5 Note To Parents, Bonjour! Each student is given a French Club notebook their first semester to glue all the handouts that I give out. Each week, I give out a take home activity. They are not required, because I realize that the kids are busy with their homework, however they reinforce what we have done in class, and they are fun! When they bring in the completed activity, they get a stamp or sticker in the sticker chart. If the kids finish 12 take home activities, then they get a prize. Important : some of the activities have writing involved, but it is just fine if the parents do the activity with the kids and the parents do all the writing. Parents are allowed to sit in French Club if they would like, and they will have to participate as well! Occasionally I have (real) work that interferes with the French Club schedule and I will have to cancel class. This semester we are skipping the week of 9/24-9/26 because I will be out of town. I will give you a warning by if this comes up on any other dates. If school is ever canceled or there is a 2-hour delay due to weather, then French Club is canceled as well. If I don t get too busy at work, I will try to post the handouts I give out on the website, so if you miss a session, you can find out what went on. me as well, if you need it and I don t get it there fast enough.
