1 SECRET ACCORD GENERAL SUR LES TARIFS Ho - 2 DOUANIERS ET LE COMMERCE SSbS 1978 Original: anglais NEGOCIATIONS AU TITRE DE L'ARTICLE XXVIII;1 Liste XX - Etats-Unis La Mission permanente des Etats-Unis a fait parvenir au secrétariat la communication suivante, en date du 29 septembre Conformément aux dispositions du paragraphe premier de l'article XXVIII, aux procédures énoncées dans la note y relative et aux procédures prévues dans le document L/U651/Rev.l, les Etats-Unis désirent engager des négociations en vue du retrait de toutes les concessions concernant la vaisselle en matières céramiques (position ) reprises dans la Liste XX. Les compensations (rajustements compensateurs) envisagées pour ce retrait, sous la forme de concessions révisées sur la vaisselle en matières céramiques, seront communiquées prochainement aux parties contractantes avec lesquelles les concessions ont été négociées primitivement et aux parties contractantes ayant un intérêt comme principal fournisseur. L'annexe à la présente notification indique, pour chaque position, les concessions qui seront retirées, ainsi que, le cas échéant, les noms des parties contractantes avec lesquelles chaque concession a été primitivement négociée. Les statistiques commerciales, par pays d'origine pour les années 1975» 1976 et 1977,8eront fournies prochainement. Les Etats-Unis comptent qu'un accord sera conclu entre les parties contractantes principalement intéressées et que satisfaction sera donnée aux parties contractantes ayant un intérêt substantiel, dans le cadre des négociations commerciales multilatérales plutôt que lors de négociations séparées au titre de l'article XXVIII.
