Lors d une visite en l an 2000 de la Ville de Dieppe, Nouveau-Brunswick, Canada, à celle de Dieppe, France, la délégation du Nouveau-Brunswick a cherché à identifier des opportunités de partenariat en éducation, culture, histoire et tourisme. Il a alors été identifié qu un festival tenu à Dieppe, France depuis 20 ans, le Festival international de Cerf-Volant de Dieppe, serait une excellente idée pour un programme de jumelage. Suite à des échanges entre les deux villes ainsi que les représentants du festival, un protocole de collaboration fut établi et signé entre les deux festivals pour ainsi donner naissance à l International du cerf-volant à Dieppe, au Canada, en Le festival au Canada maintient une collaboration avec Dieppe, France, sur des aspects techniques, le choix des participants, des échanges d idées et de personnel. Vous trouverez ci-joints les renseignements au sujet des différents niveaux de commandite du plus important festival du cerf-volant en Amérique du Nord. L International du cerf-volant à Dieppe (ICV), maintenant un événement annuel, rassemble des centaines de cerfs-volistes provenant du monde entier au parc Dover. Suite à l immense succès de ce festival unique en son genre et à la capacité de celui-ci de rejoindre des milliers de personnes, nous sommes convaincus qu un partenariat serait avantageux pour votre entreprise. Avec votre appui, nous pourrons offrir plusieurs activités dans nos trois volets, soit le cerf-volant, les activités communautaires et les activités culturelles. C est un privilège pour la Ville de Dieppe de tenir un événement d une telle envergure et nous sommes heureux que l événement soit désormais annuel. 3 The history of kites in Dieppe During a visit from the City of Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada, to Dieppe, France, in 2000, the New Brunswick delegation sought to identify opportunities for partnerships in education, culture, history and tourism. During the visit, it was determined that a festival held in Dieppe, France, for the past 20 years the International Dieppe Kite was an excellent idea for a twinning program. Following exchanges between the two cities and Festival representatives, a collaboration protocol was established and signed between the two festivals. This protocol led to the founding of Dieppe KITE International in The Canadian festival continues to collaborate with Dieppe, France, on technical aspects, choice of participants, as well as the exchange of ideas and staff. Enclosed, you will find details on the various levels of sponsorship available for the largest kite festival on North America. Dieppe KITE International (DKI) is now an annual event bringing together hundreds of kite fliers from all over the world at Dover Park. Following the huge success of this unique festival, and its capacity to reach thousands of people, we are certain that a partnership would be advantageous for your company. With your support, we will be able to offer a number of activities in three areas: kites, community activities and cultural activities. It is a privilege for the City of Dieppe to hold an event of this magnitude. We are certainly pleased that it is now held annually. We hope you will take part! De plus, cet item sera ajouté au communiqué envoyé aux abonnés de la liste d envoi de la Ville de Dieppe. En février, cette liste comptait plus de 530 abonnés. Le communiqué sera également envoyé à tous les médias de la région. Entrevue promotonnelle avec BoFM Grâce à une entente entre la Ville de Dieppe et la station de radio BoFM, le commanditaire ainsi que l agent communautaire feront une entrevue de 15 minutes avec la station. Journaux Le logo se retrouvera sur chacune des publicités payées par l ICV. Pub sur napperons Le commanditaire recevra un espace gratuit sur les napperons conçus spécialement pour le festival et imprimés à plus de copies. Ceux-ci sont distribués une semaine avant l événement aux restaurants participants. Billets gratuits

The brochure contains the Festival s programming. The Communications Department can lay out the ad or it can be supplied by the sponsor. As well, the brochure will be included with the news release to be sent to the City of Dieppe s distribution list. In February, the list had more than 530 subscribers. As well, the news release and brochure will be sent to all local media. Promotonal interview with BoFM Thanks to an agreement between the City of Dieppe and the BoFM radio station, the sponsor and the Community Officer will take part in a 15-minute interview with the station. Newspapers The logo will appear in each paid ad by DKI. Ad on placemats The sponsor will receive a free space on the placemats specially designed for the Festival. More than 50,000 copies will be printed. The placemats will be distributed one week before the event to participating restaurants. Thank-you sign Free tickets

6 Radio Une campagne publicitaire radio sera produite pour ce projet. Le commanditaire sera remercié à la fin de chaque pub qui mentionne son partenariat. Entrevues Le nom du commanditaire principal sera mentionné lors de chaque entrevue. Il est à noter que les journalistes ont le dernier mot sur l information véhiculée et que nous ne pouvons garantir que le nom se retrouvera dans le produit final. Kiosque au Marché Le comité organisateur sera au Marché afin de faire la promotion de l événement. Les partenaires pourront donner du matériel qui fera partie du matériel promotionnel. Logo sur passeport Un passeport sera offert afin d encourager les jeunes à rencontrer chacun des cerfs-volistes internationaux. Le logo du commanditaire se retrouvera sur celui-ci. Logo sur billets Le logo du commanditaire se retrouvera sur le billet de l activité. Présence sur le site Les commanditaires pourront installer un kiosque de 10 x 10 pieds sur le site, afin de faire la promotion de ses services, distribuer des brochures ou items promotionnels. Exclusivité Le commanditaire sera le seul partenaire dans son domaine de travail. (ex: une seule institution financière, restaurant, service, etc.) Concours Les commanditaires ont le droit d organiser un concours qui doit être approuvé par le comité organisateur Partenaire actvité Le commanditaire devient le seul partenaire d une activité. Bannière sur le site Les commanditaires pourront installer une bannière sur le site. Site Web ICV Les logos des commanditaires seront présents sur la page d accueil du site Web de l ICV. Pub radio site Le commanditaire peut fournir une publicité audio à l ICV et celle-ci sera jouée périodiquement à travers le système de son sur le site.

7 Radio A radio advertising campaign will be produced for this project. The sponsor will be thanked at the end of each ad which mentions its partnership. Interviews The name of the Presenting Sponsor will be mentioned during each interview. Please note that the journalists have the final say on the information submitted for publication or broadcast and we cannot guarantee that the name will be included in the final product. Kiosk at Market The Organizing Committee will promote the event at the Market. Partners will be permitted to provide material as part of the overall promotional material. Logo on passport A passport will be available in order to encourage youth to meet each of the international kite fliers. The sponsor s logo will appear on the passport. Logo on tckets The sponsor s logo will be included on the activity s tickets. Presence on the site Sponsors will be permitted to install a kiosk measuring 10 x 10 feet on the site to promote their services, or distribute brochures or other promotional items. Exclusivity The sponsor will be the only partner in its industry, i.e. only one financial institution, restaurant, service, etc. Contest Sponsors have the right to organize a contest that must be approved by the Organizing Committee. Partner actvity Each sponsor will be the sole partner for one activity. Banner on site Sponsors will be permitted to install one banner on the site. DKI website Sponsors logos will be shown on the DKI website s homepage. Radio ad on site The sponsor may provide a radio ad to DKI. The ad will be played periodically through the site s sound system.

8 DieppeMAG Quatre fois par année, la Ville de Dieppe distribue gratuitement à ses résidents et commerçants, le DieppeMAG, son magazine municipal. Cet outil informe les résidents de Dieppe du fonctionnement, des activités et des projets d envergure de leur municipalité. Une publicité sera incluse dans l édition d été du DieppeMAG distribué à près de copies et disponible sur le Web. Menton lors des spectacles Le maître de cérémonie annoncera la liste des commanditaires lors de chacun des spectacles. Chandail des bénévoles Les logos se retrouveront sur les chandails des bénévoles qui parcourent le site pendant la durée du Festival. Logo dans brochure Les logos se retrouveront dans la brochure, les commanditaires Principal, Or et Argent auront leur logo, les commanditaires Bronze seront mentionnés à l écrit. Enseignes de remerciement (genre coroplaste ou foamcore) Une enseigne sera placée sur le site avec le logo de chacun des commanditaires. Seulement le nom des commanditaires bronze apparaîtra sur celle-ci. Billets pour actvités payantes Des billets seront remis gratuitement aux commanditaires. Spécificatons du contrat Des items peuvent être remplacés ou ajoutés à la discrétion du service des communications de la Ville de Dieppe. L agent communautaire s assurera de prévenir les commanditaires.

9 DieppeMAG The City of Dieppe publishes its municipal magazine, DieppeMAG, four times per year. The magazine is distributed free of charge to Dieppe residents and businesses. DieppeMAG informs Dieppe residents of the functioning, activities and major projects in the municipality. An ad will be included in the summer edition of DieppeMAG with a distribution of nearly 11,000 copies. The magazine is also available on our website. Menton during concerts The master of ceremonies will announce the list of sponsors during each concert. Volunteer shirts The logos will be included on the shirts of volunteers working on site during the Festival. Logo in brochure Logos will be included in the brochure. Presenting, Gold and Silver Sponsors will have their logo, while the Bronze Sponsor will be mentioned in writing. Thank-you sign (Coroplast or Foamcore) A sign containing each of the sponsors logos will be placed on site at each activity. Only the names of the Bronze Sponsors will appear. Tickets for paid events Free tickets will be provided to sponsors. Contract specificatons Items may be replaced or added at the discretion of the City of Dieppe s Communications Department. The Community Officer will ensure that sponsors are advised.
