1 General Information Les personnes autour de moi partie 1 Teacher: Miss Johnson Grade level: 7 Program of Studies: French as a Second Language Nine-Year Program of Studies Extra Resource: French as a Second Language Nine-Year Program Articulation (Grade 7 to Grade 9) Context/content/title of the unit: Les personnes autour de moi Length of unit (number of classes and time period): 37 classes of ~50 minutes Overview of Unit Les personnes autour de moi partie 1 is a unit during which students will main individuals by whom they are surrounded. Students will do a brief review of the people within the school setting and then learn the vocabulary used to describe different family Students will further physical and personality traits of those people who surround them. The unit consists of five lessons, all of which are based around a concept. Students will be completing mini projects throughout the unit; these projects will enable the students to put into practice the language forms that they learn throughout the lessons. Students will learn the vocabulary related to the different parts of the face, and then learn the adjectives used to describe people s facial features. Students will continue to develop their knowledge of adjectival agreement and placement, as well as their understanding of the verb avoir.
