Die USB 1000-Box kann als Schnittstellenwandler an die Kombischnittstelle seriell/parallel der Hürner-Schweißsysteme der Baureihen HST 300, CNC ECO und SPG angeschlossenen werden und dient der Datenübertragung zu Geräten über ein USB-Kabel. Außerdem lässt sich ein USB-Stick in die USB 1000 einstecken und so als Schweißprotokollzwischenspeicher verwenden. Das Gerät wurde vor der Auslieferung auf Funktion und Sicherheit geprüft. Seine optimale Leistung erzielen Sie, indem Sie den Anweisungen der vorliegenden Bedienungsanleitung Folge leisten. Vielen Dank. 2 Sicherheitshinweis Die rote LED der USB 1000 ist bei fehlerfreiem Betrieb entweder an (Datenübertragung läuft) oder aus (keine Datenübertragung). Blinkt sie, so ist es während der Datenübertragung zu einem Fehler gekommen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass nach einer fehlerhaften Übertragung die Protokolle im Schweißsystem nicht gelöscht werden. Sollten sie auf dem Zielgerät nicht wiederherstellbar sein, wären sie sonst unwiderruflich verloren. 3 Gerätebeschreibung Die USB 1000 besteht aus der eigentlichen Schnittstellenbox und einem Anschlusskabel, mit dem sie an die protokollfähigen Schweißsysteme der HST 300- und der CNC ECO- bzw. SPG-Baureihen angeschlossen wird. Das Anschlusskabel ist mit einem 25-poligem Sub-D-Stecker ausgeführt, welcher auf die Schnittstelle der HST300-Heizwendelschweißautomaten und CNC ECO-Stumpfschweißmaschinen bzw. SPG-Protokolliereinheiten für Stumpfschweißmaschinen passt. Für solche Geräte der HST300-Baureihe und die verwandten HNSC-Geräte, die über eine runde Übertragungsschnittstelle verfügen, ist ein Adapterkabel erhältlich. Dieses Adapterkabel ist mit einem runden 7-poligen Stecker, der in die Schnittstelle des Schweißgeräts zu stecken ist, und einer 25-poligen Sub-D-Buchse ausgeführt, auf die der Stecker des Anschlusskabels der USB 1000-Box zu stecken ist. Als weitere Besonderheit weist die Sub-D-Buchse des Adapterkabel einen Wählschalter auf, der auf den Heizwendelschweißgerätetyp zu stellen ist, von dem Protokolle ausgelesen werden sollen: HST300 oder HNSC. Die Box selbst ist mit zwei USB-Schnittstellenbuchsen ausgeführt. Die rechteckige, längliche Buchse kann USB-Stecker des Typs USB A aufnehmen, die sechseckige, fast quadratische Buchse Stecker des Typs USB B. Beide Buchsen dienen zum Anschluss von USB-Geräten. An der Typ A-Buchse können USB- Speichermedien, z.b. USB-Sticks, und USB-Drucker angeschlossen werden. Die Typ B-Buchse ermöglicht es, die USB 1000-Box direkt an einen PC anzuschließen. Dadurch können Schweißprotokolle direkt vom PC aus mit Hilfe der Schweißungsdatenbank-Software DataWork aus dem Schweißsystem ausgelesen und auf dem PC zur weiteren Bearbeitung abgespeichert werden. 6 H Ü R N E R S c h w e i ß t e c h n i k G m b H Mücke, Deutschland Neben den USB-Buchsen befinden sich auf der Schnittstellenbox zwei Leuchtdioden (LEDs), welche den Status des Gerätes wiedergeben. Die grüne LED zeigt an, ob die USB 1000-Box mit Strom versorgt wird. Hinweis Bei den Schweißgeräten der HST 300-Reihe besteht die Stromversorgung erst, nachdem die Datenübertragung am Gerät gestartet wurde. Die LED leuchtet also erst nach Starten der Übertragung. Bei Verbindung mit einem PC erfolgt die Stromversorgung über den PC, so dass die grüne LED leuchtet, sobald die USB 1000 mit einem PC verbunden wurde. Die rote LED dient der Status- und Fehleranzeige während der Datenübertragung. Während der Übertragung leuchtet die rote LED dauerhaft. Solange diese LED dauerhaft leuchtet, dürfen die Schnittstellenbox bzw. das angeschlossene USB-Gerät nicht ausgesteckt werden, da sonst die Daten unvollständig sind. Wichtig Sollte die LED während der Datenübertragung anfangen zu blinken, so ist ein Übertragungsfehler aufgetreten, d.h. die Protokolle wurden nicht korrekt auf dem USB-Speichermedium gespeichert bzw. zum Drucker gesendet. Sollte das Schweißsystem dennoch die Datenübertragung ordnungsgemäß abschließen und auf dem Display die Meldung Protokolle löschen? anzeigen, müssen Sie das Löschen durch Betätigung der STOP- (HST 300) bzw. ESC- (CNC ECO) Taste oder Ausschalten des Schweißsystems verhindern. Sollten die Daten auf dem USB-Speichermedium nicht lesbar sein und aus dem Schweißsystem gelöscht werden, sind sie unwiderruflich verloren. 4 Bedienung 4.1 Vorbereitung der Datenübertragung Um eine fehlerfreie Datenübertragung zu gewährleisten, ist das Schweißsystem vor dem Auslesen der Schweißprotokolle zu initialisieren. Dies geschieht durch Aus- und Wiedereinschalten. Schalten Sie das Schweißsystem, von dem die Protokolle ausgelesen werden sollen, ein bzw. falls es eingeschaltet ist, schalten Sie es aus und wieder ein. Stecken Sie das Anschlusskabel der USB 1000-Box auf das Schweißsystem auf. (Sollte Ihr Schweißsystem als Schnittstelle keine Sub-D-Buchse besitzen, benötigen Sie ein separates Adapterkabel; vgl. Abschn. 3.) Auf dem Display des Schweißsystems erscheint nun das Druckmenü (vgl. die Anleitung des Schweißsystems). Falls Ihr Schweißsystem die Auswahl zulässt, welche Protokolle zu drucken bzw. zu übertragen sind, wählen Sie die Protokolle aus, welche Sie drucken bzw. übertragen möchten, und bestätigen Sie Ihre Auswahl mit der START- (HST 300) bzw. ENTER- (CNC ECO) Taste am Schweißsystem (vgl. die Anleitung des Schweißsystems). Auf dem Display des Schweißsystems sollte nun die Meldung Drucker nicht bereit erscheinen. Die grüne LED bei Power (Stromversorgung) an der USB 1000 sollte nun leuchten. Die USB 1000 ist nun bereit und Sie können das gewünschte USB-Gerät einstecken. 4.2 Nutzung eine USB-Sticks als Schweißdatenzwischenspeicher Nach Vorbereitung der Datenübertragung wie unter 4.1 beschrieben führen Sie folgende Schritte durch. 6 DE Bedienungsanleitung USB 1000 Version Janvier 2008

7 H Ü R N E R S c h w e i ß t e c h n i k G m b H Mücke, Deutschland Stecken Sie den Hürner-USB-Stick in die rechteckige, längliche USB A- Buchse der USB 1000-Box. Die rote LED bei Active / Error (Aktiv / Fehler) beginnt, dauerhaft zu leuchten. Solange die rote LED leuchtet, dürfen weder der Stick noch die USB 1000 entfernt werden. Die Protokolle werden nun auf den USB-Stick kopiert. Im Display des Schweißsystems erscheint nach kurzer Zeit die Meldung Drucken beendet. Der Datenübertragungsvorgang ist jedoch erst dann beendet, wenn die rote Leuchte erlischt. Wenn die rote Leuchte erloschen ist und nicht zu blinken beginnt, ist der Speichervorgang abgeschlossen. Wichtig Wenn am Schweißsystem die Meldung Drucken beendet erscheint, sind die Schweißprotokolle alle gesendet, allerdings noch nicht alle auf dem USB-Stick abgespeichert. Warten Sie daher mit dem Trennen der Verbindung vom Schweißsystem zur USB 1000-Box unbedingt, bis die rote LED erloschen ist. Sonst droht Datenverlust. Ziehen Sie die USB 1000 vom Schweißsystem ab. Je nach dem verwendeten Schweißsystem erscheint nach Abschluss des Druckens ggf. die Meldung Protokolle löschen?. Wenn Sie die Protokolle im Speicher des Schweißsystems löschen möchten, dann bestätigen Sie dies durch Drücken der START- (HST 300) bzw. der ENTER- (CNC ECO) Taste. Wenn Sie die Protokolle nicht löschen möchten, reagieren Sie auf die Abfrage Protokolle löschen? mit der STOP- (HST 300) bzw. ESC- (CNC ECO) Taste (vgl. die Anleitung des Schweißsystems). 4.3 Ausdrucken der Protokolle mit einem USB-Drucker Nach Vorbereitung der Datenübertragung wie unter 4.1 beschrieben führen Sie folgende Schritte durch. Der verwendete Drucker muss kompatibel zu PCL (Printer Command Language) sein. Drucker mit USB-Anschlusskabel sind zumeist PCL-kompatibel (vgl. die Anleitung des verwendeten Druckers). Stecken Sie das USB-Kabel des Druckers in die rechteckige, längliche USB A-Buchse der USB 1000-Box ein. Der Druckvorgang beginnt automatisch, was durch das Dauerleuchten der roten LED bei Active / Error (Aktiv / Fehler) angezeigt wird. Sollte der Drucker kein Papier mehr haben oder sonst ein Problem auftreten, wird der Druckvorgang angehalten. Im Display des Schweißsystems erscheint dann die Meldung Drucker nicht bereit. Wenn der Drucker wieder bereit zum Drucken ist, wird der Druckvorgang automatisch fortgesetzt. Nachdem alle Protokolle an den Drucker gesendet wurden, erlischt die rote LED bei Active / Error (Aktiv / Fehler). Im Display des Schweißsystems erscheint die Meldung Drucken beendet. Entfernen Sie nun das USB-Kabel des Druckers aus der USB Ziehen Sie die USB 1000 vom Schweißsystem ab. Je nach dem verwendeten Schweißsystem erscheint nach Abschluss des Druckens ggf. die Meldung Protokolle löschen?. Wenn Sie die Protokolle im Speicher des Schweißsystems löschen möchten, dann bestätigen Sie dies durch Drücken der START- (HST 300) bzw. der ENTER- (CNC ECO) Taste. Wenn Sie die Protokolle nicht löschen möchten, reagieren Sie auf die Abfrage Protokolle löschen? mit der STOP- (HST 300) bzw. ESC- (CNC ECO) Taste (vgl. die Anleitung des Schweißsystems). 4.4 Import der Schweißprotokolle direkt in DataWork auf einem PC Nach Vorbereitung der Datenübertragung wie unter 4.1 beschrieben führen Sie folgende Schritte durch. Die verwendete Version der Schweißungsdatenbank- Software DataWork muss 2.50 oder höher sein. Version Januar 2008 Bedienungsanleitung USB 1000 DE 7

8 H Ü R N E R S c h w e i ß t e c h n i k G m b H Mücke, Deutschland Schließen den PC mit Hilfe eines USB-Kabels an die fast quadratische USB B-Buchse der USB 1000-Box an. Verbinden Sie, sofern noch nicht geschehen, das andere Ende des Kabels mit dem PC. Starten Sie, sofern noch nicht geschehen, die DataWork-Software. Klicken Sie in der Menü-Leiste von DataWork auf Transfer à Schweißgerät --> PC à USB-Port (vgl. die DataWork-Anleitung). Es öffnet sich ein neues Fenster und der Druckvorgang sollte nun automatisch starten. Die rote LED bei Active / Error (Aktiv / Fehler) beginnt, dauerhaft zu leuchten. Sollten Sie eine Fehlermeldung erhalten, überprüfen Sie bitte den Anschluss des Schweißgeräts und der USB 1000-Box. Ist die Datenübertragung beendet, erscheint eine OK -Taste auf dem PC-Bildschirm, und im Display des Schweißsystems wird die Meldung Drucken beendet angezeigt. Ziehen Sie die USB 1000 vom Schweißsystem ab. Je nach dem verwendeten Schweißsystem erscheint nach Abschluss des Druckens ggf. die Meldung Protokolle löschen?. Wenn Sie die Protokolle im Speicher des Schweißsystems löschen möchten, dann bestätigen Sie dies durch Drücken der START- (HST 300) bzw. der ENTER- (CNC ECO) Taste. Wenn Sie die Protokolle nicht löschen möchten, reagieren Sie auf die Abfrage Protokolle löschen? mit der STOP- (HST 300) bzw. ESC- (CNC ECO) Taste (vgl. die Anleitung des Schweißsystems). 4.5 Import der Schweißprotokolle von einem USB-Stick in DataWork auf einem PC Nachdem Sie die Schweißprotokolle, wie in Abschn. 4.2 beschrieben, auf den USB-Stick gespeichert haben, gehen Sie wie folgt vor. Vergleichen Sie auch die ausführlicheren Informationen in der Anleitung zu DataWork Version 2.50 und höher. Stecken Sie den USB-Stick, auf den die Schweißprotokolle gespeichert wurden, in den dafür vorgesehenen Port des Computers. Starten Sie, sofern noch nicht geschehen, die DataWork-Software und erstellen Sie eine neue Datenbank bzw. öffnen Sie diejenige, der die Schweißprotokolle hinzugefügt werden sollen. Klicken Sie in der Menü-Leiste von DataWork auf Transfer à Datenträger --> PC à USB-Stick (Protokolldatei (*.tdp)) (vgl. die DataWork- Anleitung). Es öffnet sich ein neues Fenster, in dem alle Schweißprotokolle angezeigt werden, die auf dem USB-Stick gespeichert sind. Wählen Sie diejenigen Protokolle aus, die Sie in die geöffnete DataWork- Datenbank importieren wollen. Zum Auswählen klicken Sie auf das Ankreuzkästchen bei dem Protokolldateinamen; es erscheint dadurch ein Häkchen. Ein erneuter Klick hebt die Auswahl wieder auf; das Häkchen verschwindet. Klicken Sie, wenn alle gewünschten Protokolldateien ausgewählt sind, auf die Schaltfläche Transfer. Nach Abschluss des Einlesens der Dateien erscheint eine entsprechende Meldung. In der Meldung bestätigen Sie durch Klick auf Ok. Ihnen steht jetzt noch die Möglichkeit offen, die auf dem USB-Stick gespeicherten Protokolle zu löschen (vgl. die DataWork-Anleitung). Wichtig Wenn Sie von DataWork aus die Protokolle auf dem USB-Stick löschen, gehen diese auf dem Stick unwiderruflich verloren. Nur wenn Sie sie noch nicht im Schweißsystem gelöscht haben, können Sie sie von dort erneut auf den USB-Stick speichern. Nach abgeschlossenem Import und ggf. Löschen der Protokolle auf dem USB-Stick schließen Sie das Fenster, das sich zum Import geöffnet hat, durch einen Klick auf die Schaltfläche Beenden. 8 DE Bedienungsanleitung USB 1000 Version Janvier 2008

Datenübertragungsvorgangs ein Fehler auftritt, beginnt die rote LED bei Active / Error (Aktiv / Fehler) LED zu blinken. In diesem Fall sollten Sie den Übertragungsvorgang abbrechen, das Schweißsystem aus- und wieder einschalten und den Vorgang wiederholen. Löschen Sie jedoch nicht die Protokolle, falls das Schweißsystem dies anbietet. 13 35325 Mücke, Germany 1 Introduction Dear Customer: Thank you very much for purchasing our product. We are confident that it will meet your expectations. The USB 1000 Box can be used as an interface converter plugged into the combined serial/parallel interface of Hürner welding systems of the series HST 300, CNC ECO, and SPG for data transfer to other units via a USB cable. It also allows plugging a USB stick into it, which can then double as a portable memory for storing welding reports. Before shipment, the box was checked for proper function and safety. You will get optimum performance out of it by following the instructions contained in this User s Manual. Thank you. 2 Safety Precaution While the USB 1000 is operating propely, its red LED is either constantly lit (data being transferred) or constantly off (no data transfer). If it flashes, an error occurred during data transfer. In case a faulty data transfer is indicated, make sure that the welding reports are not deleted from the welding system. In case it is impossible to use or restore the transferred reports on the destination unit, they would be irrevocably lost. 3 Understanding the Box The USB 1000 Box is comprised of the interface adapter box proper and a connection cable for plugging it into the HST 300 and CNC ECO or SPG series systems capable of welding report generation. The connection cable is fitted with a 25-pin sub-d connector that is compatible with both the HST 300 electrofusion systems and the CNC ECO butt-welding machines and SPG report generators for butt-welding machines. For those systems of the HST 300 series and the HNSC units, which are similar to them, that have a round interface port, an adapter cable is available. This adapter cable has a round 7-pin male connector for the interface of the welding unit and a 25-pin sub-d female connector for the connection cable shipped with the USB 1000 Box. This adapter cable is furthermore particular in that its sub-d female connector has a toggle switch used to select the type of electrofusion unit from which reports are transferred, either HST 300 or HNSC. The interface box proper features two USB ports. The rectangular, oblong port can be used with a USB A connector, the hexagonal, almost square port is for a USB B connector. Both interface ports are used for the connection of a USB device. The type A port is used with USB mass storage devices, e.g., USB sticks, and USB printers. The type B port allows a direct link from the USB 1000 to a PC. This is a gateway to download welding reports directly from the welding system into the welding database software DataWork on the PC for further processing. 14 35325 Mücke, Germany Besides the USB ports, the interface converter features two light-emitting diodes (LEDs) indicating the operational status of the unit. The green LED indicates if the USB 1000 Box is connected to power. Info When connected to a HST 300 line welding unit, the box is under power only after data transfer was started at the welding unit. Therefore, the LED lights up after the start of the data transfer. When connected to a PC, the PC supplies power to the box immediately. Therefore, the green LED lights up as soon as the USB 1000 is connected to the PC. The red LED indicates the status and potential errors during data transfer. While data are being transferred, the red LED is continuously lit. While the red LED is lit, the USB 1000 Box and the destination device must not be disconnected from each other as this would result in incomplete or corrupted data. Important If the red LED starts flashing in the course of data transfer, a transfer error occurred, which means that the welding reports could not be properly saved to the USB storage device or printed off the USB printer. If, despite the error condition, the welding system finishes the data transfer and displays the confirmation message Delete Protocols?, then it is highly recommended that you cancel the deletion of the reporting protocols by pressing the STOP (HST 300) or ESC (CNC ECO) key or switching the welding system off. This is a precautionary step because the reports would be irrevocably lost if they were deleted from the welding system and unreadable on the destination device. 4 Operation 4.1 Preparing Data Transfer Correct data transfer can be guaranteed only when the welding system is initialized prior to downloading the welding reports. To initialize it, switch it off and on again. Switch on the welding system from which the reports should be downloaded. If it is on, switch it off and on again. Plug the connection cable of the USB 1000 Box into the welding system. (If the interface of your welding system is no sub-d 25 connector, you will need an additional adapter cable; see section 3.) Plugging the cable in causes the welding system to display the print menu on the screen (see the manual of the welding system). If your welding system allows you to select the reporting protocols you want to transfer or print, select the reports you want transferred or printed and confirm your selection by pressing the START (HST 300) or ENTER (CNC ECO) key on the welding system (see the manual of the welding system). The welding system should now display the Printer not ready error message. The green LED labelled Power (for power supply) of the USB 1000 should be lit. The USB 1000 is now ready for data transfer; please connect the desired destination device. 4.2 Using a USB Stick as a Portable Welding Report Memory After preparing the data transfer per section 4.1, perform the following steps. 6 EN USB 1000 User s Manual Version January 2008

15 35325 Mücke, Germany Insert Hürner s USB stick into the rectangular, oblong type A USB port of the USB 1000 Box. The red LED at Active / Error lights up and remains constantly lit. As long as the red LED is lit, neither stick nor the USB 1000 Box must not be disconnected from the welding unit. The reporting protocols are saved onto the stick. After a short time, the display of the welding system shows the message Printing finished. However, the process of saving the data is finished only when the red LED goes off. When the red LED is off and does not start flashing, the data are properly saved to the stick. Important When the welding system displays Printing finished this means that all reports have been sent, it does not mean that they have been completely saved to the USB stick. In any case, wait for the red LED to go off before disconnecting the USB box and stick from the welding system. Disconnect the USB 1000 from the welding system. Depending on the welding system you use, it may display the Delete protocols? confirmation message after the cable was disconnected. If you want to delete the reporting protocols from the memory of the system, confirm by pressing the START (HST 300) or the ENTER (CNC ECO) key. If you do not want to delete the reports in memory, react to the confirmation message by pressing the STOP (HST 300) or ESC (CNC ECO) key (see the manual of the welding system). 4.3 Printing the Welding Reports off a USB Printer After preparing the data transfer per section 4.1, perform the following steps. The printer you use has to support PCL (Printer Command Language). Many of the printers that ship with a USB connection are PCLcompatible (see the manual of your printer). Insert the USB cable of the printer into the rectangular, oblong type A USB port of the USB 1000 Box. Printing starts automatically and an active printing process is indicated by the red LED at Active / Error that is continuously lit. If the printer runs out of paper or encounters any other problem, printing is suspended. In this case, the display of the welding system shows a Printer not ready message. When the printer is ready again to go on printing, the printing process resumes automatically. When all reporting protocols were sent to the printer, the red LED at Active / Error goes off. The screen of the welding system displays Printing finished. At this point, disconnect the printer cable from the USB 1000 Box. Disconnect the USB 1000 from the welding system. Depending on the welding system you use, it may display the Delete protocols? confirmation message after the cable was disconnected. If you want to delete the reporting protocols from the memory of the system, confirm by pressing the START (HST 300) or the ENTER (CNC ECO) key. 16 35325 Mücke, Germany Using a USB cable, connect the PC to the almost square type B USB port of the USB 1000 Box. If it is not plugged into the PC, connect the other end of the cable to the PC. If it is not open yet, start the DataWork database management software. From the DataWork menu bar, access the option Transfer à Welding System --> PC à USB Port (see the DataWork manual). A new window opens and printing should start automatically. The red LED at Active / Error lights up and remains lit continuouly. If an error message is displayed, please check the connections at both the welding system and the USB 1000 Box. When the data transfer is fully completed, the PC screen shows an OK button, and the screen of the welding system displays Printing finished. Disconnect the USB 1000 from the welding system. Depending on the welding system you use, it may display the Delete protocols? confirmation message after the cable was disconnected. If you want to delete the reporting protocols from the memory of the system, confirm by pressing the START (HST 300) or the ENTER (CNC ECO) key. If you do not want to delete the reports in memory, react to the confirmation message by pressing the STOP (HST 300) or ESC (CNC ECO) key (see the manual of the welding system). 4.5 Downloading Welding Reports from a USB Stick into DataWork on a PC After saving the welding reports to a USB stick as described in section 4.2, perform the following steps. Please read also the more detailed information provided in the manual for DataWork, version 2.50 and higher. Insert the USB stick to which the reports were saved into the proper port of the PC. If it is not open yet, start the DataWork management software and create a new database or open the one to which the welding reports should be appended. From the DataWork menu bar, access the option Transfer à Data Storage Unit --> PC à USB Stick (Report File (*.tdp)) (see the DataWork manual). A new window opens and lists all welding reports that were saved to the USB stick. Select the reports you want to import into the currently open Data- Work welding database. To select a report file, click on the checkbox next to the file name; the checkbox then appears ticked. Another click on the box will deselect the selected file; the tick disappears. When all report files you wish to import are selected, click on the Transfer button. When downloading the report files is finished an information message is shown to tell you so. Confirm this message by clicking its Ok button. Finally, you may wish to delete on the stick the report files that were just imported from it (for more details, see the DataWork manual). Wichtig Using the DataWork user interface to delete the files on the stick means that they will be irrevocably lost. Your only possibility to restore them on the stick would be to save them once more to the USB stick from the welding system, provided you did not delete them from the welding system memory after transfer. 17 35325 Mücke, Germany 5 Handling Errors During Data Transfer Whenever the box encounters a problem or an error during data transfer or printing, the red LED at Active / Error starts flashing. In such a case, aborting the transfer process is recommended. Then switch the welding system off and on again and repeat the process. However, do not delete the welding reports if despite the error condition the system asks you if you want to. La cassette USB 1000 peut servir d adaptateur d interface à brancher sur l interface combinée série/parallèle des systèmes de soudage Hürner des séries HST 300, CNC ECO et SPG pour transférer des données à une autre unité par l intermédiaire d un câble USB. En plus, une clé USB peut être mise dans la cassette afin de l utiliser comme unité de mémoire externe pour les rapports de soudage. Avant sa livraison, le bon fonctionnement et la sécurité de l appareil ont été vérifiés. Vous vous en servirez de manière optimale en suivant les consignes données dans le présent Manuel de l utilisateur. Merci beaucoup! 2 Consigne de sécurité Lors du fonctionnement normal de l USB 1000, son témoin rouge soit est allumé (transfert de données en cours), soit est éteint (pas de transfert de données). S il clignote, une erreur s est produite au cours du transfert. S il signale que le transfert n a pas réussi, s assurer que les rapports de soudage ne sont pas supprimés du système de soudage. Au cas où il serait impossible d utiliser ou de restaurer les rapports transférés sur le système de destination, ils seraient perdus irrémédiablement. 3 Description de l'appareil La cassette USB 1000 se compose de la boîte adaptatrice à proprement dire et d un câble de raccordement destiné à la brancher sur les systèmes capables de créer de rapports des séries HST 300 et CNC ECO ou SPG. Le câble de raccordement présente un connecteur mâle 25 broches du type sub-d qui se branche sur l interface combinée des postes d électrosoudage HST 300 et des machines bout-à-bout CNC ECO ou unités de création de rapports SPG pour machines bout-à-bout. Pour ceux des postes HST 300, et les HNSC semblables, qui ont une prise d interface ronde, un câble adaptateur vous est proposé. Ce câble adaptateur présente un connecteur mâle 7 broches à mettre dans la prise du système de soudage et un connecteur femelle sub-d 25 broches dans lequel mettre le connecteur mâle du câble de raccordement de l USB En plus, sur la prise sub-d 25 du câble adaptateur, il existe un commutateur à l aide duquel il faut sélectionner le type de poste d électrosoudage, HST 300 ou HNSC, depuis lequel des rapports doivent être transférés. La boîte adaptatrice d interface à proprement dire dispose de deux prises USB. La prise oblongue rectangulaire peut accueillir des fiches USB du type A, la prise hexagonale, presque carrée, des fiches USB du type B. Le raccordement des appareils USB peut se faire sur les deux. À la prise du type A, il est possible de raccorder des mémoires USB, par exemple une clé USB, et des imprimantes USB. Celle du type B permet de raccorder un câble entre l USB 1000 et un PC pour acquérir les rapports de soudage directement depuis le système de soudage à l aide du logiciel de gestion de données DataWork, afin de les enregistrer et traiter ensuite sur le PC. 22 35325 Mücke, Allemagne En plus des prises d interface USB, la boîte adaptatrice comporte deux témoins (diodes lumineuses) signalant l état de fonctionnement de l unité. Le témoin vert signale que l USB 1000 est reliée à une alimentation électrique. Info Si elle est reliée à un poste de la gamme HST 300, la boîte n est sous tension qu après que le transfert des données a été lancé au poste de soudage. Le témoin vert ne s allume ainsi que lorsque le transfert des données commence. Si elle est reliée à un PC, ce dernier lui fournit une alimentation électrique dès que l USB 1000 est branchée sur lui et le témoin vert s allume ainsi tout de suite. Le témoin rouge sert à renseigner de l état de fonctionnement au cours de la transmission de données. Pendant que des données se transfèrent, le témoin rouge est allumé. Tant que ce témoin est allumé, il ne faut pas que la connexion entre la boîte adaptatrice d interface et l appareil USB de destination soit coupée, car on courrait ainsi le risque que les données restent incomplètes. Important Au cas où le témoin commence à clignoter pendant le transfert des données, une erreur de transmission est survenue, ce qui signifie que les rapports n ont pas pu être sauvegardés ou imprimés correctement sur l appareil de destination. Si, malgré l erreur qui est signalée, le système de soudage achève le transfert des données et vous demande «Supprimer rapports?», il est vivement conseillé d annuler la suppression des rapports en appuyant sur la touche STOP (HST 300) ou ESC (CNC ECO) ou en éteignant le système de soudage. Car s il était impossible de lire les données sur le support USB et qu ils soient supprimés sur le système de soudage, ils seraient perdus irrémédiablement. 4 Fonctionnement 4.1 Préparation du transfert des données Une transmission de données sans problèmes ne peut être assurée qu à condition que le système de soudage ait été initialisé avant le transfert des données. Pour l initialiser, l éteindre et le rallumer. Allumer le système de soudage depuis lequel vous souhaitez transférer des données. S il est allumé, l éteindre et le rallumer. Relier le câble de raccordement de la cassette USB 1000 à la prise du système de soudage. (Si votre système de soudage ne dispose pas d une prise du type sub-d 25, il vous faut un câble adaptateur spécial ; voir la section 3.) Sous l effet du raccordement du câble, l écran du système de soudage affiche le menu d impression (voir le manuel du système de soudage). Si votre système de soudage vous propose la sélection de certains rapports à imprimer ou à transférer, sélectionner ceux qui doivent l être et valider votre choix en appuyant sur la touche START (HST 300) ou ENTER (CNC ECO) du système de soudage (voir le manuel de ce dernier). L écran du système de soudage devrait afficher le message «Imprimante pas prête». Le témoin vert appelé «Power» (Alimentation électrique) de l USB 1000 devrait être allumé. L USB 1000 est ainsi prête au transfert des données et vous pouvez y relier l appareil de destination. 4.2 Utilisation d'une clé USB comme mémoire de rapports externe Après avoir préparé le transfert des données comme l explique la section 4.1, réaliser les étapes suivantes. 6 FR Manuel de l utilisateur USB 1000 Version Janvier

23 35325 Mücke, Allemagne Mettre la clé USB dans la prise oblongue rectangulaire du type USB A de la cassette USB Le témoin rouge à «Active / Error» (Actif / Erreur) s allume et reste allumé. Tant que ce témoin est allumé, il ne faut débrancher ni la clé ni la boîte adaptatrice. Les rapports de soudage sont ainsi copié sur la clé USB. Un peu plus tard, l écran du système de soudage affiche les message «Impression terminée». Cependant, le processus de transmission n est achevé que lorsque le témoin rouge s éteint. La sauvegarde des rapports est complète lorsque le témoin rouge s éteint sans commencer à clignoter. Important Lorsque le système de soudage affiche le message «Impression terminée», tous les rapports ont été envoyé, mais ils n ont pas encore tous été sauvegardés sur la clé USB. Attendre donc systématiquement que le témoin s éteigne avant de couper la connexion entre le système de soudage et l USB 1000, afin que vous ne vous exposiez pas à la perte de données. Débrancher l USB 1000 du système de soudage. En fonction du système de soudage utilisé, il est possible que ce dernier affiche le message «Supprimer rapports?». Si vous souhaitez effacer les rapports de soudage de la mémoire du système, valider ce message en appuyant sur la touche START (HST 300) ou ENTER (CNC ECO). Si vous souhaitez garder les rapports, réagir à ce message de confirmation en appuyant sur la touche STOP (HST 300) ou ESC (CNC ECO) (voir le manuel du système de soudage). 4.3 Impression des rapports par une imprimante USB Après avoir préparé le transfert des données comme l explique la section 4.1, réaliser les étapes suivantes. L imprimimante utilisée doit être capable de traiter les commandes en PCL (Printer Command Language). De nombreuses imprimantes USB sont compatibles (voir le manuel de votre imprimante). Brancher le câble USB de l imprimante sur la prise oblongue rectangulaire du type USB A de la cassette USB L impression démarre automatiquement, ce qui se remarque par le témoin rouge à «Active / Error» (Actif / Erreur) qui s allume et reste allumé. Si l imprimante ne peut continuer pour cause de bac à papier vide ou tout autre problème, l impression s interrompt. L écran du système de soudage affiche le message d erreur «Imprimante pas prête». Lorsque, le problème résolu, l imprimante est de nouveau prête, l impression continue automatiquement. Lorsque tous les rapports de soudage ont été envoyés et sortis par l imprimante, le témoin rouge à «Active / Error» (Actif / Erreur) s éteint. L écran du système de soudage affiche «Impression terminée». Débrancher le câble d imprimante de la cassette USB Débrancher l USB 1000 du système de soudage. En fonction du système de soudage utilisé, il est possible que ce dernier affiche le message «Supprimer rapports?». Si vous souhaitez effacer les rapports de soudage de la mémoire du système, valider ce message en appuyant sur la touche START (HST 300) ou ENTER (CNC ECO). Si ce n est pas encore le cas, démarrer le logiciel DataWork. Depuis la barre de menus de DataWork, accéder à Transfert à Système de soudage --> PC à Port USB (voir le manuel de DataWork). Une autre fenêtre s ouvre et l impression devrait se déclencher automatiquement. Le témoin rouge à «Active / Error» (Actif / Erreur) s allume et reste allumé. Si un message d erreur s affiche, veuillez contrôler les connexions au système de soudage et à la cassette USB Lorsque le transfert des données s est achevé, un bouton «Ok» apparaît à l écran du PC et le système de soudage affiche le message «Impression terminée». Débrancher l USB 1000 du système de soudage. En fonction du système de soudage utilisé, il est possible que ce dernier affiche le message «Supprimer rapports?». Si vous souhaitez effacer les rapports de soudage de la mémoire du système, valider ce message en appuyant sur la touche START (HST 300) ou ENTER (CNC ECO). Si vous souhaitez garder les rapports, réagir à ce message de confirmation en appuyant sur la touche STOP (HST 300) ou ESC (CNC ECO) (voir le manuel du système de soudage). 4.5 Importation sur un PC des rapports de soudage en provenance d'une clé USB Après avoir enregistré les rapports de soudage sur une clé USB comme l explique la section 4.2, réaliser les étapes ci-dessous. Vous trouverez des informations plus approfondies dans le manuel de l utlisateur de DataWork, version 2.50 ou supérieure. Insérer la clé USB sur laquelle les rapports sont enregistrés dans la prise du PC qui convient. Si ce n est pas encore le cas, démarrer le logiciel de gestion de base de données DataWork et créer une nouvelle base ou ouvrir celle à laquelle les rapports importés doivent être rajoutés. Depuis la barre de menus de DataWork, accéder à Transfert à Mémoire externe --> PC à Clé USB (Fichier de rapport (*.tdp)) (pour en savoir plus, consulter le manuel de DataWork). Une nouvelle fenêtre s ouvre et affiche une liste de tous les rapports de soudage enregistrés sur la clé USB. Sélectionner les fichiers de rapport que vous souhaitez importer dans la base de données DataWork actuelle. Pour sélectionner un fichier, cliquer sur la case à côté de son nom qui sera cochée par cette opération. Un second clic annule cette sélection et la case retourne à l état non coché. Une fois que tous les fichiers de rapport prévus à l importation sont sélectionnés, cliquer sur le bouton «Transfert». Lorsque l acquisition des fichiers est achevée, un message d information s affiche pour vous en renseigner. Vous avez encore la possibilité de supprimer les fichiers de rapport enregistrés sur la clé USB (voir le manuel de DataWork). Wichtig La suppression des fichiers de rapport sur la clé USB à partir de DataWork est irréversible. La seule possibilité de restaurer les rapports sur la clé est de les y enregistrer de nouveau à partir du système de soudage, pourvu qu ils n y aient pas été supprimés après le transfert. Lorsque l importation des fichiers est achevée et que, éventuellement, vous les avez supprimés sur la clé, fermer la fenêtre qui s est ouverte pour permettre l importation, par un clic sur son bouton «Terminer». 8 FR Manuel de l utilisateur USB 1000 Version Janvier

25 35325 Mücke, Allemagne 5 Erreurs de transmission de données Lorsqu un problème ou une erreur se produit pendant le transfert des données, le témoin rouge à «Active / Error» (Actif / Erreur) commence à clignoter. Si c est le cas, il est conseillé d abandonner la transmission, d éteindre et de rallumer le système de soudage et de répéter l opération. Cependant, ne supprimez surtout pas les rapports si le système de soudage vous propose de le faire malgré l erreur qu il vient de signaler.
