the existing Board.
