2 UN PETIT APERÇU DES CAMPS Cette année, le Centre d Entrepreneurship du Restigouche fut l'hôte de six Camps d Entrepreneurship dans la région du Restigouche. Trois camps se sont déroulés à Campbellton, dont un en anglais et deux en français. Les trois autres Camps d Entrepreneurship ont eu lieu à Dalhousie et Kedgwick en français, et Eel River Bar en anglais. Pendant l été 2016, 120 jeunes âgés entre 9 et 12 ans ont profité d une semaine remplie d aventures et d expériences entrepreneuriales. Ces camps furent non seulement amusants et éducatifs pour les jeunes, mais leur ont aussi démontré la réalité d un entrepreneur en ouvrant leur propre entreprise d un jour. Au travers des différentes activités et visites, des différents défis et lors de la vente, ces jeunes ont développé d importantes qualités, dont le leadership, le travail d équipe, la créativité, l organisation, la gestion et la responsabilisation. This summer, the Restigouche Entrepreneurship Center was able to host six Break into Business camps, their locations varying across the Restigouche Region. Three camps were held in Campbellton; one being offered in English, and two being offered in French. The three other Break into Business camps were held in Dalhousie and Kedgwick in French, and Eel River Bar in English. Summer 2016 saw that 120 youth between the ages of 9 and 12 enjoyed a week full of entrepreneurial adventures and experiences, learning new things every day. These camps not only provided fun and educational activities for the youth, but also gave them real world experience of being an entrepreneur through hands-on learning, as they were able to operate their very own business for a day. Through the multiple activities, field trips, challenges, and their sales at the markets, these youth developed important skills such as leadership, team work, creativity, organization, management, and responsibility. 3 Pendant la semaine, chaque Camp d Entrepreneurship a eu la chance de visiter une des nombreuses entreprises de la région. Cette visite leur a permis de mieux comprendre les réalités d être entrepreneur et de gérer une entreprise. Cette année, les participants ont visité 95 CKNB, Dairy Queen, Maison Stewart House, Sobeys, Scott s Inependent, et Groupe Savoie. During the week, each Break into Business camp was given the opportunity to visit one of the various businesses located in the region. This provided them with a realistic example of what it is actually like to be an entrepreneur and to run your own business. The participants visited 95 CKNB, Dairy Queen, Maison Stewart House, Sobeys, Scott s Independent, and Groupe Savoie.

4 En tant qu entrepreneur, il est important de comprendre la valeur de l argent et de bien savoir la gérer. C est pourquoi nous créons une simulation de prêt où un(e) représentant(e) de la Coopération Financière UNI vient rencontrer les jeunes. Chaque groupe doit expliquer leur entreprise et leurs finances avant de recevoir un prêt de 20$. Ce prêt est remis dans le but de mettre sur pied leur entreprise d un jour, mais aussi, afin de leur procurer une expérience essentielle à l entrepreneuriat. "Ryan is more interested in saving money." -Lynne, parent «La chose la plus intéressante en étant un entrepreneur est de bien servir les clients et de choisir la bonne chose pour vendre et se faire de l'argent.» -Gabrielle, participante An important part of being an entrepreneur is being able to understand the concept of money, and to have good money management skills. This is why our camp provides a loan simulation. At each camp, a representative from the UNI Financial Cooperation comes to meet with the youth. Each business group will get the chance to meet with this representative, discuss their business and financials, and then receive a loan of $20. This loan will not only assist them in starting up their business for the day, but also provide them with essential entrepreneurial experience.

5 Nos jeunes entrepreneurs ont adoré vendre leurs produits à la communauté. Ils étaient très excités d avoir leur entreprise d une journée et ils ont pu nous démontrer le travail qu ils ont fait tout au long de la semaine. Ils vont se souvenir de cette expérience et vont pouvoir utiliser ce qu ils ont appris dans le futur. Our young entrepreneurs enjoyed selling their products to others. They were very excited to have their own business and to see that the week's hard work had paid off. Surely they will remember this day for the rest of their lives, and they will benefit from this experience in their future. 6 JOUR DE LA VENTE SALE DAY Cette année, presque tous les groupes ont décidés de vendre de la nourriture ou des breuvages. Miam! Les autres groupes ont vendus des produits ou de l'artisanat faits à la main. This year, most groups had decided to do food or beverage related products. Yum! Other groups sold handmade products and crafts! Le jour de la vente est celui que la plupart des particpants préfèrent. Ils avaient très hâte à jeudi!! Sale Day was almost every participant s favourite day of the camp. They couldn t wait for it to be Thursday!!
