2 Introduction L'appareil que vous venez d'acquérir est un chaser 5 A sur lequel vous pouvez régler la vitesse, il peut aussi fonctionner en mode audio. Instructions de sécurité Lire attentivement les consignes ci-après. Elles contiennent des informations importantes sur la sécurité de l'installation ainsi que sur l'utilisation et la maintenance de l'équipement. 1/ Conservez le présent manuel avec l'équipement pour référence ultérieure. En cas de vente de l'équipement à un autre utilisateur, il est important que le présent manuel soit joint à l'équipement afin que le nouvel utilisateur dispose des informations nécessaires à son utilisation et puisse prendre connaissance des mises en gardes relatives à la sécurité. 2/ Avant le démarrage initial, déballez et vérifiez soigneusement tous les éléments pour s'assurer qu'ils n'ont subi aucune détérioration pendant le transport. 3/ Afin d éviter tout risque de choc électrique, ne pas exposer cet appareil à la pluie et à l humidité. 4/ N utiliser que l alimentation secteur fournie. 5/ Conserver le carton d emballage d origine au cas où vous aviez à retourner l appareil pour maintenance. 6/ Ne pas verser ou renverser de liquides sur l appareil. 7/ S assurer que l alimentation est compatible à la tension locale. 8/ Ne pas utiliser l appareil si le cordon d alimentation est endommagé ou cassé. 9/ Ne jamais retirer la terre de la prise électrique. Elle sert à réduire le risque de choc électrique et d incendie en cas de court circuit. 10/ Toujours débrancher l appareil avant toute connexion. 11/ Ne jamais ouvrir l appareil soi-même, il n y a pas de pièces détachées à l intérieur. 12/ Toujours débrancher l appareil lorsqu il n est pas utilisé pendant de longues périodes. 13/ Cet appareil n est pas destiné à une utilisation domestique. 14/ Cet appareil doit être utilisé par des adultes uniquement, ne jamais autoriser les enfants à jouer avec. 15/ Ne jamais utiliser l appareil dans les conditions suivantes : - humidité excessive - vibration excessive - endroit où la température est supérieure à 45 C ou inférieure à 2 C. 2

C est pourquoi la connexion à une source audio extérieure n est pas nécessaire. Alimentation électrique La prise se présente comme suit : (E) : Terre : fil vert / jaune (N) : Neutre : fil bleu (L) : Phase : fil marron Cet appareil doit être relié impérativement à la terre afin d'éviter tout choc électrique et risque d'incendie. Sorties Les sorties se font par les 4 prises VDE. Connectez la charge par la prise de sortie. La charge maximum par canal est de 300W (charge résistive) ou de 150W (charge inductive). A noter : la charge maximum de 5A ne doit pas être dépassée. Utilisation Après avoir connecté l appareil au secteur, il est prêt à fonctionner. Défilement LUMIERE En mode CHASE, tournez complètement le bouton rotatif sur la gauche ou n émettez pas d audio. Si vous tournez le bouton dans le sens des aiguilles d une montre, vous pouvez augmenter la vitesse de défilement. Défilement AUDIO En mode AUDIO, tournez le bouton rotatif dans le sens des aiguilles d une montre pour faire défiler la lumière en fonction du rythme de la musique. Il n y a pas besoin de connecter le CHASE 5 à une source audio extérieure puisqu il est équipé d un micro intégré. Affichage Les 4 LED indiquent l activité des canaux correspondants. Remplacer le fusible Lorsque le fusible doit être changé, remplacez-le par un de même type comme précisé dans les spécifications techniques. Avant de remplacer le fusible : 1. Ouvrir la carrosserie 2. Oter le fusible usagé du porte fusible 3. Installer le nouveau fusible dans le porte fusible 4. Refermer la carrosserie. 4

5 4 Nettoyage et entretien Nous vous conseillons de nettoyer l appareil régulièrement. Utiliser un linge sec et propre, mais jamais de solvants ni d alcool. ATTENTION : N utilisez pas et appareil dans un endroit humide. Ne réparer pas vous-même cet appareil. En cas d intervention sur cet appareil, veillez à e qu il soit débranché. En cas d anomalie, contactez un revendeur de la marque. Le câble d'alimentation doit au minimum être un câble 3 x 0,75 mm2 5

7 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the CHASE-5, 4 channel sound-chaser. To optimize the performance of this product, please read these operating instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the basic operations of this unit. Warning 1. To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture. 2. Often memory clearing may cause damage to the memory chip, be careful not to initialize your unit frequently to avoid this risk. 3. Only use the recommended AC/DC power adaptor. 4. Be sure to save the packing carton in case you may ever have to return the unit for service. 5. Do not spill other liquids or water in to or on to your amplifier. 6. Be sure that the local power outlet matches the required voltage for your fixture. 7. Do not attempt to operate this unit if the power cord has been frayed or broken. Please route your power cord out of the way of foot traffic. 8. Do not attempt to remove or break off the ground prong from the electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire in case of an internal short. 9. Disconnect from main power before making any type of connection. 10. Do not remove the top cover under any conditions. There are no user serviceable parts inside. 11. Disconnect the unit s main power when left unused for long periods of time. 12. This unit is not intended for home use. 13. Carefully inspect this unit for damage that may have incurred during shipping. 9 1. Mode Switch: This switch will change the operate mode between CHASE and AUDIO. 2. Blue LED Indicators: These LEDs will indicate their relevant channel activity. 3. Speed knob: This knob will adjust the speed from SLOW to FAST. 4. Power Output: Four channel output. 5. Power Fuse: T6.3A/250V. 6. Power Input: The main power input. 7. Power Switch: This switch controls the unit s main power. 3/ Connections SOUND INPUT The sound signal is picked up via the integrated condenser microphone. This is why not extra connection to the sound source is necessary. MAINS INPUT Plug the power-plug into your safety socket. The occupation of the power-cord (3x0.75mm 2 ) is as follows. Earth (E) = Green/Yellow cable Neutral (N) = Blue cable Live (L) = Brown cable The earth has to be connected! OUTPUTS Output is via four CEE-output-sockets on the rear panel. Connect your loads via the output-socket. The maximum load per channel is 300W (resistive) or 150W (inductive). Please note that the maximum current of 5 A must never be exceeded. OPERATION After you connected the device to the mains, the CHASE-5 is ready for use. LIGHT CHASE Turn the sound control completely to the left or do not play any music. If you turn the SPEED CONTROL clockwise, you can increase the chaser speed. SOUND CHASE Turn the sound control clockwise and the CHASE-5 will chase to the bass beat of the music. There is no need for a cable connection to the sound source as the CHASE-5 features a built-in condenser microphone. DISPLAY The four LEDs provide steady control over the outputs. REPLACING THE FUSE If the fine-wire fuse of the CHASE-5 fuses, do only replace the fuse by a fuse of same type and rating (according to the technical specifications). Before replacing the fuse, disconnect from mains. Procedure: Step 1: Open the housing. Step 2: Remove the defective fuse from the fuse holder. Step 3: Install the new fuse in the fuse holder. Step 4: Close the housing again. 9

10 4/ Cleaning and maintenance We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents! There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers. Should you need any spare parts, please use genuine parts. Should you have further questions, please contact your dealer. 10
