3 Einführung Sehr geehrter Kunde, wir bedanken uns für den Kauf des Mini-Fiberlight! Der Aufbau entspricht der Schutzklasse II und erfüllt die Anforderungen der geltenden europäischen und nationalen Richtlinien (Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG). Die Konformität wurde nachgewiesen, die entsprechenden Erklärungen und Unterlagen sind beim Hersteller hinterlegt. Um diesen Zustand zu erhalten und einen gefahrlosen Betrieb sicherzustellen müssen Sie als Anwender diese Bedienungsanleitung beachten! Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Das Mini-Fiberlight erzeugt den klassischen Lichtleitfasereffekt. Ein Leuchtmittel (25 mm Halogenreflektorlampe, 12 Volt, 10 Watt), sowie eine sich drehende Farbscheibe erzeugen unzählige Farbunterschiede. Die Länge des Fiberbüschels beträgt ca. 1,5 m. Das Mini-Fiberlight kann so arrangiert werden, daß z.b. der klassische "Sternenhimmel-Effekt zustande kommt. Das Mini-Fiberlight ist nur für den Anschluß über beiliegendes Steckernetzgerät an 230 Volt / 50 Hz (10/16A) Wechselspannung zugelassen! Als Spannungsquelle darf daher nur eine 230 Volt Netzsteckdose des öffentlichen Versorgungsnetzes verwendet werden! Versuchen Sie niemals das Mini-Fiberlight mit einer anderen Spannung zu betreiben! Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen Räumen, also nicht im Freien, erlaubt! Der Aufstellort muß so gewählt werden, daß das Mini-Fiberlight vor Feuchtigkeit, starker Verschmutzung und zu starker Erwärmung geschützt ist! Eine andere Verwendung als zuvor beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung dieses Produktes, darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluß, Brand, elektrischer Schlag, etc. verbunden. Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert, bzw. umgebaut und das Gehäuse nicht geöffnet werden! Die Sicherheitshinweise und technischen Daten sind unbedingt zu beachten! 18 3

4 Sicherheitshinweise Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung verursacht werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch! Für Folgeschäden übernehmen wir keine Haftung! Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder Nichtbeachten der Sicherheitshinweise verursacht werden, übernehmen wir keine Haftung! In solchen Fällen erlischt jeglicher Garantieanspruch! Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern des Mini-Fiberlights nicht gestattet! Das Steckernetzgerät darf nicht mit nassen Händen ein- oder ausgesteckt werden! Platzieren Sie das Mini-Fiberlight niemals in der Nähe von brennbaren bzw. leicht entzündlichen Materialien, z.b. Vorhänge! Setzen Sie,zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit, das Mini-Fiberlight keiner direkten Sonneneinstrahlung, Erschütterungen, hohen Temperaturen, starken Vibrationen oder Feuchtigkeit, bzw. Nässe aus! Das Produkt muß auch in angemessener Entfernung, z.b. zu Motoren platziert werden! Überprüfen Sie, von Zeit zu Zeit, sowohl das Mini-Fiberlight, als auch das Steckernetzgerät auf Beschädigung(en)! Das Mini-Fiberlight gehört nicht in Kinderhände! Lassen Sie in Anwesenheit von Kindern besondere Vorsicht walten, insbesondere, wenn diese versuchen Gegenstände durch Gehäuseöffnungen ins Gerät zu stecken! Es besteht die Gefahr eines lebensgefährlichen elektrischen Schlages! In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische Anlagen und Betriebsmittel zu beachten! 1.Devissez les 4 vis cruciformes sur le côté du boîtier avec un tourne vis cruciforme approprié. Vous pouvez maintenant enlever le couvercle du boîtier et procéder au remplacement de la lampe halogène. 2. Ne touchez pas la lampe halogène neuve directement avec les doigts, la graisse cutanée pourrait endommager la lampe halogène. Utilisez à cet effet un chiffon propre. N utilisez qu une lampe halogène du même type! La puissance de la lampe halogène ne doit pas dépasser 12 Volt / 10 Watt. Insérez maintenant la nouvelle lampe halogène dans la douille. 3. Après le remplacement de la lampe halogène, refermez le boîtier en procédant dans l ordre inverse. Il est interdit de mettre la mini lampe à fibres optiques en service avec le boîtier ouvert! Ceci représente de gros risques d électrocution très dangereux! 4.Connectez à nouveau le bloc d alimentation secteur à la prise de courant du secteur. Nettoyage Attention! Tenez compte lors du nettoyage de la lampe des consignes de sécurité et retirez d abord la fiche de la prise de courant. Pour le nettoyage du boîtier utilisez un chiffon sec, non pelucheux. N utilisez pas de détergent! Caractéristiques techniques Schalten Sie das Mini-Fiberlight niemals gleich dann ein, wenn es von einem kalten in einen warmen Raum gebracht wurde! Das dabei entstandene Kondenswasser kann unter Umständen das Mini-Fiberlight zerstören. Lassen Sie das Mini-Fiberlight daher uneingeschaltet Zimmertemperatur anfnehmen! Beachten Sie beim Aufstellen des Mini-Fiberlights, daß die Anschlußleitung nicht gequetscht oder durch scharfe Kanten beschädigt wird! 5 Avertissement : Veillez à ne pas plier la botte de fibres! Ceci pourrait diminuer les effets de lumière. Montez maintenant, comme le montre l illustration suivante, les extrémités des différentes fibres de la botte de fibres, à l aide d une colle, sur une planche de bois par exemple. Vous pouvez arranger les différentes fibres de la botte de fibres selon vos souhaits ou votre fantaisie. Collez à l aide d une résine époxy Ziehen Sie bei Nichtbenutzung, bzw. vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose! Gießen Sie nie Flüssigkeiten über das Gehäuse aus! Sollte es dennoch zu einem solchen Fall kommen, ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann! Achten Sie auf eine ausreichende Belüftung des Gerätes! (Niemals abdecken!). Vermeiden Sie jede mechanische Beanspruchung! Verwenden Sie das Mini-Fiberlight nicht in Räumen oder bei widrigen Umgebungsbedingungen, wobei brennbare Gase, Dämpfe oder Stäube vorhanden sind oder vorhanden sein können! Beim Öffnen von Abdeckungen oder Entfernen von Teilen können spannungsführende Teile freigelegt werden. Es können auch Anschlußstellen spannungsführend sein. Vor einer Wartung, einer Instandsetzung oder einem Austausch von Teilen oder Baugruppen, muß das Mini-Fiberlight von der Netzspannung getrennt werden! Eine Wartung oder eine Reparatur an dem Mini-Fiberlight, darf nur durch eine FACHKRAFT erfolgen, die mit den damit verbundenen Gefahren, bzw. den einschlägigen Vorschriften vertraut ist! La mini lampe à fibres optiques est ainsi allumée. Pour l éteindre, débranchez le bloc d alimentation secteur de la prise de courant. Remplacer la lampe halogène Attention! Débranchez d abord le bloc d alimentation secteur de la prise de courant et retirez la botte de fibres du boîtier! La lampe halogène allumée est chaude! Afin d éviter un risque de brûlure, laissez la lampe halogène refroidir pendant 5 minutes avant de la remplacer. Tenez compte à cet effet les avertissements concernant la sécurité! Wenn anzunehmen ist, daß ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, so ist das Mini-Fiberlight außer Betrieb zu setzen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb zu sichern! Es ist anzunehmen, daß ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, wenn - das Mini-Fiberlight sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist - das Mini-Fiberlight nicht mehr funktioniert - eine längere Lagerung unter ungünstigen Verhältnissen stattgefunden hat oder - schwere Transportbeanspruchungen nicht auszuschließen sind. Inbetriebnahme Stellen Sie das Mini-Fiberlight auf eine ebene, stabile Fläche! Schrauben Sie anschließend das Fiberbüschel, mit dem durch einen Kunststoffring mit Gewinde versehenen Ende, in die runde Öffnung seitlich am Gehäuse! 16 5

6 HINWEIS: Achten Sie darauf, daß das Fiberbüschel nicht geknickt wird! Die Lichtleistung kann dadurch beeinträchtigt werden! Montieren Sie jetzt, wie nachfolgende Abbildung zeigt, die Enden der einzelnen Fasern des Fiberbüschels mittels Kleber, z.b. in ein Holzbrett! Die einzelnen Fasern des Fiberbüschels können Sie nach Ihren Wünschen, bzw. Phantasy anordnen. Mit Epoxytkleber festkleben Faites attention en mettant en place la mini lampe à fibres optiques à ne pas endommager les fils électriques en les coinçant ou en les abîmant sur une arête vive. (Ne le couvrez jamais!) Evitez toute sollicitation mécanique! N utilisez pas la mini lampe à fibres optiques dans des conditions contraires à son bon fonctionnement ou dans des pièces dans lesquelles des gaz inflammables, des vapeurs ou de la poussière se trouvent ou pourraient se trouver. Ouvrir des couvercles ou ôter des parties de l appareil peut avoir pour conséquence que des parties sous tension ne soient plus protégées. Les raccordements peuvent aussi se trouver sous tension. Stecken Sie nun den Klinkenstecker des Anschlußkabels in die Buchse des Steckernetzgerätes und anschließend das Steckernetzgerät in eine 230 Volt Netzsteckdose des öffentlichen Versorgungsnetzes und das Mini-Fiberlight ist eingeschaltet! Zum Ausschalten muß das Steckernetzgerät aus der Netzsteckdose gezogen werden! Lampenwechsel Achtung! Ziehen Sie zuerst das Steckernetzgerät aus der Steckdose und entfernen Sie die Fiberbüschel aus dem Gehäuse! Die eingeschaltete Halogenlampe ist heiß! Um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden lassen Sie die Halogenlampe ca. 5 Minuten abkühlen, bevor sie gewechselt wird! Beachten Sie hierzu auch die Sicherheitshinweise! Tout travail d entretien ou de réparation sur la mini lampe à fibres optiques ne peut être effectué que par du PER- SONNEL QUALIFIE connaissant les dangers et les prescriptions légales. S il est probable qu une utilisation sans danger n est plus possible, la mini lampe à fibres optiques doit être mise hors service et protégée contre toute utilisation involontaire. Une utilisation sans danger n est plus possible, si : - la mini lampe à fibres optiques présente des dommages visibles - la mini lampe ne fonctionne plus - après un long stockage dans des conditions défavorables ou - après des conditions de transport défavorables Mise en service Placez la mini lampe à fibres optiques sur une surface plane et stable. Vissez ensuite la botte de fibres par l extrémité pourvue d un anneau en plastique avec filetage dans l embouchure ronde qui se trouve sur le côté du boîtier. 6 15

7 Consignes de sécurité En cas de dommages dus à la non observation de ce mode d emploi, la validité de la garantie est annulée. Nous déclinons toute responsabilité pour d éventuels dommages consécutifs! Pour des raisons de sécurité et d homologation (CE), il est interdit de modifier la construction ou de transformer la mini lampe à fibres optiques soi-même! Il ne faut pas connecter ou déconnecter le bloc d alimentation secteur avec des mains mouillées! Ne jamais placer la mini lampe à fibres optiques à proximité de matériaux facilement inflammables tels des rideaux par exemple! 1. Lösen Sie an der Seite des Gehäuses die 4 Kreuzschlitzschrauben mit einem geeigneten Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher! Sie können nun den Gehäusedeckel abheben und den Lampenwechsel vornehmen! 2.Berühren Sie die neue Halogenlampe nicht direkt mit den Fingern, da das Fett der Haut die Halogenlampe beschädigen kann! Verwenden Sie dazu ein sauberes Tuch! Verwenden Sie nur eine Halogenlampe gleichen Typs! Die Halogenlampenleistung von 12 Volt / 10 Watt darf nicht überschritten werden! Setzen Sie nun die neue Halogenlampe in die Fassung! 3.Verschließen Sie nach dem Halogenlampenwechsel das Gehäuse wieder in umgekehrter Reihenfolge! Das Mini-Fiberlight darf in geöffnetem Zustand nicht betrieben werden! Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag! 4. Stecken Sie das Steckernetzgerät wieder in die Netzsteckdose! It is EMC-tested and meets the requirements of the low voltage guideline 73/23/ EEC. Therefore, it satisfies the standards of the established European and national guidelines. CE-conformity has been proved; the relevant documents are in the manufacturer s possession. We kindly request the user to respect this operating manual to preserve this condition and to ensure safe operation. Sa construction correspond à la classe de protection II et est conforme aux exigences des directives européennes et nationales en vigueur (compatibilité électromagnétique 89/ 336/CEE et directive sur les basses tensions 73/ 23/CEE). La conformité a été contrôlée, les actes déclaratifs et les documents correspondants ont été consignés auprès du fabricant. Afin de maintenir l appareil en bon état et d en assurer l exploitation sans risques, l utilisateur doit absolument tenir compte de et respecter ce mode d emploi! The mini fibre light can be placed in such a way that e.g. the classic "starry sky -effect is achieved. Restrictions d utilisation Cette mini lampe à fibres optiques crée l effet classique de conduction de la lumière sur fibres optiques. Une ampoule (lampe halogène à réflecteur de 25 mm 12 Volt, 10 Watt), ainsi qu un disque coloré tournant produisent d innombrables nuances de couleurs. La longueur de la botte de fibres est d environ 1,5 mètres. La mini lampe à fibres optiques peut être arrangée de manière à créer par exemple, l effet classique de «ciel parsemé d étoiles». The mini fibre light is only approved for connection to 230 volt/ 50Hz (10/ 16A) direct current with the supplied mains unit! As voltage source only a 230 volt mains socket of the public power supply may be used! Never try to operate the mini fibre light at a different voltage! The product should only be used indoors, not outdoors! The area of placement must provide sufficient protection from moisture, extra-ordinary soiling and too high temperatures for the mini fibre light! Any use other than the one described above damages the product. Moreover, this involves dangers such as e.g. short-circuit, burns, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt. Observe the safety instructions and technical data! Toute utilisation autre que celle stipulée ci-dessus provoque l endommagement de ce produit ainsi que des risques de courts-circuits, d incendies, d électrocution etc. Il n est permis ni de modifier le produit, ni de le transformer, ni d en ouvrir le boîtier! Il faut absolument tenir compte des avertissements concernant la sécurité et des données techniques! 8 13

Now lodge the new halogen lamp in the socket! 3.Close the casing after the exchange of the halogen lamp in the opposite sequence! The mini fibre light must not be operated when opened! This involves the danger of an electric shock! 4.Reconnect the mains unit to the mains socket! Cleaning Caution! Observe the safety instructions and pull the plug out of the socket! For cleaning use a dry, fluff-free cloth. Cleansing agents should not be used. We do not accept responsibility for such damage. Nor do we accept responsibility for damage to property or for personal injuries caused by improper use or non-observance of safety instructions. Guarantees will not be accepted in any such case. The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the mini fibre light is inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not touch the mains plug when your hands are wet. Never place the mini fibre light in the vicinity of easily flammable materials such as e.g. curtains! For your own safety protect the mini fibre light from direct insolation, shock, high temperatures, strong vibrations, moisture or humidity! The product has to be placed with sufficient distance to e.g. motors! Check once in a while whether the mini fibre light as well as the mains unit have been damaged! Keep the mini fibre light out of the reach of children! Be particularly watchful in the presence of children, especially if they are trying to insert objects through the openings of the casing into the device. This involves the danger of electric shock! Observe the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade association for electrical equipment and installations in industrial and commercial facilities. Never turn on the device immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room. Condensation water that forms might destroy your device. Leave the device switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature. When placing the mini fibre light make sure that the connecting cables are neither squeezed nor damaged by sharp edges! Before cleaning or when you are not using the device pull the mains plug out of the socket! Never pour liquids over the casing! This involves the danger of an electric shock! Should, nevertheless, occur such a case pull the mains plug immediately out of the socket and contact an expert! 12 9

10 Make sure that the device is sufficiently aired! (Do not cover it!) Fasten with epoxy Avoid any mechanical stress! Do not use the mini fibre light in rooms where flammable gases, fumes or dusts are or may be or under unfavourable conditions! When opening coverings or removing parts conducting parts may be uncovered. Leads may also be conducting. Before performing maintenance, overhauling or exchanging parts or subassemblies the mini fibre light has to be separated from the mains voltage! Repair may only be carried out by an expert who is familiar with the relevant regulations and the involved hazards. If there is room to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the product out of operation and secure it against any unintended operation. Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if - the mini fibre light exhibits visible damage - the mini fibre light does not operate any longer - the product was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or - the product was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport. Operation Place the mini fibre light on an even, stable surface! Then screw down the bunch of fibres which is equipped with a thread on a plastic ring into the round opening at the side of the casing! NOTE: Make sure that the bunch of fibres is not bent! The luminous power may be impaired! Now mount the ends of the individual fibres of the bunch with glue e.g. in a wooden board, as shown in the subsequent figure! The individual fibres of the bunch may be arranged in the way you wish or according to your imagination. Now plug the jack plug of the connecting cable in the socket of the mains unit and after that connect the mains unit to a 230 volt mains socket of the public power supply and the mini fibre light is switched on! For switching it off the mains unit has to be pulled out of the mains socket! Exchanging the Bulb Caution! First pull the mains unit out of the socket and remove the bunch of fibres from the casing! The operating halogen lamp is hot! In order to avoid burnings have the halogen lamp cooled down for app. 5 minutes before exchanging it! Observe the safety instructions! 1.Unscrew the 4 Philips screws at the bottom side of the casing with an appropriate screw driver for recessed head screws! You may now lift the covering of the casing and exchange the bulb! 2.Do not touch the new halogen lamp directly with your fingers as the grease of the skin might damage the halogen lamp!
