Manger permet de rester en vie (fonction vitale) mais pas seulement. Manger contribue au bien-être global et à l'équilibre émotionnel et social. Bien manger [] s'apprend. L'enfant construit progressivement son rapport au monde alimentaire pour devenir un mangeur adulte autonome. Pour ce faire, il fait appel à des compétences de type sensori-moteur, social et psychologique. Cette construction est parfois complexe : 3 à 50% des enfants neuro typiques présentent des problèmes alimentaires. On estime que cette proportion atteint plus de 80 % voire 90% des enfants avec TSA. Certaines difficultés rencontrées sont semblables à celles que rencontrent les enfants au développement typique, certaines sont plus spécifiques aux TSA. Ces difficultés alimentaires péjorent la qualité de vie de personnes déjà fragilisées par l'autisme ainsi que celle de leur famille. Ces problèmes alimentaires ont un impact sur le développement du réseau social de l'enfant. Des activités telles que fêtes d'anniversaire, repas au restaurant, fêtes de famille lui deviennent inaccessibles. Les repas quotidiens deviennent sources de stress pour les parents. Ces attitudes contribuent ainsi à l'isolement social de la personne et de sa famille et renforcent la perception de la différence. Si ces problèmes alimentaires sont bien décrits chez les personnes avec TSA, parents et soignants ne savent pas comment y faire face et peinent à trouver des réponses efficaces. Il est important de pouvoir proposer des outils pour accompagner la construction du comportement alimentaire chez l'enfant avec TSA tant dans le cadre familial que dans le cadre institutionnel. Cette présentation a pour but de proposer un bref état de la question dans le cadre d'un projet pluridisciplinaire conduit par les universités de Fribourg et de Lyon en partenariat avec la fondation Senso 5 et l'institut Paul Bocuse. [] Par «bien manger» il faut comprendre avoir une alimentation qui permet de répondre à l'ensemble des besoins physiologiques, psychologiques et émotionnels.

2 MOBILE PHONE ADDICTION IN SWISS ADOLESCENTS. DEVELOPMENT OF A 0-ITEM SCREENING SCALE Milena Foerster, Katharina Roser, Anna Schöni, Martin Röösli Swiss TPH Introduction Mobile phone addiction (MPA) may be associated with depression, personal distress or somatic complaints and prevalence is considered to be high especially in adolescents. Because previous research on this topic has been hampered by the lack of a short diagnostic screening tool a 0 Item MPA-questionnaire was derived from the 27 item MPPUS (Mobile Phone Problem Use Scale) focusing on diagnostic criteria for addictive syndroms. Methods The epidemiologic HERMES study investigated the mobile phone use of 3-6 year old adolescents (n=43) in Central Switzerland in 202/203. Problematic mobile phone use was assessed by the 27 Item MPPUS. Using factor analytic methods the MPPUS was shortened to a short screening tool (MPPUS-0) consisting of 0 Items to be rated on a 0-point Likert-scale. For validation both scores were correlated with addictionrelevant scales of the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ: Hyperactivity, Conduct Problems, Emotional Symptoms) as well as with headache and distress as measured by the Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) and the Zerssen Beschwerdeliste. All p-values were Bonferroni-corrected for multiple measures. Results Spearman s correlation between MPPUS-27 and MPPUS-0 was r s=0.945, p<0.00. Internal consistency of the MPPUS-0 was good-to-excellent (Cronbach s alpha= 0.85). Girls tended to score higher than boys on the MPPUS-0 (girls: mean=29.96, min=0, max=92; boys: mean=25.86, min=0, max=72, p=0.04). MPA assessed by both scores was associated with psychological factors measured by the SDQ-subscales. Spearman s correlation for Conduct Problems was r s=0.39 and r s=0.323, for Emotional Symptoms r s=0.56 and r s=0.60 and for Hyperactivity r s=0.32 and r s=0.328 with r s-values referring to MPPUS-0 and MPPUS, respectively. All correlations were significant (p<0.0). Additionally, there were significant correlation of the MPPUS with HIT-6 headache score (r s for MPPUS-0=0.27, p<0.00) and distress (r s=0.86, p<0.00). Discussion Correlation coefficients of the MPPUS-0 and the MPPUS show high agreement on all measured variables. Thus the MPPUS-0 can be considered a valid tool for very short MPA assessment in adolescents. Results are in line with previous studies dealing with mobile phone addiction revealing high correlations with personality factors and adverse health effects associated with addictive patterns. 2

3 MOBILE PHONE USE DURING NIGHT AND ITS IMPACT ON HEALTH AND COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS IN ADOLESCENTS Anna Schöni, Katharina Roser, Milena Foerster, Martin Röösli Swiss TPH Introduction Mobile phone use has increased remarkably in adolescents and children. A part of adolescents tends to leave their mobile phone turned on during night and accept being awakened by an incoming text message or call. Little is known about mobile phone use during night and potential impacts on health outcomes and cognitive functions. The HERMES (Health Effects Related Mobile phone use in adolescents) study -a prospective cohort studyinvestigates how the mobile phone use after lights out affects adolescents health and cognitive functions. Methods 439 students aged 2 to 7 years were queried to answer to mobile phone exposure variables, which included switching off the mobile phone during night, being awakened by mobile phone and being responsive to an incoming text or call during night. Furthermore objective mobile phone traffic data was collected for 234 study participants. Health outcomes included headache, tiredness, lack of energy, lack of concentration, exhaustibility and physical wellbeing. Additionally, cognitive tests on a computer were performed to assess concentration (FAKT, Frankfurter Adaptiver Konzentrationsleistungs-Test) and learning capacity (subtest of the Intelligenz-Struktur-Test). Data have been analysed with multivariable regression models adjusted for various potential confounders. Results 70% of the study participants indicate to leave their mobile phone switched on during night and 9% indicate being awakened at night by mobile phone at least once a week. Among those participants who are awakened at night by mobile phone, 69% reported to response to incoming texts or calls. Preliminary results show an increased level in headache when leaving the mobile phone switched on during night (OR.78 ( )), when being awakened at night by mobile phone (OR.86 ( )), and when being responsive to an incoming text or call (OR 2.04 ( )). Results for tiredness, lack of energy, lack of concentration, exhaustibility and physical wellbeing were similar. Analyses with objective mobile phone traffic data confirm these findings with somewhat larger confidence intervals due to the smaller sample size. The results of the cognitive tests showed no consistent pattern. Discussion This study indicates impaired health outcomes but not impaired cognitive functions when mobile phones are used during night. 3

4 PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, SPORTS, SENSATION SEEKING AND INJURIES IN MALE EMERGING ADULTS IN SWITZERLAND Eva Martin-Diener, Simon Foster, Meichun Mohler-Kuo, Brian Martin Universität Zürich / Institut für Sozial- und Präventivmedizin Introduction: Physical activity is important for population health. However, injuries are a concern, particularly in males and young adults. It is estimated that up to 50% of all injuries in this age group are sports-related. It is not clear how levels of physical activity or sports affect total injury risk, it has been suggested that physical activity and sports could protect from injuries in other contexts. Sensation seeking has been shown to be associated with traffic-related injuries. Little is known about associations between sensation seeking and injuries in other contexts. We hypothesised that higher numbers of sports episodes and higher levels of sensation seeking are both prospectively associated with increased total injury risk and that sensation seeking modifies the association between sports behaviour and injury risk. Methods: Baseline and 5-month follow-up data was used from the Cohort Study on Substance Use Risk Factors (C- SURF), a large cohort study surveying young Swiss men. Risk factors assessed at baseline were level of physical activity (low, moderate, high) using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire ( IPAQ short), frequency of sport activity (rare/never, occasional, weekly), and level of sensation seeking using the Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (low, middle, high). The outcome of interest was having had any accident or injury during the past 2 months at follow-up (yes/no). Data was available for 4695 men with a mean age of 2.3 years (SD:.23) at follow-up. Logistic regression was used to assess prospective associations between sensation seeking, level of physical activity, frequency of sport activity, and injuries and accidents. Results: 48.6% of the participants reported at least one accident or injury for the previous 2 months. In the logistic regression model controlling for socio-demographic factors, previous injuries, alcohol consumption and BMI, injury risk was associated with high levels of sensation seeking (OR=.24 [95% CI: ]), high levels of physical activity (OR=.29 [ ]), occasional episodes of sports or exercise (OR=.27 [.0-.60]) but not with regular episodes of sports or exercise. There was no interaction between sensation seeking and the frequency of sports with respect to injury risk. Conclusions: In emerging male adults injury risk was high. Individuals that are only occasionally active in sports should get specific attention in injury prevention. 4

5 SANTÉ MENTALE ET HOMONÉGATIVITÉ INTÉRIORISÉE CHEZ LES HOMMES AYANT DES RAPPORTS SEXUELS AVEC DES HOMMES : RÉSULTATS DE L ENQUÊTE SUISSE GAYSURVEY 202 Stéphanie Lociciro, Stéphanie Lociciro 2, Raphaël Bize 2, Françoise Dubois-Arber 2 CHUV / IUMSP, 2 CHUV/IUMSP Objectif Evaluer la santé mentale et l homonégativité intériorisée des hommes ayant des rapports sexuels avec des hommes (HSH). Méthodologie L enquête suisse Gaysurvey sur les comportements des HSH s est déroulée en 202 (N=964), par questionnaire Internet, anonyme, accessible sur différents sites fréquentés par des HSH. Trois dimensions de la santé mentale ont été évaluées avec les indicateurs suivants : détresse psychologique (échelle K6) niveau de bien-être psychologique (WHO-5) homonégativité intériorisée (Smolenski et al. 200). Les scores moyens ont été comparés entre 3 groupes d âge : <25 ans, ans, 35 ans. Ils ont également été calculés en fonction de l exposition au risque VIH (rapport anal non protégé avec un partenaire de statut sérologique différent ou inconnu au cours des 2 derniers mois) et du recours au test VIH au cours des 2 derniers mois. Résultats Détresse psychologique : score de 0(Jamais) à 24(Tout le temps en détresse) Caractéristiques de la distribution : skewness(sk)=0.97, médiane(md)=6, mode(mo)=3..% des HSH sont dans une situation de détresse sévère (score 3 selon la littérature). Bien-être psychologique : score de 0(Jamais) à 00(Tout le temps en bien-être) Caractéristiques de la distribution : Sk=-0.599, Md=64, Mo= % ont un score inférieur ou égal à 52 indiquant un bien-être altéré et 9.% sont en probable dépression (score 28). Homonégativité intériorisée : score de (forte) à 7(faible homonégativité) Caractéristiques de la distribution : Sk=-.93, Md=6, Mo=7. 9.0% ont une forte homonégativité intériorisée (score<4.86, er quintile). Les moins de 25 ans ont un score plus élevé sur l échelle de détresse psychologique (F 0.05=9.899, p=0.000) et ont un score de bien-être inférieur (F 0.05=8.597, p=0.000) par rapport aux plus âgés. On n observe pas de différence en fonction de l âge pour l homonégativité intériorisée (F 0.05=0.844, p=0.430). Les HSH ayant pris un risque VIH au cours des 2 derniers mois ont un score de détresse psychologique légèrement supérieur et ont un score de bien-être inférieur à ceux qui ne se sont pas exposés au risque VIH (différences statistiquement significatives). L'homonégativité intériorisée est associée à un recours plus faible au test VIH. Conclusion La fréquence des atteintes à la santé mentale est non négligeable chez les HSH. Ces atteintes sont associées au risque et au moindre recours au test VIH, et doivent être prises en compte dans la prévention du VIH/Sida chez les HSH. 5
