1 Leçon 5 - À Dakar Bonjour! Je m appelle Malika. Et moi, je m appelle Ousmane. Nous sommes étudiants à l Université de Dakar. J étudie la biologie et Ousmane est étudiant en informatique. Il est toujours très occupé avec son ordinateur. Mais non! J aime aussi la musique, le cinéma, le sport Je joue au basket et j adore jouer au foot. Tu ne joues pas très souvent. Tu préfères regarder les matchs à la télé. Tu exagères! J aime beaucoup l activité physique. Dans ce cas, est-ce que tu veux aller danser samedi? Underline all of the words you have difficulty pronouncing, then ask Dr. Schmidt to provide the correct pronunciation for those words. 2) Practice the 2 questions below and take turns with your partner to ask them 5 different times each by answering the questions with 5 different verbs per person to practice the new verb vocabulary on page 2. Please pay attention to the word order of subject, then verb in all of these questions. Use the Je form of the verb. La construction infinitive: J aime voyager. *Nous n aimons pas étudier. *La négation: sujet + (ne) + verbe principal + (pas) + infinitive 5) The sentences you are going to practice contain double verb constructions. That means that the first verb that follows the subject pronoun will always be conjugated, but the second verb will always remain unconjugated, which means that it will remain in its infinitive form. Ask your partner 5 different questions with 5 different double verb vocabulary combinations. Your partner will do the same. Write down your 5 questions and 5 answers below. L expression être d accord: Tu es d accord avec moi? 6) Ask your partner, and vice versa, if he/she agrees with a statement you just made in French to practice how you say you agree with a person in French, then write down the sentence you made as your statement. 6
