PPLICBILITE : La présente consigne navigabilité (CN) s'applique à tous les turbomoteurs MKIL 12 installés sur hélicoptères SUPER PUM MRK II. 2. RISONS : Une loi recueil à 65 % NG (Régime générateur gaz) a été introduite dans le système contrôle s moteurs MKIL 12 pour limiter l accélération la turbine libre en cas rupture du couple Moteur/Boîte transmission principale. Des essais réalisés au banc d essais moteur ont révélé un scénario possible d enchaînement d évènements pouvant conduire à l activation d une autre loi recueil à 85 % NG. Dans ce scénario, la protection survitesse n'est plus assurée par le passage en recueil 65 % NG : en cas rupture du couple Moteur/Boîte transmission principale, la turbine libre peut alors accélérer jusqu à son éclatement. La modification TU 244C du logiciel contrôle système permet maintenir la fonction protection survitesse y compris dans un tel scénario d évènements. Cette CN impose la nouvelle version du logiciel introduite par la modification TU 244C pour rétablir un niveau acceptable protection survitesse. Les modalités mise en œuvre tiennent compte s impératifs compatibilité s 2 moteurs installés sur un même hélicoptère. 3. CTIONS IMPERTIVES ET DELI D PPLICTION : L action suivante est rendue impérative à compter la date d entrée en vigueur cette CN : 3.1. ction impérative n/bb u plus tard le 30 novembre 2008, remplacer le calculateur numérique conformément au Service Bulletin Impératif n en respectant la contrainte spécifiée au paragraphe

EFFECTIVITY: This irworthiness Directive (D) applies to all MKIL 12 turboshaft engines installed on SUPER PUM MRK II helicopters. 2. RESONS: backup law at 65% of NG (gas generator speed) has been add to the control system of MKIL 12 engines in orr to limit the acceleration of the free turbine in the event of a rupture of transmission between the engine and the main gearbox. Tests performed on the engine test bench have revealed a possible occurrence scenario that can lead to the activation of another backup law at 85% of NG. In this scenario, there is no longer an overspeed protection by going into backup at 65% of NG: therefore, in the event of a rupture of transmission between the engine and the main gearbox, the free turbine can accelerate until it bursts. Incorporation of modification TU 244C on the control system software enables the overspeed protection function to be maintained, including in the occurrence scenario scribed above. This D imposes the use of the new version of the software, as introduced by modification TU 244C, to re-establish an acceptable level of overspeed protection. The terms and conditions for the implementation of this modification take into account the requirements regarding the compatibility of the 2 engines installed on the same helicopter. 3.
