The Ego Games: the Avatars of Identity in Maria Cantacuzino-Enescu s Autobiographical Writing Elena-Claudia ANCA, 1 Decembrie 1918 University, Alba Iulia, Romania Maria Cantacuzino-Enescu ( ) was one of the greatest ladies of the early twentieth century in Romania, one of the most beautiful and influent women of the Romanian upper-class society. Born into an old noble family in Moldavia, she became princess by marriage. Her husband, Prince Mihai Cantacuzino was one of the richest men in Romania at that time. Maria Cantacuzino-Enescu, nicknamed Maruca, was also the author of over 400 pages of memoirs covering almost a century (second half of the nineteenth century - first half of the twentieth century). Written in French in the early 1950s and published in France in 1955, the memoirs were first published in Romania in 2000, under the title Shadows and Lights: Memoirs of a Moldavian Princess. The author provides a comprehensive autobiography, using fragments of her diary which she often quotes. Temporality is discontinuous; each memory represents an experience in itself. The memoirist shows talent in shaping the atmosphere and in drawing portraits, giving a unique style to her writing. The first part of the memoirs is a family chronicle, surrounded by a mythical atmosphere. Maruca creates a fictional biography, evoking family events dating from Stephen the Great era (in fact her ancestors are recorded in documents several centuries later). The birth place - Tescani estate becomes a central point in the autobiography. The author cuts significant moments that have marked her childhood: Christmas, visiting relatives, winters in Tescani, monasteries holidays. In addition to her family members (grandparents, parents, uncles, brothers), we encounter a series of portraits of servants who had an important role in Maruca s childhood: the nanny, the cook, the coachman, the Gypsies from the estate. The second part of the memoirs describes moments from her marriage experience. The wedding, celebrated with an unprecedented fast, stunned the young bride used to the cozy, intimate atmosphere of the Tescani estate. There are differences in status and mentality between the two families. The marriage will be soon affected by Michael extramarital affairs, leading to a definitive separation. The third part of the book is dedicated to the war experience. As a director of a hospital for the wounded, the princess has direct contact with the tragic war, witnessing scenes of nightmare: wounded men and horses, people dying of starvation and diseases. The tumultuous relationship between Maruca and the great composer George Enescu is a true romance, which occupies the fourth part of her memoirs. The self image changes during the evocation: the happy child becomes the innocent bride, the confident mother, than the betrayed wife and the passionate mistress. The memoirist uses sometimes the first person, some other times the second or the third person speaking about herself. The evocation of the past is composed by pieces of memories, each representing an experience, like an immense puzzle recreating a complex image of the self and of the witnessed world. 4 Les jeux du «Je» : Les avatars de l identité dans L écriture autobiographique de Marie Cantacuzène-Enesco Marie Cantacuzène-Enesco ( ) a été l une de grandes dames du début du XX e siècle en Roumanie, l une des femmes les plus belles et les plus influentes dans la haute société roumaine. Née dans une famille de l ancienne aristocratie moldave, elle est devenue princesse par le mariage avec le prince Michel Cantacuzène, l un des hommes les plus riches en Roumanie à ce moment-là. Marie Cantacuzène-Enesco, surnommée Marouka, a également été l auteure de plus de 400 pages de mémoires, rédigés en français au début des années 1950 et couvrant presqu un siècle (seconde moitié du XIX e siècle - première moitié du XX e siècle). Les mémoires ont été publiés en Roumanie en 2000, sous le titre Ombres et Lumières : Souvenirs d une Princesse Moldave. L auteure fournit une ample autobiographie, en utilisant des fragments de son journal qu elle cite souvent. La temporalité est discontinue ; chaque souvenir représente une expérience en soi. La mémorialiste donne la mesure de son talent à créer une atmosphère qui repose sur la description et l élaboration des portraits, ce qui confère un style unique à son écriture. La première partie des mémoires est une chronique familiale (en fait une biographie romancée), entourée de l atmosphère mythique du domaine Tescani. L auteure évoque les moments importants qui ont marqué son enfance (Noël, les visites des parents, les hivers à Tescani, les vacances aux monastères) et les portraits des membres de la famille, mais aussi ceux des serviteurs qui ont eu un rôle important dans son enfance : la nounou, le cuisinier, le cocher, les Tsiganes du domaine. La deuxième partie des mémoires décrit l expérience du mariage. Les noces extrêmement fastueuses ont stupéfait la jeune mariée, habituée à l atmosphère chaleureuse et intime de Tescani. Les différences de statut et de mentalité entre les deux familles et les relations extraconjugales de Michel, ont bientôt affecté le mariage, en conduisant à une séparation définitive. La troisième partie du livre est consacrée à l expérience de la guerre. En tant que directeur d un hôpital pour les blessés, la princesse a été en contact direct avec la guerre tragique, en assistant aux scènes de cauchemar : des hommes et des chevaux blessés, des gens qui mourraient affamés et malades. La relation tumultueuse entre Marie Cantacuzène-Enesco et le grand compositeur Georges Enesco est un vrai roman d amour, qui occupe la quatrième partie de ses mémoires. Le but de l article est de mettre en évidence les métamorphoses de l image de soi au cours de l évocation : l enfant heureux devient l épouse innocente, la mère confiante et enfin la femme trahie et la maîtresse passionnée. La mémorialiste utilise l alternance des voix narratives (une polyphonie narrative entre la première, la deuxième et la troisième personne), en créant l illusion de l altérité et de l objectivité. L évocation du passé est composée par des morceaux de souvenirs, chacun représentant une expérience, comme un immense puzzle à recréer une image complexe de l auteure et du monde dont elle a été le témoin. A Camera, a Radio and a Zipe Memory Device or How to Cheat Reality through Robin Williams Movies PhD candidate Simona ARDELEAN, Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania We build reality whilst transforming it through the means of memory. It s a common known thing. But what happens when we intervene upon memory in a brutal way, trying to change the past by projecting in it those things we would have liked to happen or when the world in which we live becomes one chance to overcome, through imagination, the closure of a world based on suicide and despair? Robin William knows how to choose the movies he acts in. Most of them are placed in a full of fantasy background and he acts in a talented way trying to convice us, somehow, that the price of watching those movie is the fact that our world would be changed forever. However, he does this in an allusive way. We chose for this study three movies that we find to be most relevant for the given theme: Jakob the Liar (1999), directed by Peter Kassovitz, the story of a Polish Jew living the times of the Second World War, who manages to save his community with the help of a nonexistent radio, One Hour Photo (2002), directed by Mark Romanek, a movie in which a character, named Sy Parrish is fantasizing about being the favourite Uncle Sy in a family he is obsessed with, and The Final Cut (2004), directed by Omar Naim. The latter is a modern vision of a future world in which the microchips perform the function of protecting the users by themselves and their bitter memories by erasing all the negative thoughts. So reality is dictated by an impossible ideal, but being unhappy proves to be something inherent in the humans case. Key words: film, Robin Williams, reflection, ideal, transformed reality, artificial, One Hour Photo, Jakob the Liar, The Final Cut Un aparat de fotografiat, un radio şi un dispozitiv de stergere a memoriei sau cum să înşeli realitatea în filmele lui Robin Williams Fabricăm realitatea pe măsură ce intervenim asupra ei cu ajutorul memoriei. E un lucru ştiut. Dar ce se întâmplă atunci când intervenim asupra ei brutal, împingând în trecut lucruri pe care ni le-am fi dorit întâmplate ori când lumea din jur devine proiecţie salvatoare ca singura şansă de a supravieţui unui lagăr concentraţionist? Robin Williams ştie să-şi aleagă filmele. Cele mai multe sunt plasate într-un decor fantezist şi el joacă cu deplină dăruire şi talent actoricesc ca şi cum misiunea sa ar fi să convingă publicul că statul în fotoliu comod, ca vizionarea are un preţ nebănuit: filmul său ii va reconfigura lumea. Am ales pentru studiul acesta trei dintre filmele care nouă ni se par cele mai relevante: Jakob Mincinosul (Jakob the Liar, 1999) în regia lui Peter Kassovitz, povestea unui evreu din Polonia ocupată în timpul celui de-al Doilea Razboi Mondial care readuce la viaţă o întreagă comunitate depresivă şi suicidală împraştiind zvonurile unui radio imaginar, Poza la minut (One Hour Photo, 2002) în regia lui Mark Romanek, în care personajul Sy Parrish se vizualizează în postura unchiului favorit al unei familii de care este obsedat şi The Final Cut (2004) în regia lui Omar Naim. Ultimul film e o versiune modernă a unei lumi viitoare în care microcipurile implantate au rolul de a proteja oamenii de amintirile dureroase, ştergându-le efectiv din 5

6 memoria acestora. Realitatea e dictată de un ideal intangibil, dar nefericirea pândeste sub toate aceste falduri prelucrate. Mathematically Supervised Illusions in Tudor Arghezi s Tablets from the Land of Kuty Alina BAKO, Lucian Blaga University, Sibiu, Romania The illusions that Tudor Arghezi creates or demonstrates are born within the text, one that changes permanently according to the momentary interest of the one reading and reconstructing what he/she has just read. From this point of view, Tablets from the Land of Kuty experiments with pamphlet, combining the social with the lack of rules, with satire. The text becomes the illusion of a ruled society that is devoid of principles. Tudor Arghezi, together with Jonathan Swift, P.L. Courrier, Leon Bloy, L.F. Celine, creates a space where the Americans Mnir, Kuic, Pitak discover in Kuty, an unmapped country, a primitive society. The attempt to civilize its inhabitants gives birth to a utopian parody. The absurd in the text is to be found in the characters as well, because the writer sets up the extravaganza of a superficial civilization. The social imaginary suggested by Arghezi in Tablets from the Land of Kuty is presented in theory by Cornélius Castoriadis. The latter has as a starting point the importance of one s capacity of invention, of one s creative force. The representations that the human being can create are occasioned both by the environment and by his/her capacity of creating images. The philosopher points out that that the human being is capable to represent things starting not only from existing things, but also from nothing at all ( partir de rien ). As a consequence, the human being possesses this capacity, which is restrained by the social factor. The theory proposed by Castoriadis considers the human being as a singular being, not as part of society: L homme est un animal inconsciemment philosophique, qui s est posé les questions de la philosophie longtemps avant que la philosophie n existe comme réflexion explicite et il est un animal poétique qui a fourni dans l imaginaire des réponses à ces questions 1. The poetic being has the capacity of creating its own images, figures, symbols that are updated every time we perceive the topic again. Man becomes a poetic animal that emphasizes the creative capacity of the human being. Set free from any constraint, the pamphlet offers its readers the monstrous and trivial element, requesting ex negativo the respect of vital structures. In the Land of Kuty the universe wavers between the impossible and the irregular. The automatisms invade everything. The city where the three arrive is weird; the inhabitants change everything at regular time intervals. The reporter, Mnir and Kuik are not amazed at what they see, but simply note the difference that they treat with tolerance, without being interested in gathering all buildings that are alike in one place, the churches next to the churches, the gardens next to the gardens. A bizarre extravagance that has its purpose: for example, the canals had to be removed from the ground so as not to bother it anymore and heaped as in the building site of a factory, according to their diameter and length, in the middle of a park with a lake, and the light bulbs had to be removed from town and buried beneath the lake, in order to lit it from beyond in different colors. The absurd situations define a space of constraints, in which the social element becomes a starting point for a possible construction of a negative utopia. 7 Les illusions mathématiquement surveillées dans Des tablettes du Pays de Kuty de Tudor Arghezi Les illusions que Tudor Arghezi crée ou démonte sont nées du tissu très dur du texte. De ce point de vue, Les tablettes du Pays de Kuty expérimente un style pamphlétaire où le social s entremêle à l absence du modèle, à la satyre. Le texte devient l illusion d une société sans des principes. Rapproché de Jonathan Swift, P.L. Courrier, Leon Bloy ou L.F. Céline, Tudor Arghezi fonde un un espace où les personnages Mnir, Kuic, Pitak découvrent en Kuty, un pays qui ne figure pas sur la carte, une société primitive. La tentative de civiliser ses habitants donne naissance à une parodie de projet utopique. L absurde du texte contamine les personnages, car l écrivain réalise la bouffonnerie d une civilisation superficielle. Les idées théoriques peuvent être mises en relation avec celles présentées par Cornelius Castoriadis et sa définition de l imaginaire qui est justifié de cette manière : «[ ] c est par la notion de l imaginaire radical que nous comprenons l autonomie de l individu et conséquemment sa capacité de changer la société». Par un passage de l individuel au social, l être humain se développe comme sujet autonome tout en contribuant à la transformation de la société. «L imaginaire individuel est cette partie des représentations mentales qui s élabore dans le temps par une manipulation intérieure consciente et/ou inconsciente de données mémorisées antérieurement, c est-à-dire des représentations mentales précédemment imaginées ou surtout induites d une part au travers de la perception de phénomènes et d autre part à partir d idées transmises par la communication interhumaine» L être poétique dispose de la capacité de créer ses propres images, figures, symboles qui s actualisent chaque fois quand on dispose d une nouvelle réception du sujet. L homme devient un homo poeticus qui profite de sa capacité créatrice. Libéré de toute contrainte, le pamphlet libère l élément monstrueux et trivial, en demandant ex negativo le respect des structures vitales. Dans le Pays de Kuty l univers pendule entre l impossible et l irrégulier. Les automatismes envahissent tout. La ville est étrange. Le reporter, Mnir et Kuik ne sont pas éblouis par ce qu ils découvrent, mais ils constatent avec détachement la différence qu ils acceptent avec bienveillance, sans curiosités : «ranger les édifices qui se ressemblent dans un même endroit, les églises avec les églises, les jardins avec les jardins. Une extravagance bizarre, qui se situe dans le domaine de l absurde pour définir un espace de contraintes où l élément social devient un point de départ. Il s agit, en effet, d une sorte d utopie négative qui détermine une réévaluation de l espace politique et social. Din acest punct de vedere, Tablete din Ţara de Kuty experimentează un stil pamfletar, în care socialul se împleteşte cu lipsa modelului, cu satira. Textul devine iluzia unei societăţii cu reguli, dar lipsite de principii. Tudor Arghezi, alături de Jonathan Swift, P.L. Courrier, Leon Bloy, L.F. Celine, creează un spaţiu în care americanii Mnir, Kuic, Pitak descoperă în Kuty, ţară neaflată pe hartă, o 7

8 societate primitivă. Încercarea de civilizare a locuitorilor ei dă naştere unei parodii de proiect utopic. Absurdul din text se revarsă asupra personajelor, căci scriitorul montează bufonada unei civilizaţii superficiale. Imaginarul social pe care Tudor Arghezi îl propune în Tablete din Ţara de Kuty este teoretizat de Cornélius Castoriadis. El porneşte de la ipoteza conform căreia importantă este capacitatea de invenţie a individului, forţa sa creatoare. Reprezentările de care este capabilă fiinţa umană sunt provocate atât de mediul înconjurător, cât şi de capacitatea sa de a construi imagini. Filozoful arată că individul este capabil să reprezinte plecând nu numai de la lucruri existente, dar şi din nimic ( partir de rien ). Deci, fiinţa umană posedă această capacitate, dar care e înăbuşită de factorul social. Teoria pe care o propune Castoriadis pleacă de la individ ca fiinţă singulară şi nu de la individ ca parte a societăţii: L homme est un animal inconsciemment philosophique, qui s est posé les questions de la philosophie longtemps avant que la philosophie n existe comme réflexion explicite et il est un animal poétique qui a fourni dans l imaginaire des réponses à ces questions 2. Fiinţa poetică dispune de capacitatea de a-şi creea propriile imagini, figuri, simboluri, care se actualizează de fiecare dată când dispunem de o nouă receptare a subiectului sau o reactualizare. Omul devine acum un animal poetic care pune în valoare capacitatea creatoare a fiinţei. Eliberat parcă de orice constrângere, pamfletul dă curs slobod elementului monstruos şi trivial, cerând ex negativo respectul structurilor vitale. În Tara de Kuty universul balansează între imposibil si iregular. Automatismele invadează totul. Oraţul în care ajung cei trei este ciudat, locuitorii schimbă totul la anumite perioade de timp. Reporterul, Mnir si Kuik nu se minunează de ceea ce descoperă, ci constată detaşat diferenţa pe care o tratează cu îngăduinţă, fără curiozităi: să strângă edificiile de acelaşi fel într-un singur loc, bisericile cu bisericile, grădinile cu grădinile. O extravaganţă bizară, dar cu scop : canalurile de pildă trebuiau scoase din pământ, ca sa nu-l mai incomodeze şi îngrămădite, ca în şantierul unei fabrici de tuburi de beton, la diametrul şi lungimile lor, în stive demonstrative în mijlocul unui parc cu lac, iar becurile aveau să fie scoase din oraş si îngropate în lac, ca să-l lumineze pe dedesubt în culori. Situaţiile absurde definesc un spaţiu al constrângerilor, în care elementul social devine punct de plecare pentru o posibilă construire a unei utopii negative. The City through the Eyes of a Fool - Mihaela BAL, 1 Decembrie 1918 University, Alba Iulia, Romania According to Dr. Constantin Enachescu`s work, The Psychology of Patoplastic Activity, there are people who are born with distorted sense of sight, so, for them the world proportions are different comparing to us, considered normal. These people are either geniuses or fools. I choose to talk about the latter, as geniuses is harder to be confirmed, instead of madness which is easier, that is about the world contemplated by fools. The history of madness overlaps the history of civilization, because each civilization comes with new manifestation of madness. It is a controversial concept, because we tack, on the one hand, about cultural madness, and about madness as mental illness, on the other hand. 9 produced as the effect of their presence in the world and, secondly, the objective conclusions of the empirical observations. Cultural madness. Registered in literature, madness becomes the theme of our days, namely alienation, and includes the overturning or the denial of life spiritual values, the moral and spiritual ones, embraces the idea of otherness of what is foreign or different, of what is not good in our being. There isn t mental illness but cultural disease, maintaining the illusion of a normal world. In his Phenomenology of Madness, Dr. Constantin Enachescu believes, because of the emotional impression produced by the madness that this particular one has become a cultural character. We should retain the character`s vision of this world. Philosophical madness. We cross from the sphere of culture through Morality into the sphere of Philosophy. What is common to all the philosophical studies about Madness, is the fact that they had tried to include Madness in the human field (Dr. Constantin Enachescu, Phenomenology of Madness, Bucharest, Paideia, 2004, p. 23). The morality sees manifestations of madness as vices, as forms of moral corruption. The madman is not created by God, he is part of Satan, through whom speaks the occult forces. Social madness. Since we have known the manifestation of madness as being divided into two different social systems, we will present them comparatively, in accordance to our paper structure. In the totalitarian system, madness is a way to tell the truth: the madman has no discernment, no think, so he is not subjected to any censorship and cannot be punished for what he says. Asylum is a place where people can express themselves freely, a creative home for talented writers. On the other hand, asylum is a comfortable refuge for those who do not want to go to jail, these ones being the key people of the communist regime, those who are guilty of abuses in important positions. Nobody heals here; on the contrary, their madness becomes more intense. Fear brings together victims and executioners, because they are not mad. Madness is a mimed state of mind in order not to be imprisoned. In a democratic-capitalist regime, the Madness is the manifestation of a society in crisis, where the fear is replaced with the obsession of grandeur. If in communism the madness is simulated, now it is real but hidden. Nobody wants to recognize this collective disease. The paper about the Myth of Madness is not theoretical. We presented the four aspects of the myth to reveal the way in which I turned my research. In fact, the paper wants to be a researched-based paper on social, cultural, economic and medical fields. Any big cities develop myths. Regarding my city, Bucharest, its strangeness consists in its two parts: the visible part and the hidden part, which, they say, can be known only by children and madmen. Key words: fool, foolishness, myth, architecture, city La ville vue par les yeux d un fou Selon l étude La psychologie de l activité pathoplastique de Constantin Enăchescu, il y a des gens qui naissent ayant le sens visuel déformé, de sorte qu ils perçoivent différemment les proportions du monde par rapport à nous, les gens dits normaux. Ces gens-là sont des génies ou des fous. J ai choisi de parler de ces derniers, puisque le génie est très difficile à confirmer et la folie est plus facile à reconnaître. J ai choisi donc de parler du monde contemplé par les fous. L histoire de la folie se superpose sur l histoire de la civilisation, car toute civilisation apporte de nouvelles manifestations de la folie. C est un aspect controversé car nous parlons, 9

10 d un côté, de la folie culturelle et de l autre côté de la folie en tant que maladie mentale. Les significations de la folie sont, en premier lieu, de répliques aux impressions émotionnellessubjectives que la folie produit en tant que présence dans le monde et, en deuxième lieu, les conclusions objectives des observations empiriques. La folie culturelle. Enregistrée dans la littérature, la folie devient le thème de nos jours, l aliénation, et comprend le renversement ou la négation des valeurs de la vie de l âme, morale et spirituelle, incluant en soi l idée de l altérite de tout ce qui est étranger ou différent, de ce qui n est pas bon dans notre être. Il ne s agit pas d une maladie mentale, mais d une maladie culturelle qui entretient l illusion de la normalité du monde. Dans l ouvrage La Phénoménologie de la folie, étant donnée l impression émotionnelle produite par la Folie, le dr. Constantin Enăchescu considère qu elle est devenue un «personnage culturel». On retient la vision du monde de ce «personnage». La folie philosophique. De la culture, on entre dans la zone de la philosophie, en passant par la Morale. Ce qui est commun aux études philosophiques sur la Folie est la tentative d inclure la Folie dans le domaine de l humain (Dr. Constantin Enăchescu, La phénoménologie de la folie, Bucarest, Maison d Edition Paideia, 2004, p. 33). La Morale considère les manifestations de la Folie comme des vices, comme les formes de la corruption morale. Le fou n est pas créé par Dieu, mais fait partie du diable, ce sont les pouvoirs occultes qui parlent à travers lui. La folie sociale. Comme j ai connu les manifestations de la folie dans deux systèmes différents, je vais les présenter par comparaison, celles-ci constituant, au fond, aussi la structure de notre texte. Dans un système totalitariste, la Folie est une manière de dire la vérité : le fou manque de discernement, donc de raison, par conséquent il n est pas soumis à la censure et ne peut pas être tenu pour responsable de ses dires. L asile devient le lieu où les gens peuvent s exprimer librement, une maison de création pour les écrivains de talent. D autre part, il est un refuge confortable pour ceux qui ne veulent pas entrer dans la prison, ceux-ci étant les gens-clé du système communiste, les coupables ayant abusé des fonctions importantes. Ici personne ne guérit, mais les gens viennent aiguiser leurs états. La peur ramasse ensemble les victimes et les bourreaux, car ils ne sont pas de fous. La folie est un état simulé au but de fuir la prison. Dans un système démocratique-capitaliste, la Folie est la manifestation plénière de la société en crise, où la peur est remplacée par la manie de la grandeur. Si, dans le communisme, la Folie est simulée, à présent elle est réelle, mais cachée. Personne ne veut reconnaître cette maladie collective. L ouvrage sur le mythe de la Folie n est pas théorique. J ai présenté les quatre paliers du mythe pour mettre en évidence les directions de ma recherche. En effet, ce travail se veut une démarche pratique au début, basée sur la recherche sociale, culturelle, économique et médicale. Toute grande ville développe des mythes. En ce qui concerne ma ville, Bucarest, son caractère étrange est donné par ses deux parties : la ville de surface et la ville qui se trouve au dessous de la ville, la partie cachée qui ne se laisse connaître, la partie visible uniquement pour les fous et les enfants. 11 Oraşul prin ochii nebunului După studiul dr. Constantin Enăchescu, Psihologia activităţii patoplastice, sunt oameni care se nasc cu simţul văzului deformat, astfel încât pentru ei proporţiile lumii sunt altele decât pentru noi, cei consideraţi normali. Aceşti oameni sunt fie genii, fie nebuni. Am ales să vorbesc despre cei din urmă, întrucât genialitatea este mai greu de confirmat, iar nebunia mai uşor de recunoscut, anume despre lumea contemplată de nebuni. Istoria nebuniei se suprapune peste istoria civilizaţiei, căci fiecare civilizaţie, vine cu noi manifestări ale nebuniei. Este un aspect controversat, pentru că vorbim, pe de o parte, de nebunie culturală şi, pe de altă parte, despre nebunie ca boală mintală. Semnificaţiile nebuniei sunt, în primul rând, replicile impresiilor emoţional-subiective, pe care aceasta le produce ca prezenţă în lume şi, în al doilea rând, concluziile obiective ale observaţiilor empirice. Nebunia culturală. Înregistrată în literatură, nebunia devine tema zilelor noastre, alienarea, şi cuprinde răsturnarea sau negarea valorilor vieţii sufleteşti, morale şi sprirituale, cuprinde în sine ideea de alteritate a ceea ce este străin sau diferit, a ceea ce nu este bun în fiinţa noastră. Nu mai este boală mintală ci boală culturală, întreţinând iluzia normalităţii lumii. În lucrarea Fenomenologia Nebuniei, dr. Constantin Enăchescu consideră, datorită impresiei emoţionale produse de Nebunie, că aceasta a devenit un personaj cultural. Se reţine viziunea despre lume a acestui personaj. Nebunia filozofică. Din sfera culturii, se trece în sfera filozofiei, prin Morală. Ceea ce este comun studiilor filozofice despre Nebunie este faptul de a se fi încercat includerea Nebuniei în sfera umanului (Dr. Constantin Enăchescu, Fenomenologia Nebuniei, Bucureşti, Editura Paideia, 2004, p. 33). Morala interpretează manifestările Nebuniei drept vicii, ca forme ale corupţiei morale. Nebunul nu este creat de Dumnezeu, este parte a Satanei, prin el vorbesc puterile oculte. Nebunia socială. Pentru că am cunoscut manifestările nebuniei în două sisteme sociale diferite, le voi prezenta în comparaţie, aceasta fiind, în fond, şi structura lucrării. În sistemul totalitarist, Nebunia este un mod de a spune adevărul: nebunul nu are discernământ, nu are judecată, aşadar nu este supus cenzurii şi nu poate fi pedepsit pentru ceea ce spune. Azilul devine locul unde oamenii se pot exprima nestingherit, o casă de creaţie pentru scriitorii talentaţi. Pe de altă parte, este un refugiu confortabil pentru cei ce nu vor să ajungă în închisori, aceştia fiind oamenii cheie ai sistemului comunist, cei care se fac vinovaţi de abuzuri în funcţii importante. Aici nu se vindecă nimeni, oamenii vin pentru a-şi acutiza stările. Frica îi adună laolaltă şi pe victime şi pe călăi, căci ei nu sunt nebuni. Nebunia este o stare mimată pentru a fugi de închisoare. Într-un sistem democratic-capitalist, Nebunia este manifestare plenară a societăţii în criză, unde frica este înlocuită cu mania grandorii. Dacă în comunism Nebunia este simulată, acum este reală dar ascunsă. Nimeni nu vrea să recunoască această maladie colectivă. Lucrarea despre mitul Nebuniei nu este teoretică. Am prezentat cele patru paliere ale mitului pentru a evidenţia în ce direcţii îmi voi îndrepta cercetarea. De fapt, aceasta se doreşte o lucrare practică, în faza de început, bazată pe cercetare socială, culturală, economică şi medicală. Orice oraş mare dezvoltă mituri. În ceea ce priveşte oraşul meu, Bucureşti, ciudăţenia lui constă în cele două părţi ale sale: oraşul de suprafaţă şi oraşul de sub oraş, partea ascunsă care se sustrage cunoaşterii şi pe care o văd numai nebunii şi copiii. L utopie classique, entre fantaisie créatrice et illusion Corin BRAGA, Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania À l Âge classique, le concept de fantaisie a été soumis à une critique politropique. Dans la philosophie néoplatonicienne de la Renaissance, l imagination avait une nature ontologique. Le phantastikon pneuma des hommes était consubstantiel à l Anima mundi universelle (l essence intermédiaire entre les idées divines et la nature matérielle). L activité des magiciens présupposait la capacité de projeter et de matérialiser les fantasmes grâce à la vis imaginativa. Contre cette conception se sont mobilisé autant les docteurs de l Église, qui ont diabolisé l âme fantastique, que les nouveaux philosophes cartésiens, qui ont traité l imagination comme la «mère de toutes les erreurs». Mon travail se propose d exemplifier cette évolution de l histoire des idées en l appliquant au genre des utopies classiques. Si au début le terme d utopie désignait une création d esprit nourrie par la fantaisie, après l attaque de la philosophie rationaliste il a acquis le sens, valide encore aujourd hui, de projet impossible, de fiction pernicieuse, d illusion répréhensible Mots-clé : imagination, utopie, censure, philosophie rationaliste, illusion 6. De la nature du héros. Ruses, stratagèmes et identité dans l épopée orientale (XI e -XV e siècles) Anna CAIOZZO, Université Paris 7, Diderot, France Le thème de la métamorphose est l un des traits paradigmatiques de la personnalité du héros épique se seconde fonction, usant de l illusion, hommes ou femmes adoptent selon les situations, la solution pratiques de se cacher au yeux du monde, de taire leur véritable identité et leurs sentiments au profit d une identité temporaire qui leur permettra d investir une place, d acquérir la confiance d un grand, de s immiscer dans un lieu fermé et interdit, bref de transgresser des règles sociales, ou de surmonter des obstacles par le jeu du déguisement ou de la métamorphose. Ces remarques permettront d emblée d évoquer le statut de l illusion comme pratique mantique interdite mais néanmoins employés dans l armée et les substituts employés par les héros pour y remédier. La métamorphose quant elle ontologiquement possible, à l instar de certaines entités combattues par les héros, relève bien, non de l illusion mais de talents particuliers que certains héros peuvent néanmoins posséder. Notons que le personnage qui se déguise est souvent un grand guerrier dont les pratiques étranges ont interpellé plus d un spécialistes de la littérature persane, Olga Davidson, Dick Davis ou William Hanaway entre autres. Or, ces pratiques usant ouvertement du mensonge, souvent déloyales, si elles relèvent de la ruse, renvoient aussi à la nature profonde des héros, en somme à l ontologie de l être, ce qui permet d avoir un éclairage différent sur les personnages concernés qui illustrent bien un mythe bien connu celui du trickster. Cette contribution permettra d examiner quelques figures clefs de l imaginaire littéraire iranien via les corpus illustrés du Shāh Nāmeh ou de la Khamsa de Niżāmī, le grand héros Rustam et son avatar Isfandiyār, Alexandre Iskandar, mais aussi quelques cas de femmes guerrières qui doivent cacher et taire leur identité pour affronter des hommes. De l'illusion «Vase-Face» aux membres et corps fantômes: l'avenir des illusions Marie-Agnès CATHIARD, CRI, Université Stendhal, Grenoble, France Les illusions sont devenues depuis l avènement de la psychologie expérimentale (à la fin du XIX e siècle) partie intégrante des paradigmes et méthodes de la discipline et les nouvelles tendances cognitives en psychologie et neurosciences n'ont fait que consacrer l'établissement d'une véritable science des illusions (Ninio, 1998). Nous partirons d'une approche que nous avons lancée en 2007, année de notre accueil au CRI, à partir de nos expériences sur les illusions multimodales en parole (cf. notre comm. invitée au XVI th International Congress of Phonetic Sciences). L accent mis sur les illusions dites de bistabilité (type cube de Necker et transformations verbales, comme le verlan) nous a permis de dégager deux grands types d'illusions: celles qui dépendent d'un réseau pariéto-frontal, dites enactives (cf. notre communication à Enactive Interfaces IV-Enactive Art, 2007) ; et celles plus dépendantes de processus post-perceptifs, qui comprennent une part importante d'activation préfrontale dorsolatérale. Pour les premières, nous partirons des illusions de la Gestalt et de sa descendante l analyse de scènes de Bregman, tout particulièrement pour les flux perceptifs multimodaux, en tirant avantage de nouveaux paradigmes expérimentaux. Quant aux secondes, nous montrerons qu elles se manifestent dans la pensée mythique pour passer de la bistabilité à l ambivalence observée pour la plupart des ontologies fantastiques (fées mélusiniennes en Mahrtenehe, lutins/goblins/nains/elfes en incubes ou Alpdruck, etc.). Plusieurs de ces dernières se trouvant maintenant fondées dans la neurophysiologie d un état dissocié du cerveau la paralysie du sommeil, elles peuvent aussi, comme le membre fantôme, être des corps fantômes d'une indéniable présence en état d éveil, comme le révèle l examen épileptologique ou la télévirtualité pour générer une télé-présence. Mots-clé : illusions, bistabilité, membres et corps fantômes, libre-arbitre, intention motrice From the "vase-face" Illusion to Phantom Limbs and Phantom Bodies: the Future of Illusions Since the birth of Experimental Psychology at the end of the 19th century, illusions entered the paradigms and methods of the discipline, and the new trends in cognitive sciences reinforced the status of a true science of the illusions (Ninio, 1998). This contribution will dwell first on classical bistable illusions (Rubin vase and Necker cube), for they feed the basic conception of our perceptual senses as a closed loop system (à la Rodolfo Llinás, 2003). The weird sensation of phantom limbs in amputees, phantom bodies in different brain states, as well as the production of the rubberhand illusion in intact people and also the self/alien body presence created by virtual reality designs, are all phenomena which could help in testing datadriven models. It seems thus possible to distinguish when the cognitive sciences tell us to believe the subject report (e.g. phantom limb pain), and when they tell us not to believe her/him no more (e.g. free will in the motor intention). 14 8. Adrian Marino et le «pari de Pascal». Un «mystère enveloppé dans une énigme» - Marcela CIORTEA, 1 Decembrie 1918 University, Alba Iulia, Romania L année dernière (2010) est paru, aux Editions Polirom de Iaşi, le volume de mémoires d Adrian Marino, intitulé Viaţa unui om singur (La vie d un homme seul), où, sur plus de 500 pages, le critique ramène en mémoire, avec des commentaires, des faits, des idées, des histoires déroulées le long de trois étapes mouvementées de l histoire du peuple roumain : la fin de l entre-deux guerres, l époque communiste et l aube de la démocratie d après décembre Deux sont les pylônes essentiels sur lesquels se contruit la démarche : la ligne autobiographique d un côté, où l auteur mêle des détails de sa propre vie avec des qualités mais surtout des défauts de quelques personnes /personnalités dont les destins se sont croisés par la force des circonstances ; la ligne scientifique de l autre côté, à travers laquelle le lecteur (même innocent) peut reconstituer l agencement de l oeuvre d Adrian Marino. Les réactions de la presse n ont pas tardé : nous avons tous assisté à une diversité de commentaires et d interprétations en marge de ce livre soit de la part de ceux qui ont connu leur auteur «sur le vif» soit par ceux qui ont fait sa connaissance par des lectures. Quelles ont été les intentions d Adrian Marino dans ce volume publié cinq ans après sa mort, comme il l avait souhaité? Deux notes du dernier chapitre «Câteva concluzii», («Quelques conclusions») nous ont attiré l attention. Si au début il nous dit plus d une fois qu il n est pas content de son oeuvre, qu il «n aime plus» une bonne partie de ses livres, dans ce chapitre final Marino revient sur ces affirmations et note : «Nu pretind că sunt total indiferent la soarta operei mele [ ]. Tot ce a depins de mine am făcut cum am crezut că este mai bine, printr-un proces destul de lent şi dificil de decantare şi clarificare interioară. În rest, numai un mister învăluit într-o enigmă» (pp ) «Je ne prétends pas être totalement indifférent au sort de mon oeuvre. [ ]. - «J ai fait de mon mieux par un processus de décantation et clarification intérieure. Du reste, rien qu un mystère enveloppé dans une énigme...» Au même endroit, après avoir qualifié les résultats du travail de toute une vie comme modestes, sans renoncer pourtant au rôle de la persévérance, s opposant à la résignation et à la passivité culturelles, persuadé qu il a du moins réussi à tracer quelques directions de recherche censées rapporcher la critique roumaine de celle européenne, même si, à son avis, sa démarche restera quelque temps isolée, il finit par des phrases un peu espiègles : «Chiar dacă nu mai aştept nimic din nicio direcţie, am schiţat, cel puţin în conştiinţa mea şi într-un mic cerc de cunoştinţe mai apropiate, o soluţie de viitor. Calm, lucid, accept şi admit ambele ipoteze: de a cădea iremediabil în neant. Dar şi de a juca în felul meu pariul lui Pascal. Dacă-l pierd, nu pierd în definitiv nimic, deoarece nimic analog sau identic nu exista mai înainte. Dar, dacă-l câştig, câştig totul. (p. 517). - «Même si je n attents rien de personne, j ai esquissé du moins dans ma conscience et dans un petit cercle de personnes plus rapprochées, une solution pour le futur. En tout calme et lucidité j accepte et j admets les deux hypothèses : de m engouffrer irrémediablement mais aussi de jouer à ma manière le pari de Pascal. Si je le perds, je ne perds rien en définitive puisque rien d anaologue ou d identique n avait existé auparavant. Mais si je gagne, je gagne tout.» Comme nous n avons connu Adrian Marino que par les bibliographies suggérées par nos professeurs et, plus tard, par des lectures, nous allons tenter de faire une relecture du livre en suivant les connexions avec l oeuvre du savant qui a vécu à Cluj. La postérité, nous dit-il, «est toujours un enjeu risqué et suvent faux». (p. 486). Est-ce vrai? Mots-clé: Adrian Marino, critique, idéologie, herméneutique, mémoires. 14

15 Adrian Marino şi pariul lui Pascal Un mister învăluit într-o enigmă Anul trecut (2010) a apărut, la Editura Polirom din Iaşi, volumul de memorii al lui Adrian Marino, intitulat Viaţa unui om singur, în care, pe parcursul a peste 500 de pagini, criticul rememorează, comentând, fapte, idei, întâmplări desfăşurate de-a lungul a trei perioade fierbinţi din istoria poporului nostru: sfârşitul epocii interbelice, perioada comunistă şi zorii democraţiei postdecembriste. Doi sunt pilonii esenţiali pe care se construieşte întregul demers: pe de o parte, linia autobiografică, unde, alături de amănunte din viaţa personală, autorul aduce în prim-plan calităţi şi mai ales defecte ale unor persoane/personalităţi care, prin forţa împrejurărilor, şi-au încrucişat destinul cu al său; de cealaltă parte, linia ştiinţifică, pe urma căreia cititorul (chiar inocent) poate reconstitui închegarea operei lui Adrian Marino. În consecinţă, şi reacţiile în presă au urmat acestei bifurcaţii; am asistat cu toţii la diverse comentarii şi interpretări pe marginea cărţii, fie din partea celor care l-au cunoscut pe viu, fie din partea celor care l-au cunoscut numai din scris. Ce a urmărit Adrian Marino prin acest volum, publicat, la dorinţa sa, abia la 5 ani după trecerea lui în nefiinţă? Două însemnări din capitolul final, Câteva concluzii, ne-au atras atenţia. După ce mai întâi spusese nu o dată! că, ajuns la finalul vieţii, nu este mulţumit de opera sa, că multe din cărţile sale nu-i mai plac, în acest capitol final, Marino revine asupra acestor afirmaţii şi notează: Nu pretind că sunt total indiferent la soarta operei mele [ ]. Tot ce a depins de mine am făcut cum am crezut că este mai bine, printr-un proces destul de lent şi dificil de decantare şi clarificare interioară. În rest, numai un mister învăluit într-o enigmă (pp ). Şi tot acolo, după ce îşi califică rezultatele muncii de o viaţă drept modeste, pledând însă cauza perseverenţei, în contra resemnării şi pasivităţii culturale, convins că a reuşit măcar să traseze câteva direcţii de cercetare menite să apropie critica românească de cea europeană, chiar dacă, în opinia sa, demersul lui va rămâne o vreme izolat, încheie pe un ton jucăuş: Chiar dacă nu mai aştept nimic din nicio direcţie, am schiţat, cel puţin în conştiinţa mea şi într-un mic cerc de cunoştinţe mai apropiate, o soluţie de viitor. Calm, lucid, accept şi admit ambele ipoteze: de a cădea iremediabil în neant. Dar şi de a juca în felul meu pariul lui Pascal. Cum nu l-am cunoscut pe Adrian Marino decât din bibliografiile sugerate de profesorii noştri şi, mai târziu, din lecturi, vom încerca, în lucrarea de faţă, o relectură a cărţii, urmărind legăturile ei cu opera savantului stabilit la Cluj. The Western Culture as an Illusion in the Poetic Imagery of A.E. Baconsky Diana CÂMPAN, 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia, Romania This dissertation intends to be a radiography of the Romanian society and the chronicle of an artistic conscience show which enjoyed, in the a success, sometimes involuntary, sometimes desired, due to its passing through a Romanian culture subjected to a great Proustian process of adaptation to the political and ideological norm of the totalitarian regime. Our main focus was on the poetry, fiction, journal and memoirs belonging to the writer A.E.BACONSKY. Our utopia/counter-utopia perspective was not a mere pretext. Both the artist and the society were living together the dilemma of the research of the lost identity; only that for the Romanian 15

16 society of the totalitarian period there had been made a foretelling of the concrete UTOPIA: the Marxist-Leninist ideology and its pseudo-ethical paradigm, the socialist realism. The writings of Baconsky, up to 1956 (the year of great ruptures in the aesthetical consciousness of the poet) and on and off later, propose but the superficial aesthetization formula (anti-aesthetization!) of the code of the utopist totalitarianism. Progressively, the writer A.E. Baconsky would become aware of the aggressive process of robotisation, to which the Romanian artists had been subjected to, manifesting centrifugal tendencies, which started in a spectacular way with his famous speech at the tribune of the Congress of the Writers in June 1956, when he confessed the suffocation of the clichés and revoked his own creation. Then he started his long journey to himself, an initiation for he who had left the so-called utopia to get to the chore of a certain reality which would prove, at a deep analysis, the centre of the anti-utopia. Our intention is to approach the studies specific to the area of the imaginary in a creative manner, though the approach itself will be related to the sociology of culture and the theory of mentalities, the history of art and religion, the theory of value in culture and of comparative attitude. If the European topoi have always represented a fascination and an undeniable source of inspiration for our writers, then, to the same extent, the European contemporary space must long for an interweaving with our values. The dualism Identity vs Otherness, manifested both at an individual level and also at a larger level of cultures, is highly debated today, mainly from the perspective of the theory of mentalities and imagology. The European space, with all its sequences, is to be found with significations and various perspectives in the works of the contemporary Romanian writers, just as their discourse in poetry, novels or memoirs. The Game of Image between Phantasm and Vestige in Mihail Sebastian s Play - Gabriela CHICIUDEAN, 1 Decembrie 1918 University, Alba Iulia, Romania Readers assist in Mihail Sebastian s play work to a game between real and unreal (with valence of material and immaterial, tangible and intangible, seen and unseen), a game offered by the main characters, generally alter-egos of the author. Several character features, amplified to the maximum, part of the personality of the author or features he wishes for himself, are masks of the creator, always torn apart between what he is and what he wants to become. Related to time, truth or consciousness, the images the characters are operating with are just illusions, outer expressions provoked by desire. Illusion may be an externalization of the imaginary, provoked by desire, but imaginary is not always provoked by desire. Only illusion projects a desire, it belongs to imaginary, but also has a personal note. Blatantly breaking the links with a maculate type of life, the characters from Jocul de-a vacanţa escape from the mechanical and selfish prison of every-day life 3. Characters created by Sebastian take refuge in books, stars, dreams, always searching for a Paradise isolated from the bourgeois world 4. 17 history, in the footsteps of Alexander The Great in Asia; the three characters of Insula take refuge in dreams, on a coral island, far away from the reality of a society in crises. Steaua fără nume, where the Professor leaves the illusion he have discovered a star, reveals a game that prevails various situations of the play. Located in a provincial ordinary town, where everything seems lifeless, with little and opaque people, Miroiu is searching for a nameless star. He reads ancient atlases and finds out his star is not mentioned there, giving certitude it does exist. The illusion is neither confirmed, nor infirmed by reality. The star is not in old atlases, is not seen in the sky, but this does not mean that it does not exist, that her location is not next to Alcor, above Ursa Major. We assist to a game between reality and illusion, between vestige and phantasm. This illusion may last forever and always feed the hope of the professor, which is conscious that no telescope may reach it, but, when he closes his eyes, he already knows where the star is, its orbit may follow her trace. He can see much further that any human instrument. Professor Miroiu created a personal ideal; instead he is reaching to something that cannot be perceived. Stars are identifiable, material bodies, but the searched star, although exists in Miroiu s imaginary, cannot be confirmed by reality and remains caught between illusion and reality, between phantasm and vestige (cf. Wunenburger). The star next to Alcor belongs to a mental state of mind, to psychic. Its existence is important, not its form, materiality; it is an image that does not reach the state of independent objectification in relationship with its subject. 5 The star is as we already stated a phantasm and a vestige term used for material images -, and this is the game with the illusion. The mental image ( phantasm ) is more important than the material image ( vestige ). The importance of the material image is reduced to a marginal and small category. Related to time, Miroiu s star is placed somewhere in the future, is distinguished as representation, but related to the truth degree is just an illusion forever, lacks the quality of being seen because Stars never deviate from their journey. Related to the degree of consciousness, the image of the star is determined of the distinction between the wakefulness episodes 6. Miroiu enters a special state thinking of or talking about his star, he is very absorbed in reading, he is absent, he looks like in a wake or he is exalted mentioning Mona about his star. Miroiu s illusion, the star he is dreaming to discover, could be an anticipating image, still not a pure one, a proper star, because, like Wunenburger considers, not all the representations have correspondents in anticipating images. It may be isolated an activity of atemporal, uchronic production of alternative representation of reality 7, without any temporal expectations or beliefs in a future materialization. The anticipating image has several resources the need for action, the need for knowledge, the desire and involves a part of imagination that leads to images that models and simulate future expectations. This may be a pure exercise of sided potentialities/.../or a pure reference to an object in a way that neutralizes beliefs, or a profile variation, without a projection of the future events. 8 This type of visualization is a phenomenon linked to scientific activities. The visualization processes of temporal alterity accompany the mental dynamic of desires 9, because desire is the main source of unreal images. 18 Jocul imaginii între fantasmă şi vestigiu în teatrul lui Mihail Sebastian Asistăm în teatrul lui Mihail Sebastian la un joc între real şi ireal (în sensul de material şi imaterial, de tangibil şi intangibil, vazut şi nevăzut), un joc oferit de personajele principale, care sunt în general ipostaze ale creatorului, diferite trăsături de caracter, amplificate la maxim, cu care autorul este înzestrat sau pe care şi le-ar dori să le aibă, sunt măşti ale creatorului măcinat mereu de jocul dintre ceea ce este în realitate şi ceea ce ar dori să fie. Raportate la timp, la gradul de adevăr sau la gradul de conştiinţă, imaginile cu care operează eroii pieselor de teatru sunt iluzii, sunt expresii provocate de dorinţă. Iluzia poate fi o expresie a imaginarului provocată de o dorinţă, dar imaginarul nu este totdeuna provocat de o dorinţă. Doar iluzia proiectează şi o dorinţă, ea aparţine imaginarului dar are o notă personală. Rupând ostentativ legăturile cu viaţa maculată, personajele din Jocul de-a vacanţa evadează din închisoarea mecanică şi egoistă a vieţii de toate zilele 10. Eroii lui Sebastian, se refugiază în cărţi, în stele, în vise, fiind mereu în căutarea unui Paradis izolat de lumea burgheză 11. Profesorul Miroiu evadează în cerul încărcat de stele minunate; Andronic din Ultima oră trăieşte în istorie, pe urmele lui Alexandru cel Mare în Asia; iar cele trei personaje din Insula se refugiază în vis într-o insulă de coral, departe de realitatea societăţii aflate într-o situaţie de criză. Oprindu-ne în lucrarea de faţă la Steaua fără nume, în care Profesorul trăieşte cu iluzia că a descoperit o stea, constatăm existenţa unui joc ce prevelează diferite situaţii ale piesei. Aflat într-un oraş de provincie oarecare, în care totul pare fără viaţă, în care locuitorii sunt meschini, măcinaţi de provincialism şi opaci, Miroiu caută o stea fără nume. Cercetează atlase vechi şi constată că steaua pe care o intuieşte el nu se găseşte acolo, lucru ce îi conferă certitudinea că ea există. Iată cum iluzia nu este nici confirmată, nici infirmată de realitate, steaua nu se vede pe cer, nu se găseşte în atlase astronomice, dar asta nu înseamnă că nu există, că nu se află lîngă Alcor, deasupra Ursei Mari. Asistăm deci la un joc, jocul dintre real şi iluzie, dintre vestigiu şi fantasmă. Această iluzie poate dura la nesfîrşit, poate alimenta mereu speranţa profesorului conştient că nici un ochean nu poate străbate pînă la ea, dar care, cînd închide ochii, ştie unde se află steaua, îi cunoaşte orbita, îi poate urmări drumul, căci el poate vedea mult, mult mai departe. Profesorul Miroiu şi-a creat un ideal, dar tinde spre ceva care nu poate fi perceput. Stelele sunt corpuri identificabile, materiale, dar în momentul în care steaua căutată nu poate fi confirmată de realitate, deşi există în imaginarul lui Miroiu, ea rămîne undeva între iluzie şi realitate, între fantasmă şi vestigiu (cf. Wunenburger). Steaua de lîngă Alcor ţine de domeniul mentalului, al psihicului, importantă fiind existenţa ei şi nu forma, materialitatea, e o imagine care nu ajunge la obiectivări independente de subiect 12, este, cum spuneam, şi fantasma şi vestigiu termen aplicabil imaginilor materiale, în aceasta constînd, de fapt, jocul cu iluzia. Imaginea mentală ( fantasma ) este mult mai importantă decît cea materială ( vestigiu ), importanţa ultimei fiind limitată la o categorie marginală şi redusă. Raportată la timp, steaua lui Miroiu se plasează undeva în viitor, este distinsă ca reprezentare, este o cvasi-certirudine cum se spune în cazul previziunilor ştiinţifice, dar în raport cu gradul de adevăr este iluzorie, veşnic iluzorie deoarece nu o vom putea vedea Pentru că stelele nu se abat niciodată de la drumul lor. 19 determinată de distincţia activităţilor psihice de veghe 13. Miroiu are o stare aparte cînd se gîndeşte sau cînd vorbeşte de steaua lui, este foarte absorbit de lectură, este absent, pare a fi în stare de veghe, sau este exaltat cînd îi vorbeşte Monei despre existenţa ei. Iluzia lui Miroia, steaua pe care visează să o descopere, ar fi o imagine anticipatoare, dar nu este una pură, în adevăratul sens al cuvîntului, căci, ne spune Wunenburger, nu toate reprezentările ţin de imagini anticipatoare. Se poate izola o activitate de pură producere atemporală, ucronică, a unor reprezentări alternative realului 14 fără aşteptări temporale sau credinţe în împlinirea ei viitoare. Imaginea anticipatoare are mai multe surse nevoia de a acţiona, nevoia de a cunoaşte şi dorinţa şi pune în joc o parte a imaginaţiei care conduce spre imagini ce modelează şi simulează aşteptările viitoare. Ar fi vorba de un pur exerciţiu de potenţialităţi laterale /.../ sau despre o pură vizare a unui obiect în modul neutralizării credinţei, despre o variaţie de profil, fără proiectare în ceea ce va să vină 15. Acest tip de vizualizare a unui fenomen este legat de activităţile ştiinţifice. Preocesele de vizualizare a unei alterităţi temporale însoţesc dinamica psihică a dorinţelor 16, dorinţa fiind cel mai important motor al producerii imaginilor ireale. The words of the Ecclesiastes (Chapter 1) draw the attention on the fact that the human being who imagines living incredible things, is in fact under the influence of the pure illusion. It is only rediscovering "cyber-spaces-times" which have always existed in it. The Book of shadows (L Atalante Publishing House, 2005), an anthology of science-fiction belonging to Serge Lehman, a sort of Book of books, book in the book comparable to the Bible, has the role to put "the consciousness to the test of time". It creates a world, it recreates worlds, realities in which we cling to give a meaning to the individual existence, to the existence of what surrounds us. We do not really know moreover if it is the book which creates the worlds imagined between its / these pages - which are the object of our analysis - or if it is the stories gathered here that make it. Stories registered on fracts which only the men-mothers can decipher. A connection with the levels of reality evoked by the quantum physics is possible. The fracts send us to the fractal theory: "a fragment, one thousand times repeated in structures finally governed by a certain order which could go to the infinity" (Benoît de Mandelbrot, Les objets fractals, 1975). The fractional dimension of space is compatible with the "cyber-space-time", the fractals here representing "natural" entities capable of exceeding the classical binary logic whose code is 0,1, by reminding thus the birth of what Basarab Nicolescu (Transidiciplinaritatea. 20 House), 2007) calls "the first historic type of ternary interaction: the infinitely small, the infinitely big, and the infinitely conscious". The Book of shadows thus becomes an invitation addressed to the human being to meet a level of perception and reality who could determine it to change perception of its place in the universe. L oeil n a jamais fini de voir, ni l oreille d entendre.» - «Ce qui a existé, c est cela qui existera ; ce qui s est fait, c est cela qui se fera ; il n y a rien de nouveau sous le soleil.» Les paroles de l Ecclésiaste (Chapitre 1, versets 8 et 9) nous attirent l attention sur le fait que l être humain qui s imagine vivre des choses inouïes, se trouve en réalité sous l emprise de la pure illusion. Il ne fait que redécouvrir des «cyber-espaces-temps» qui existaient en lui depuis toujours. Le Livre des ombres (Editions L Atalante, 2005), une anthologie de sciencefiction appartenant à Serge Lehman, une sorte de Livre des livres, de livre dans le livre assimilable à la Bible, a le rôle de mettre «la conscience à l épreuve du temps». Il crée un monde, il recrée des mondes, des réalités auxquelles on se raccroche pour donner un sens à l existence individuelle, à l existence de ce qui nous entoure. On ne sait d ailleurs pas vraiment si c est le livre qui crée les mondes imaginés entre ses / ces pages - et qui constituent l objet de notre analyse - ou bien si ce sont les histoires ici rassemblées qui le font. Des histoires inscrites sur des fractes que seuls les hommes-mères peuvent déchiffrer. Une corrélation avec les niveaux de réalité évoqués par la physique quantique est possible. Les fractes renvoient à la théorie fractale : «un fragment, mille fois répété dans des structures finalement régies par un certain ordre qui pourrait aller à l infini» (Benoît de Mandelbrot, Les Objets fractals -1975). La dimension fractionnaire de l espace est compatible avec le «cyber-espace-temps», les fractales y représentant des entités «naturelles» capables de dépasser la logique binaire classique dont le code est 0,1, rappelant ainsi la naissance de ce que Basarab Nicolescu (Transidiciplinaritatea. Manifest, Editions Junimea, 2007) appelle «le premier type historique d interaction ternaire : l infiniment petit, l infiniment grand, l infiniment conscient». Le Livre des ombres devient alors une invitation adressée à l être humain d aller à l encontre d un niveau de perception et de réalité qui pourraient le déterminer à changer de vision quant à sa place dans l univers.
