2 SOLID BASICS AND A HIGH-GROWTH STRATEGY Frédéric Castrec The end of the year is near and we are observing encouraging results, in accordance with our objectives, even slightly higher. The growth of Serimax is being confirmed, proving that the strategy implemented at the end of 2013 to go along with the high-growth trend of the market is successful. It opens a new cycle, based on the basics that make us stand out. Therefore, we keep on reinforcing our closeness to our clients, mostly through our regional centers. Enriching our knowhow in areas that complement our trade, such as Field Joint Coating, equally contributes to our development. Not to mention that we have widely developed the notion of package to offer contracts including multiple services centered on welding, that we will be able to extend in order to target neighboring markets, such as the manufacturing of subsea components. In this way, we keep on getting closer to the major actors of the market, who are indeed faithful to us. Project News SERIMAX IN POLE POSITION IN SAUDI ARABIA AND THE MIDDLE EAST Khaled Ali In Saudi Arabia and generally in the Middle East, the fast-growing energy market presents a significant potential. Hence, strategic projects are being orchestrated by Saudi Aramco, through which Serimax appears as a key subcontractor. Recently, two large-scale projects have been initiated by Saudi Aramco: The Master Gas pipeline of about 700 km and the Shedgum Yanbu pipeline of about 600 km. Within the context of the Shaybah NGL project, covering 650 km, an extension has also just been completed. Moreover, additional bids are being released, totalling about 1,000 km. Major industry actors are involved in these projects. Supported by its successes in the past years, Serimax developed strong relationships with most of them. Thus, we have been awarded contracts regarding the Master Gas pipeline and the Shaybah extension, while the Shedgum Yanbu project might offer us another opportunity to reinforce our position on the landline and offshore markets in this region. On this very dynamic market, Serimax stands out in the field of automatic welding. Hard precision work and committed team spirit on the ground, as well as commercial efforts offered us this strategic position, not to mention the support of all involved Serimax departments worldwide. SERIMAX EN POLE POSITION EN ARABIE SAOUDITE ET AU MOYEN-ORIENT Khaled Ali Khaled Ali, Middle East Area Manager En Arabie Saoudite et, plus globalement, au Moyen-Orient, le marché florissant de l énergie présente un potentiel significatif. Ainsi, des projets stratégiques sont actuellement orchestrés par Saudi Aramco, faisant de Serimax un sous-traitant phare. Récemment, deux projets d envergure ont été initiés par Saudi Aramco : le pipeline Master Gas d environ 700 km et celui de Shedgum Yanbu d environ 600 km. TEN PROJECT IN GHANA: 3 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER! Julien Blondeel Within the context of the TEN project, Serimax EMEA/CIS has already been awarded two contracts by Interpipe and Technip. A third mission will begin in collaboration with Subsea 7 for an offshore scope of work, reinforcing our leading position on the West African market. Further to the awards by Interpipe (double joints fabrication for pipe-inpipe production lines and gas export line) and Technip (qualifications, stalks fabrication and offshore tieins), Serimax will continue its cooperation with Technip and Subsea 7 on the TEN project. This third contract consists in providing the offshore welding services for the installation of the pipe-in-pipe and gas export lines as part of our long-term agreement on board the Borealis. The pipelines will be delivered offshore in double joints that are currently being fabricated by Serimax at the Interpipe yard in Caen, France. Located in Ghana, the offshore installation of the double joints will start in August It includes 3,293 welds in both S-Lay and J-Lay configuration on 24.4 meters pipes and of various dimensions (8.625, 6.625, 10.75, 11 and ). Julien Blondeel Via le projet TEN, Serimax EMEA/CIS a déjà remporté deux contrats auprès d Interpipe et Technip. Une troisième mission offshore est prévue en collaboration avec Subsea 7, venant renforcer notre position de leader sur le marché ouest africain. Serimax poursuivra sa coopération avec Technip et Subsea 7 sur TEN, après avoir déjà réalisé deux projets : l un pour Interpipe (fabrication de «double joints» pour des lignes de production en pipe-in-pipe et une conduite d exportation de gaz) et l autre pour Technip (qualifications, fabrication de stalks et tie-ins offshore). Pour honorer ce troisième contrat, en tant que prestataire de longue date à bord de la Borealis, nous fournirons les services de soudage sur les tubes en pipe-in-pipe et la conduite d exportation de gaz. Les pipelines en «double joints» sont actuellement en cours de préparation par Serimax sur le site d Interpipe à Caen. A travers ces trois contrats remportés par Serimax, le projet TEN constitue un véritable succès pour le groupe Vallourec et la division Pipe Project. 3 Project News Business & Technology Awarded by Subsea 7 to Serimax in the second quarter of 2013, the Martin Linge project consisted of 5,600 welds of 24 x 19.1 mm WT carbon steel pipeline that stretches for 65 km in the North Sea. Serimax NEU was in charge of managing the project using Serimax EMEA s expertise in the Saturnax 09 system for qualification. So, we strived for a One Serimax operation between the two regions to ensure the project was successfully delivered. Serimax EMEA ran a WPQT program and performed various tests regarding weldability, consistency as well as final preparation trials. The objective was to ensure everything was correctly in place for a successful production with the Saturnax 09. Subsea 7 s demands were high to guarantee the mission was well underway and the pipe ready on time to meet the Borealis vessel s tight schedule. For better performance, Serimax even designed and modified two Internal Line-Up Clamps (ILUCs), somewhere between a standard clamp and a re-rounder clamp, so that the fit up of the pipe was perfect for every weld reducing risk of repairs. Welding Station For Serimax NEU, this is the first project with this stateof-the-art equipment and we have achieved a 0.2% repair rate for the complete production, which was an outstanding result for so many welds. The Serimax production team from both regions has executed a great job along with Subsea 7 in ensuring that the welding was accurately performed throughout the production. Another prime example of all the hard work achieved to be proactive and ready, the long time granted to the planning and preparation phases on this project has paid off during its execution. As we know, planning and preparation are the most important aspects of any project to guarantee everything is in place for those expected to execute the project successfully. Serimax Team MARTIN LINGE PROJECT FOR SUBSEA 7: ONE SERIMAX IN ACTION! Murdo MacAngus Main line Bridge 1 PROJET MARTIN LINGE POUR SUBSEA 7 : LES ÉQUIPES SERIMAX UNIES DANS L ACTION! Murdo MacAngus Au second trimestre 2013, Subsea 7 confiait à Serimax le projet Martin Linge, comprenant soudures sur un pipeline en Carbon Steel (CS) de 24 (60,96 cm) et de 19,1 mm d épaisseur, qui s étend sur 65 km en Mer du Nord. Chargée de superviser cette mission, notre équipe NEU a fait appel à l expertise de la région EMEA sur le Saturnax 09 pour les qualifications. Cette collaboration entre deux régions illustre l unité du groupe Serimax dans le souci d assurer la réussite de nos activités. Serimax EMEA a réalisé la qualification des procédures de soudage (WPQT), ainsi que divers tests, portant sur la faisabilité des soudures, la cohérence des opérations et la finalisation de la préparation. L objectif : s assurer que tout soit en place pour lancer la production à l aide du Saturnax 09. Subsea 7 s est avéré très exigeant quant au bon déroulement de cette mission et le pipe devait être prêt dans les délais pour coller au planning serré de la Borealis. Gage de performance, Serimax a également conçu et modifié deux ILUCs (Internal Line-Up Clamps), à mi-chemin entre un modèle standard et un clamp re-rounder : le pipe était donc parfaitement aligné à chaque soudure, réduisant ainsi les éventuelles réparations. Ce projet signe la première utilisation de cet équipement de pointe par Serimax NEU. Sur l ensemble de la production, nous avons d ailleurs atteint un taux de réparation de 0,2%, remarquable pour un si grand nombre de soudures. Les équipes opérationnelles des deux régions se sont montrées très professionnelles, accompagnant Subsea 7 en s assurant de la qualité du soudage tout au long du projet. Cet exemple souligne notre engagement, afin d être toujours proactifs et prêts dans les délais. Sur ce projet, le temps accordé aux phases de planification et de préparation a payé lors de la mise en production. LIVE FROM 2014 OTC: EXTERNAX DEMONSTRATION Stephan Faucher In May, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) hosted the Oil & Gas international community in Houston. During this event, second to none in the industry, Serimax maximised its exposure by conducting a technological demonstration in its Houston workshop. The OTC offered a great networking opportunity and allowed the Externax, Saturnax and Cleverweld to be seen in operation in a controlled and safe environment. The clients feedback was very positive as many decision makers are not always familiar with this type of equipment. The real time video showing the Externax welding two pipes together certainly impressed the attendees and launched a solid marketing campaign to create a need in the market place, notably for spoolbase automatic tie-ins. EN DIRECT DE L OTC 2014 : DÉMONSTRATION AUTOUR DE L EXTERNAX Stephan Faucher En mai, l Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) a réuni à Houston les spécialistes du marché mondial du pétrole et du gaz. Un rendez-vous incontournable pour la profession, lors duquel Serimax s est distingué, via une démonstration dans ses ateliers de Houston. L OTC nous a offert l opportunité d entretenir notre réseau et de présenter les technologies Externax, Saturnax et Cleverweld en action dans un environnement contrôlé et sécurisé. Nombre de décisionnaires n étant pas familiers avec ce type d équipement, les retours ont été très positifs. La vidéo en temps réel de l Externax soudant deux pipes a également fait forte impression, marquant le lancement d une campagne marketing visant à créer un besoin sur le marché, notamment sur celui des spoolbases sur lesquelles sont réalisés des tie-ins en automatique. MALIKAI PROJECT: A HIGHLY TECHNICAL MISSION FOR TECHNIP IN MALAYSIA Thomas Chassagne Located in Malaysia, the Malikai offshore project has been granted to Serimax by our contractor Technip with a total work scope of approximately 8,000 welds. The qualifications of this highly technical mission have begun in April 2014 and are to be conducted throughout the year, while production will be completed next year This project includes Carbon Steel (CS) flowlines, but also Steel Catenary Risers (SCR), both in CS as well as in Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA). On the field, the Serimax team is carrying Non Destructive Testing (NDT) via Scanvision camera for CRA. The specificities of the Malikai project rely on particularly stringent requirements from Shell DEP specification. In fact, the SCR already imply very specific and high level requirements due to fatigue testing constraints, which are amplified here since a part of the work scope covers a CRA portion. Welding processes involved will be pulsed GMAW with STT (Surface Tension Transfer) for the root pass of the SCR-CS portion, while SCR-CRA will be welded via manual GTAW. PROJET MALIKAI POUR TECHNIP EN MALAISIE : UNE MISSION HAUTEMENT TECHNIQUE Thomas Chassagne Technip a confié à Serimax le projet offshore Malikai, en Malaisie, comprenant soudures au total. La particularité du projet Malikai réside dans des exigences très strictes, découlant des spécifications de Shell DP. Récemment acquis, cet équipement permet de simuler précisément d éventuelles malfaçons. Cette phase couvre également des tests de capacité du procédé (PCT ou Process Capability Trials) et de fatigue sur les SCR, effectués par notre sous-traitant Exova dans nos locaux de Pasir Gudang. Reposant sur une équipe internationale d experts Serimax, venus des régions APAC et EMEA/CIS, le projet Malikai bénéficie également de nos technologies et équipements les plus récents, comme la caméra Scanvision ou l EDM. ROTA CABIUNAS 2: SERIMAX REINFORCES ITS POSITION IN BRAZIL Fabrice N Kouka Within the context of the Rota Cabiúnas 2 project in Brazil, Petrobras selected Saipem as the main EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) company. For the shallow water section, Saipem subcontracted Van Oord Offshore BV, which entrusted Serimax do Brasil with an operational mission. This project consists in the laying of approximately 13 km of 24 gas export pipelines in 8 to 40 meters water depth. The pipelay will be executed on board the Van Oord Stingray SWLB (Shallow Water Lay Barge) vessel and will be part of the additional route dedicated to the flow of gas produced in the Rio de Janeiro State s Santos Basin. To ensure this mission, Serimax has provided a full range tof automatic welding equipments, such as Saturnax 07, Pipe Facing Machines and clamps. We have also put in dedicated personnel, including a maintenance team, welders, helpers, spacers, line-up operators, and supervisors. The mobilization on board the stingray took place in May and the welders qualifications have been completed in June. In July, the automatic welding production started, punctuated with many weather stand-by due to heavy swell. In total, about 60 professionals are on site to carry out Serimax s mission: To provide our client excellence in offshore services and assist them in becoming a reference contractor for Petrobras. This project being Van Oord s first offshore pipelay mission in Brazil, Serimax appeared to be the best choice as welding subcontractor, thanks to our local presence in this country and to our long term relationship with Petrobras, notably on board the BGL-1 vessel for their offshore welding operations. PROJET ROTA CABIUNAS 2 : SERIMAX RENFORCE SA POSITION AU BRÉSIL Fabrice N Kouka Dans le cadre du projet Rota Cabiúnas 2 au Brésil, Petrobras a choisi Saipem comme principal intervenant EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation). Pour la portion en eaux peu profondes, Saipem a retenu Van Oord Offshore BV, qui a confié à Serimax do Brasil une mission opérationnelle. Celle-ci consiste à poser des pipelines de 24 (60,96 cm) sur environ 13 km, à une profondeur de 8 à 40 mètres. Réalisés sur la barge Stingray SWLB de Van Oord, ces travaux contribueront à la création d une ligne supplémentaire d acheminement du gaz Van Oord Stingray Vessel produit dans le Santos Basin de l Etat de Rio de Janeiro. Ainsi, Serimax a fourni une gamme complète d équipements de soudage automatique, comprenant le Saturnax 07, des chanfreineuses (PFM) ou encore des clamps. Nous avons également mis à disposition des personnels dédiés : équipe de maintenance, soudeurs, helpers, spacers, opérateurs line-up et superviseurs. Après l embarquement à bord du Stingray en mai, les qualifications des soudeurs ont eu lieu en juin. Dès juillet, la production a débuté, ponctuée par plusieurs interruptions dues à une forte houle. 5 Spotlight Partnership Serimax Actors GUILLAUME GRAINDOR: PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND OF A TECHNOLOGY ENTHUSIAST, APPOINTED EMEA/CIS VICE-PRESIDENT Attracted by technical careers, Guillaume dreamt of becoming an engineer in an industrial field. Through various connections, the energy market allows him to combine his three passions: technology, business development and human relations. Recruited by Serimax in 2006, he was appointed EMEA/CIS vice-president last February and is excited to put his experience to a good use. Guillaume starts his career in 1996 as a technician for Polysoude, before acting as welder engineer for Bouygues Offshore and, finally, market manager for Air Liquide Welding. He joins Serimax in December 2006 as head of R&D welding, then of R&D global, charged with the setting out of our organisation by trade. He thus contributes to the development of our latest technologies (Saturnax 09, Cleverweld, Multinax and Externax particularly). In his new functions, he supervises from Mitry-Mory a team of about 300 people in an area covering Europe, the Middle-East, Africa, Russia and the CIS. Guillaume débute sa carrière en 1996 comme technicien chez Polysoude, avant d officier en tant qu ingénieur soudeur chez Bouygues Offshore et, enfin, chef de marché Energie chez Air Liquide Welding. Il rejoint Serimax en décembre 2006 comme responsable de la R&D soudage, puis de la R&D globale, chargé de la mise en place de notre organisation par métier. Il contribue ainsi au développement de nos dernières technologies (Saturnax 09, Cleverweld, Multinax et l Externax notamment). 6 Serimax 40 th birthday News of the Group 40 YEARS ALREADY FLASHBACK ON THE HISTORY OF SERIMAX Alain Hersent Early in the 70 s, ETPM (the first French offshore contractor) is about to install its first pipeline offshore Gabon, an 8 in 100 feet of water. The barge is fitted with a 400 feet long stinger, made in X70, that quickly breaks! As a young engineer, I suggest reducing its length and using a home-made tensioning device built with a counterweight and cables! Edmond Minkiewicz supervises the shortening operation It s a success! We weld almost a kilometre a day and realise that welding engineering should be developed. Norbert Poirier is recruited and together with Edmond Minkiewicz they start dreaming of mechanisation. In 1976, ETPM wins a large contract to install a 32 pipeline in the North Sea: Total insists on using the CRC system. Our challenge is clear; we have to do a better job! A year later, ETPM develops its welding department (Serimer DASA) with Denis Destouches, Eric L Arvor, Roger Milosevic and soon ideas turn into prototypes; Total is co-financing development costs. In 1981, Saturne is used for the first time and Saturnax follows shortly. Technically, that s almost perfect but costs are too high, delivery times too long, and there is room to improve reporting, return on experience! As Technical VP of ETPM and in charge of Serimer, I m also concerned by the de facto exclusivity between the two entities; competition is a must. Fortunately, in 1991, ETPM and the US contractor J. Ray McDermott enter into a joint venture and ETPM, managing West Africa and the North Sea, decides to use Serimer. Fortunately also, McDermott questions each defect, reluctantly accepts costs of welding A tough period for us but Serimer improves! In 1997, both partners decide to break the joint venture and the number of barges managed by ETPM is divided by 2; what should we do with the surplus welding equipment, with our engineers and technicians? Henri de Roissard, ETPM CEO, satisfies my dream: try to develop Serimer by attracting more contractors, even competitors of ETPM. Then I leave my well furnished office within ETPM and move in Villers-Cotterêts. For me, it s the beginning of a challenging and rewarding period Efforts on training of personnel, improvements on equipment and welding procedures, driving costs down and delivery times have positive impacts and that s rather easy to convince potential offshore customers, but also landline contractors. Soon Serimer becomes the leader offshore, welding for almost all offshore contractors. Together with UMAX from Scotland, turnkey contracts are entered into and Serimax is created. That s the end of my dictatorship! 40 years, more or less? Bientôt, les systèmes Serimer sont (presque) au point, mais que de sueurs froides! Les coûts se révèlent trop élevés, le reporting laisse à désirer, les délais sont trop longs, mais les progrès sensibles. Alors Directeur Technique d ETPM et Gérant de Serimer, je m inquiète de la position d exclusivité réciproque entre les deux entités. En 1991, ETPM s allie avec l Américain McDermott, qui dispose de son propre système de soudage, tout en utilisant souvent CRC. Heureusement, ETPM gère les régions Mer du Nord et Afrique et, avec Serimer, bat de nombreux records. McDermott critique nos coûts et scrute chaque défaut, mais c est un facteur de progrès. 1997, la Joint Venture avec McDermott est dissoute : que faire alors de nos techniciens, de nos équipements? Le PDG d ETPM, Henri de Roissard, m autorise enfin à quitter mon beau bureau de Nanterre pour Villers-Cotterêts, acceptant (contre l avis d autres responsables) de nous laisser travailler pour les concurrents. Pour moi, c est le début d une fabuleuse période! Les efforts sur la formation des hommes, la fiabilisation des équipements, la compréhension des défauts, sur les délais et les coûts portent leurs fruits. Les cadences obtenues sur les barges de la Joint Venture font le reste et, avec quelques efforts commerciaux, nous réussissons relativement facilement à devenir le leader mondial en mer, travaillant pour presque tous les entrepreneurs. Nous connaissons également des succès certains à terre. Puis, en partenariat avec Umax, nous osons proposer à certains clients le soudage «clef en main» : ce sera bientôt Serimax et la fin de «ma» période Bravo à tous les acteurs, y compris à ceux qui ne manquaient pas d idées parfois farfelues (Jacque Lacôme, Gilles Richard )! LES FACTEURS DE CETTE RÉUSSITE? L écoute et le respect du Client, en particulier en le tenant informé des difficultés lorsqu il y en a et des remèdes envisagés. L humilité : c est l arrogance et la trop grande confiance en lui qui ont desservi notre principal concurrent. La formation technique du personnel, notamment en matière d attitude vis-à-vis du Client et de la Sécurité. L innovation, la fiabilisation des équipements et des processus. Le contrôle et la connaissance des coûts. Tout ceci, c est en fait la Qualité. Ajoutons à cela un actionnaire industriel (ETPM, puis Vallourec), la pugnacité et un peu de chance! Je suis fier (aïe l humilité!) d avoir conduit, pendant plus de 10 années passionnantes, Serimer DASA et de l avoir transformé en Serimax. Frédéric Castrec During the first quarter of 2015, Serimax s brand new Welding Technology Center (WTC) will open its doors near our headquarters of Villepinte, near Paris. Meant to allow us to reinforce our leadership in the field of welding solutions, it will support our development strategy. Witness of our ambition, this location, which will concentrate our forces, will be yours first. A site dedicated to R&D The WTC aims at increasing our capacity for research and development, thanks to a specific location, offering better visibility. Therefore, we will be able to continue to design cutting-edge solutions in optimal conditions, compatible with the expectations of the market. This site will also allow us to maintain closer relations with our clients. Indeed, the doors of the WTC will be wide open for them and we will do everything in our power to create, with them, new tools adapted to their requirements. Unite all our teams Composed of offices and a m 2 workshop, the WTC will harbor our central functions: R&D, but also operations and support, which assist our regional entities on a daily basis. 8 FJC for Dummies Business & Technology HSE / CMT Reglementation, Control & Safety WHAT IS FJC? Phil Bond and Carl Vincent Field joint coating (FJC) is the process of completing the factory coating protection at the bare steel area around the welded joint. The fundamental purpose of the coating is to protect the field joint from corrosion, but other materials may be applied over this layer to provide mechanical protection as well as thermal insulation. COMING SOON: ON YOUR BIKE DAY! Helen Dornan As you all know, across the different departments of Serimax, we have been re-enforcing every month one of the Golden Rules for Safety. October s Rule focuses on protecting the environment with a triple theme: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Moreover, the month will end with a special day The field joint solution has to be compatible with the factory applied coating and the operating temperature of the pipeline. For offshore pipelines the most common factory coatings are three layer and multi-layer polypropylene based solutions. Three layer solutions (3LPP) are normally around 3mm overall thickness, whereas multi-layer coatings (MLPP) vary from 20mm to more than 120mm thickness. Sometimes fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) alone is used as the factory coating, although these tend to be larger diameter pipelines which require a concrete weight coating (CWC), that provides both mechanical protection to the fragile FBE anti-corrosion layer as well as on-bottom stability to the overall pipeline. In most cases the field joint primary anti-corrosion layer is around 400 microns of FBE. This is a special powder which fuses into a solid mass when it impacts a heated steel surface. The choice of top coat is normally prescribed by the client who will approve certain solutions. For three layer coated pipelines a polypropylene (PP) top coat will be applied over a PP adhesive which bonds the top coat PP to the FBE. For insulated lines a thick layer of either polypropylene (IMPP) or polyurethane (IMPU) will be injected into the field joint void. IMPP will provide a higher integrity solution but is expensive and time consuming to apply. IMPU offers a cheaper and faster solution, but the bond between the factory coating and the PU is not as secure as the fully fused bond obtained with IMPP. Excellent environmental initiatives In our travels around the company supporting the regions, we have come across some excellent initiatives for protecting the environment. For example, in many locations, sections of pipe are reused for training purposes. Plastic bottles are also recycled into PETs (not the furry animals that sit by the fireside but Polyethylene Terephthalate) for making Serimax polo shirts. Another example: reducing water usage by adding air into taps. Of course, all other good ideas are welcome! Ready to pedal? To celebrate Protecting the Environment month, we are launching On Your Bike day on Tuesday 28 th October. This will involve all aspects of HSE: Health: The exercise involved in cycling must improve the fitness and well being of people. Safety: If you decide to cycle to work, you will need to consider all sorts of safety issues such as planning the safest route and what you need to wear. Environment: Using bikes instead of other transport will improve our carbon footprint. So, have fun on that bike on 28 th October and spread the word! QU EST-CE QUE LE FJC? Parfois, l unique revêtement initial est un produit époxyde appliqué par fusion (FBE). Cependant, il s agit souvent de pipelines de plus grand diamètre, requérant un revêtement de lestage en béton (CWC), qui permet à la fois de protéger mécaniquement la fragile couche anticorrosion de FBE et de stabiliser sur le fond l ensemble du pipeline. Dans la plupart des cas, la couche anticorrosion primaire du joint est constituée de 400 microns de FBE. Cette poudre spéciale se transforme en masse solide, lorsqu elle entre en contact avec une surface en acier chauffé. Le choix de la couche de finition est normalement dicté par le client, qui préférera certaines solutions à d autres. Pour les pipelines avec revêtement à triple couche, une finition en polypropylène sera appliquée par-dessus un adhésif, lui aussi en polypropylène, pour la faire fusionner avec le FBE. Pour les lignes revêtues d un isolant thermique, une épaisse couche de polypropylène (procédé IMPP) ou de polyuréthane (procédé IMPU) sera injectée dans la cavité du joint. Solution permettant une plus haute intégrité technique, l IMPP s avère onéreuse et son application demande du temps. Si l IMPU est plus économique et rapide, l adhésion entre le revêtement (PP) initial et le polyuréthane (PU) n est pas aussi sûre que la fusion intégrale obtenue avec l IMPP (base PP). Des bouteilles en plastique sont également recyclées en PET (vous savez, le polyéthylène téréphtalate) pour fabriquer des polos Serimax. Autre illustration : la réduction de la consommation d eau, grâce à des robinets qui la mélangent avec de l air. Et, bien sûr, toutes les autres bonnes idées sont les bienvenues! Prêts à pédaler? Cette opération impliquera d ailleurs tous les aspects de notre démarche Hygiène-Sécurité- Environnement (HSE) : L hygiène : faire de la bicyclette est un bon exercice, qui permet d améliorer sa forme physique comme son bien-être.
