1 French 4 Honors Le Travail d Été -Bienvenue à Français 4 Honors. Your summer assignment will help you to continue using your French so that you are ready to go when the school year begins. The more you practice, the easier the transition will be back into class. I encourage you to speak in French over the summer, even if just to yourself. Sing along with music. Watch movies in French and try to avoid the subtitles! The activities below are your assignments for the summer. -All assignments are listed on Edmodo along with the attachments or website links. 2 A. Listening/Viewing Practice Listening to and understanding native French speakers from all over the world is a difficult skill and one that needs to be practiced a lot! You will be responsible for 6 listening assignments over the summer. You will be assigned 6 audio/video activities during the summer. A summary in English and a list of 5 new vocabulary words will be handed in for each listening activity. There are 6 Quizlet codes posted on Edmodo. These words correspond to our themes for this year. 2. You are to study and learn the words. They will be tested during the semester. 3. Try to practice some everyday. D. Writing You will prepare 3 writing pieces during the summer. Each piece will be on a different topic and must have at least 40 words. The pieces will be due on August 31, DO NOT USE TRANSLATORS! Writing prompts: 1. First Topic: Describe yourself. What kind of a person are you? What do you like to do? What do you NOT like to do? What are your friends like? What is your family like? How do you spend your free time? Second Topic: Describe the best day of your life. What happened? Where were you?
