2 1. Blower Fan 1.1 Important Safety Instructions Warning: Safety precautions must be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and personal injury. Do not expose to rain or use in wet locations, or in the presence of explosive gases. Ensure all instructions and warnings are understood before operation. Save these instructions a. Always look over the work area prior to use. Never use near or in water. b. Do NOT restrict flow of air to or from the unit, as this can damage it. c. Always wear safety glasses when operating the unit. In dusty areas, use a dust mask or respirator. d. Maintain the power cord. Do NOT unplug the unit by pulling on the cord. Always check the power cord for damage prior to use. e. Always secure the unit if using in an unstable environment. f. Never place any tool or object into the air intake or discharge grill. g. Always maintain the unit. For optimum performance keep the motor, air blower and blower wheel clean. h. Always disconnect the unit when not in use or before servicing. i. Always inspect the unit prior to use. Check the motor, air blower, power cord and housing of the unit for any possible damage. If any damage is found, contact an approved service centre. 1.2 Maintenance a. Do not use lacquer thinner or other solvents, gasoline, mineral spirits or other combustible liquids to clean the unit. b. Do not use abrasives like steel wool or wire brushes to clean the unit. c. To properly clean the unit, use only plastic cleaner and/or polish. d. All repairs should be performed by qualified electricians to reduce the risk of electric shock.

4 2. Heater Attachment 2.1 Important Safety Instructions a. Read all instructions before using this heater. THIS HEATER IS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH THE SUPPLIED FAN BLOWER UNIT MODEL ONLY. b. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use the blower handle to move the heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet from the front of the heater and keep them away from the side and the rear of the heater. c. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or disabled personnel and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended. d. Always unplug heater when not in use. e. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Return heater to our service center for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustments, or repair. f. Do not use outdoors. g. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms or similar wet indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. h. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar. Lay cord away from traffic area where it may be tripped over. i. To disconnect heater, turn heater control to off, remove heater plug from blower receptacle, and uncouple heater from blower outlet. j. Connect to properly grounded outlets only. k. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause an electrical shock or fire, or damage the heater. l. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may be blocked.

5 m. A heater has hot, arcing, or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, flammable liquids, fumes or dusts are used or stored. n. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. o. Avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. p. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. 2.2 Attachment: a. Attach heater to the accompanying fan blower model. Slide the heater over the blower outlet and secure the spring clip to the blower catch. The fit should be tight with no gaps. b. Plug the heater power cord into the blower receptacle. 2.4 Operation a. TURN THE BLOWER ON FIRST and then turn on the heater with the lighted On-Off switch. When the switch is lit, the power is applied to the heater. b. TURN THE HEATER OFF FIRST and then wait a few minutes before turning off the blower. 6 2.5 Controls: Lighted On-Off Switch: Lit when power is applied to the heater. Air Switch: Provides an interlocker so the heater can only be operated after being mounted on a blower and the blower is normally operating. Internal Thermostat: An internal thermostat has been provided to maintain the heater temperatures within normal operating ranges. Working Light: Lit when the heater is normally operating. Internal Thermal Fuse: If the thermostat should fail or the temperature of the heater starts to reach a hazardous range, a one time thermal fuse protects against hazardous over-thermostat conditions. This fuse is set to trip above the thermostat set point and is a factory replaceable item. 2.6 Maintenance a. Always unplug and disconnect the heater from blower before cleaning. b. Use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution for the case. c. Use a soft brush to clean the screens. d. NEVER IMMERSE the heater in water, or allow water to drip into the heater housing. NEVER use gasoline, benzene, thinners, or similar materials to clean the heater. They will damage the heater and could cause a fire or explosion. 2.7 Grounding Instructions This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug and is intended for insertion into the receptacle on the ATD Fan Blower case only. The blower has a similarly configured plug. Use only with a properly grounded receptacle.

Ventilateur de soufflage 1.1 Consignes importantes de sécurité Avertissement : Vous devez prendre les précautions appropriées pour réduire les risques d incendie, de choc électrique et de blessure corporelle. Évitez d exposer cet appareil à la pluie et de vous en servir dans un endroit humide ou en présence de gaz explosifs. Avant de l utiliser, familiarisez-vous avec toutes les directives et les mises en garde. Conservez ces instructions. a. Examinez bien la zone de travail avant de vous servir de cet appareil. Ne l utilisez jamais près de l eau ou dans l eau. b. Ne limitez PAS la circulation de l air qui entre dans l appareil ou qui en sort, car cela pourrait l endommager. c. Portez toujours des lunettes de protection quand vous faites marcher l appareil. Si l ambiance est poussiéreuse, utilisez aussi un masque anti-poussières ou un respirateur. d. Prenez bien soin du cordon d alimentation électrique. Vous ne devez PAS débrancher l appareil en tirant son cordon. Avant de mettre l appareil en marche, examinez toujours son cordon d alimentation. e. Si vous placez l appareil sur une surface instable, vous devez l immobiliser pour plus de sécurité. f. Ne mettez jamais un outil ou un objet quelconque dans la grille d entrée ou de sortie de l air. g. L entretien de l appareil est important. Pour en tirer un rendement optimal, le moteur, la soufflante et sa roue doivent toujours être propres. h. Déconnectez toujours l appareil quand vous ne vous en servez pas ou avant d effectuer des travaux d entretien. i. Examinez toujours l appareil avant de l utiliser. Inspectez le moteur, la soufflante, le cordon d alimentation et le boîtier du ventilateur. Si vous découvrez des dommages, communiquez avec un centre de service approuvé. 1.2 Entretien a. Pour nettoyer l appareil, n employez jamais un diluant à peinture-laque, un autre solvant, de l essence pour véhicules, de l essence minérale, ni aucun liquide combustible. b. Ne vous servez jamais d un auxiliaire abrasif comme la laine d acier ou

10 une brosse métallique pour nettoyer l appareil. c. Pour bien nettoyer l appareil, employez uniquement un poli et/ou un nettoyant pour le plastique. d. Afin de réduire le risque de choc électrique, tous les travaux de réparation devraient être confiés à un électricien compétent. 1.3 Liste des pièces Art. 11 2. Réchauffeur 2.1 Consignes importantes de sécurité a. Lisez attentivement toutes les instructions avant de vous servir de cette chaufferette. CE RÉCHAUFFEUR A ÉTÉ CONÇU UNIQUEMENT POUR ÊTRE UTILISÉ AVEC LE MODÈLE FOURNI DE VENTILATEUR SOUFFLANT. b. Ce réchauffeur est brûlant lorsqu il est en service. Pour éviter les brûlures, veillez à ce que la peau nue n entre pas en contact avec les surfaces très chaudes. Servez-vous de la poignée du ventilateur quand vous déplacez le réchauffeur. Éloignez les objets combustibles, tels que les meubles, les oreillers, la literie, le papier, les vêtements et les rideaux, à au moins un mètre (3 pieds) du devant du réchauffeur. Vous devez aussi vous assurer qu ils sont à une distance prudente des côtés et de l arrière du réchauffeur. c. Il faut faire preuve d une grande prudence lorsqu un réchauffeur ou radiateur est utilisé par des enfants ou des personnes handicapées, de même que chaque fois qu il est laissé en marche sans surveillance. d. Débranchez toujours le réchauffeur lorsqu il n est pas en service. e. Ne vous servez pas d un réchauffeur dont la fiche ou le cordon est endommagé, ni si l appareil a fait l objet d une panne, s il est tombé par terre ou s il a été avarié d une manière quelconque. Retournez le réchauffeur à notre centre de service s il a besoin de réglages électriques ou mécaniques, ou bien s il doit être réparé. f. N utilisez pas cet appareil à l extérieur. g. On ne doit pas se servir de ce réchauffeur dans une salle de bains ou un autre lieu humide à l intérieur. Ne placez jamais l appareil dans un endroit à partir duquel il pourrait tomber dans une baignoire ou un autre contenant plein d eau. h. N acheminez pas son cordon d alimentation sous un tapis. Ce cordon ne doit jamais être dissimulé sous des carpettes, des tapis d escalier, etc. Ne mettez pas le cordon là où les gens circulent, car ils pourraient trébucher. i. Pour déconnecter le réchauffeur, tournez sa commande de chauffage à sa position d arrêt (Off), sortez sa fiche hors de la prise de courant et détachez la chaufferette de la sortie de la soufflante.

12 j. L énergie électrique doit provenir uniquement de prises de courant correctement mises à la terre. k. Vous ne devez jamais introduire des objets étrangers ni leur permettre de pénétrer dans les orifices d admission et d évacuation de l appareil, car le résultat pourrait être un choc électrique ou un incendie, et le réchauffeur pourrait aussi être endommagé. l. Comme précaution contre le feu, n obstruez jamais l entrée ou la sortie de l air. Ne placez jamais le réchauffeur sur une surface molle, comme un lit, car ses orifices pourraient alors être obstrués. m. On trouve, dans un réchauffeur, des pièces brûlantes ou qui produisent des étincelles. On ne doit jamais faire fonctionner cet appareil dans un endroit où il pourrait y avoir de l essence, de la peinture, ainsi que des poussières, vapeurs ou liquides inflammables. n. N employez ce réchauffeur que de la façon décrite dans ce manuel. Toute autre utilisation non recommandée par son fabricant entraîne des risques d incendie, de choc électrique ou de blessure corporelle. o. Évitez d utiliser un cordon prolongateur, car cette rallonge pourrait surchauffer et causer un incendie. p. CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS. 2.2 Montage a. Pour attacher le réchauffeur au ventilateur, glissez-le sur la sortie de la soufflante, puis fixez-le à l aide de la pince à ressort. Il devrait être bien ajusté, sans aucun espace libre. b. Branchez le cordon d alimentation du réchauffeur dans la prise de la soufflante. 2.4 Utilisation a. METTEZ D ABORD LA SOUFFLANTE EN MARCHE, puis allumez le réchauffeur au moyen du commutateur lumineux de marche-arrêt (ON-OFF). Lorsque le commutateur est illuminé, cela veut dire que le courant électrique alimente le réchauffeur. b. ÉTEIGNEZ LE RÉCHAUFFEUR EN PREMIER, puis attendez quelques minutes avant d arrêter la soufflante. Cet intervalle permet au réchauffeur de refroidir et prolonge ainsi sa durée de vie utile.

13 Réchauffeur Soufflante Voyant de fonctionnement Cordon d alimentation du réchauffeur 2.5 Commandes Commutateur de marche/arrêt lumineux Commutateur de marche-arrêt lumineux : Il est illuminé lorsque le courant électrique alimente le réchauffeur. Pressostat d air : À cause de ce dispositif enclencheur, le réchauffeur ne peut fonctionner qu après avoir été posé sur une soufflante et uniquement lorsque cette soufflante fonctionne normalement. Thermostat interne : Ce thermostat a pour fonction de maintenir la température du réchauffeur dans sa plage d utilisation normale. Voyant de fonctionnement : Il reste allumé lorsque le réchauffeur fonctionne normalement. Fusible thermique interne : S il arrivait que le thermostat soit défectueux ou que la température du réchauffeur atteigne un niveau dangereux, il y un fusible thermique à usage unique qui protège l appareil contre les températures excessives. Cet élément saute quand la température dépasse le point de consigne du thermostat et l usine peut ensuite vous fournir un fusible de rechange. 2.6 Entretien a. Avant de procéder au nettoyage de l appareil, vous devez toujours débrancher et déconnecter le réchauffeur de la soufflante. b. Pour nettoyer l extérieur, employez un chiffon doux et de l eau savonneuse. c. Pour les grilles, servez-vous d une brosse molle. d. Vous ne devez JAMAIS IMMERGER le réchauffeur dans l eau, ni permettre à l eau de dégoutter dans son boîtier. On ne doit JAMAIS employer de l essence, du benzène, un diluant ou une substance semblable pour nettoyer le réchauffeur. En effet, ces produits endommageront le réchauffeur et pourraient provoquer un incendie ou une explosion.

14 2.7 Mise à la terre Ce réchauffeur doit être alimenté par un courant de 120 volts. Son cordon est muni d une fiche qu on ne doit introduire que dans la prise de courant qui se trouve sur le boîtier de la soufflante. La soufflante est dotée d une fiche à configuration semblable. Il faut toujours la brancher dans une prise de courant correctement mise à la terre. 2.8 Liste des pièces Art.
