2 2 AMANDINE CHHOR Née en 1983 en France, diplômée d un master en design industriel à l ENSCI-Les Ateliers en 2009, après avoir étudié les arts appliqués à l ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres de 2002 à Dès 2008, elle partage son activité entre des collaborations avec des agences de design et le développement de projets personnels, en France et à l étranger. A partir de 2011, elle travaille comme chef de projet au sein du département Recherches et Innovation chez Hermès, avant de rejoindre la Direction Artistique fin Born in 1983 in France, Amandine Chhor graduated with a master s degree in industrial design from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in 2009, after studying applied arts at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres from 2002 to Since 2008, she has shared her activity between collaborations with design agencies and the development of personal projects, both in France and abroad. Since 2011, she has worked as a project manager in Hermès Research and Innovation Department before joining the Artistic Direction. «M intéressant aux passerelles existantes entre l industrie et l artisanat, j envisage le design comme le moyen de créer des liens entre savoir-faire et de m immerger dans des contextes différents. Le dessin évolue au contact de la matière et de la technique, sa transformation relate l histoire d un dialogue entre le designer et l éditeur. L objet qui en résulte est le fruit d une rencontre particulière.» «Interested in the existing bridges between industry and artisanal work, I envisage design as a way to create links between savoir-faire and to immerse myself in different contexts. The design evolves in contact with the material and the technique. Its transformation tells the story of the exchange between the designer and the editor. The resulting object is one of a particular encounter.»

Créant un paysage domestique - idéal le long d un lit simple, en tête d un lit double, au-dessus d un bureau ou d un canapé - elle habille les murs d une présence légère et élégante.» «LOOP was conceived from the wish to generate new curves from existing constraints in the production of shopping trolleys ; the the result is a poetic shelf, ideal about a bed or a desk.» LOOP est née d une réflexion menée par Amandine Chhor sur les contraintes industrielles du fil d acier soudé. Elle aboutit à une étagère murale qui se déploie sur 1,60m, dont 1,40m de surface fonctionnelle. Le fil d acier soudé lui confère une impression de légèreté et assure une grande solidité. Elle convient parfaitement comme tête de lit double ou le long d un lit simple ou d un bureau. Avec son galbe remarquable, cette étagère en jaune citron réveille votre intérieur, et en blanc s y fond. LOOP was born from a reflection by Amandine Chhor on the industrial constraints of soldered steel wire. This reflection inspired a wall shelf which extends over 1.60m of which 1.40m is functional space. The soldered steel wire gives the shelf a feeling of lightness whilst assuring great solidity. The shelf is perfect as a double bed headboard or as shelving for the length of a single bed or desk. With its remarkable contours this shelf in lemon yellow wakes up your interior whilst in white blends into the background.
