Incorrect reassembly can cause risk of electric shock when the ironing press is used. Close supervision is necessary when using your press with children around. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used. Never immerse the machine in water or other liquids. Use only cold water in the water tank. Do not put your hands between the steaming board and the heating plate while ironing. N utilisez cet appareil que pour l usage pour lequel il est prévu: le repassage. Avant de brancher l appareil, vérifiez que le voltage de votre installation correspond à celui inscrit sur la plaquette signalétique (sous le socle de la presse). Utilisez obligatoirement une prise de courant comportant une prise de terre, ceci pour votre sécurité. Ne jamais mettre ni retirer la fiche dans la prise avec des mains mouillées. Ne jamais débrancher l appareil en tirant sur le cordon d alimentation mais sur la fiche. Veillez à ce que le cordon d alimentation ne touche pas des surfaces chaudes ou arêtes tranchantes. Ne pas desassembler la presse. Contacter un service aprés vente agréé SINGER afin qu'il examine et répare l'appareil. Un mauvais assemblage peut entrainer des risques d'électrocution. Pentru reparatii este necesar sa incredintati aparatul atelierelor de service, pentru a fi reparat conform normelor indicate in aceasta brosura. Orice interventie a unei persoane neautorizate anuleaza garantia. Aparatul pe care l-ati cumparat este corespunzator prescriptiilor directivei europene 73/23/CEE referitoare la securitate, si directivei CEM 89/336/CEE referitoare la comaptibilitatea electromagnetica, amendata cu 93/68/CEE. SECURITY LOCK To prevent accidental opening, your ironing press is locking for safety. To unlock the press, turn the security lock selector towards the left-hand side (2). To lock the press, turn the selector towards the righthand side (1). 2. OPENING AND CLOSING THE PRESS The handle is used to open and close the heating plate. By bringing the handle down, the machine closes and the pressing pressure increases until it automatically engages at maximum pressure (45 kilos). The handle allows the automatic steam emission. Always hold the handle while opening. 3. MAXIMUM OPENING To obtain maximum opening of the press: open the press and continue pushing the handle upwards. The maximum opening position allows large items to be pressed easily. The heating plate returns automatically to its original position when lowering the handle. 4. Pour déverrouiller la presse, tournez le bouton de fermeture de sécurité vers la gauche (2). Pour verrouiller la presse, descendez la poignée et tournez le bouton vers la droite (1). 2. OUVERTURE ET FERMETURE DE LA PRESSE La poignée sert à fermer et ouvrir la semelle chauffante. En la levant, la pression est relachée et l'appareil s'ouvre. En l'abaissant l'appareil se ferme et la pression augmente jusqu'à atteindre les 45 kilos. La poignée permet la commande automatique de la vapeur. Accompagnez toujours la poignée vers le haut à l'aide de la main. 3. OUVERTURE MAXIMUM Pour une plus grande ouverture de la presse : ouvrez la presse et continuez à pousser la poignée vers le haut. La table vaporisante se dégage et peut être utilisée comme une planche classique. La grande ouverture permet une manipulation plus aisée des grandes pièces et s'utilise également à l'occasion du pliage du linge. Le plateau chauffant reprendra automatiquement sa place en redescendant la poignée. 4. REMPLISSAGE DU RESERVOIR D'EAU - Tirez le réservoir d'eau vers vous. - Remplissez doucement le réservoir sans déborder. Masa presei cu aburi poate fi utilizata ca o masa de calcat clasica. Deschiderea mare permite o manipulare mai usoara a pieselor textile mari si plierea lenjeriei. UMPLEREA REZERVORULUI CU APA - Trageti de rezervor inspre dvs. - Umpleti incet rezervorul fara sa dea pe dinafara - Impingeti rezervorul la loc in pozitia initiala - Cand nivelul apei scade in rezervor, adaugati incet apa. ATTENTION : Ne jamais demander de vapeur quand il n y a plus d eau dans le réservoir. Vous risqueriez d'endommager la pompe. Ne jamais remplir le réservoir avec de l'eau chaude. Ne jamais ajouter à l'eau des produits à base d'alcool ou d'essence (parfum, eau de Cologne, essence de lavande, etc.) ATENTIE: Nu utilizati aburi cand nivelul apei este pe minim in rezervor deoarece se poate strica pompa. To plug in the ironing press - Connect the supply cord to the plug at the rear of the press. - Connect the supply cord to the socket outlet and switch on. 6. Temperature control - Having switched on your press, the temperature signal lamp will light at the same time. - The temperature signal lamp goes out when the temperature corresponding to the selected position on the thermostat is reached. It lights and goes out regularly during the ironing operation. CAUTION : the signal lamp will not light when the thermostat is on. 7. Selecting the proper temperature The quality of pressing depends partly on the quantity of the steam you use and partly on using a suitable heat. Branchement - Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans la prise sur l'arrière de la presse. - Branchez le cordon d'alimentation au secteur et allumez la presse. 6. Contrôle de température - Simultanément à la mise en chauffe de votre presse, le voyant témoin de température s'allume. - Le voyant témoin de température s'éteint lorsque la température correspondant à la sélection faite sur le thermostat est atteinte. Il s'allume et s'éteint régulièrement pendant le repassage. 7. Réglage du thermostat La qualité du repassage est fonction d'une part de la quantité de vapeur et d'autre part de l'utilisation de la chaleur adaptée. Les vêtements à repasser portent de plus en plus une signalisation symbolique pour les températures de repassage: Température minimum Température moyenne Température maximum Ces points de signalisation se trouvent sur le bouton du thermostat de la machine. Tournez le thermostat jusqu'à la position correspondant au linge à repasser et aux symboles des étiquettes des vêtements. PRESSING Lower the heating plate using the handle. In the half closed position steam will automatically be generated for as long as required. Close the press in order to obtain the automatic pressure. Leave the press closed a few seconds in order to dry and press the linen. Open the press by lifting the handle. Do not push the handle more than normal when closing the press: the pressure is automatic. ELECTRICAL SAFETY If the press is plugged in and closed for about 10 seconds, the electrical heating is automatically cut off. Opening the press, the electrical heating switches on again automatically. 10. BOOSTER FUNCTION A. Constant steam : Steam button out. Lower the upper ironing plate mid-way to automatically obtain steam. B. Booster function : Steam button pushed in. When you lower the upper plate, there will be a high surge of steam. This is the automatic Booster effect. Close the press to iron the garment, and just re-opening the press will be enough to automatically re-set the press to Booster function. 11. EASY TO CARRY It is easy to carry and store the machine. Ensure you lock the machine before carrying it by the handle. 12. STORING When you have finished your ironing operation, unplug the appliance from the mains socket. Let the press cool down for about 30 minutes, before closing it. You can store the press vertically without emptying the water reservoir. Do not turn the press on its back, as the water reservoir would empty.

REPASSAGE En position demi-fermée la vapeur sera émise automatiquement aussi longtemps que nécessaire. Fermez la presse pour obtenir la pression automatique de repassage. Maintenez la machine fermée quelques secondes pour sécher et presser votre linge. Ouvrez en remontant la poignée. Quand la presse est fermée, il ne faut pas appuyer sur la poignée car la pression est automatique. SECURITÉ ÉLECTRIQUE Un dispositif de sécurité coupe automatiquement l'alimentation électrique lorsque votre presse est branchée et fermée pendant plus de 10 secondes. En ouvrant votre presse, le courant est de nouveau rétabli automatiquement. 10. FONCTION BOOSTER A. Vapeur constante, bouton vapeur éteint Abaisser la semelle supérieur à mi-hauteur afin d'obtenir de la vapeur automatiquement B. Prenez soin de la verrouiller avant de la saisir par la poignée. 12. RANGEMENT Après le repassage, débrancher votre presse et la laisser refroidir environ 30 minutes avant de la fermer. Vous pouvez ranger votre presse à la verticale sans vider le contenu du réservoir. Ne mettez pas la presse sur son dos car l'eau du réservoir s écoulerait. 8. MAINTENANCE CLEANING To keep your press perfectly clean wash the outside parts with slightly soapy water and carefully wipe it off with a soft cloth. 13. THE FOAM After extensive use, the padding under the pressing cover will be compressed, affecting the quality of your pressing. This should be replaced at any SINGER Service. 13. THE COVER Make sure that the cover is always tight enough so that it does not make pleats. It may be washed up to 40 C. Avoid mixing it with white linen. If it shows signs of wear it must be replaced. 14. HEATING PLATE The starches in fabrics, residues of cleaning products and particles of yarn fibres can gradually cause spots on the heating plate. To remove these, rub the heating plate while still warm with a soft cloth which does not leave fluff. Do not use scouring powders, alkalines (e.g. for ovens), abrasives or steel wool. For insisting marks, use the special stick that you can obtain at any SINGER Service THE WATER RESERVOIR The water reservoir can be removed if necessary, to rinse or empty it. Close and lock the press. Stand it upright. 1. Turn the lock down. 2. Open the reservoir. 3. Clear the reservoir towards the left-hand side. 4. Remove the small rubber tube from the socket. To put the reservoir back, proceed in the reverse way. CAUTION: WHEN REPLACING THE WATER RESERVOIR, ENSURE THAT THE TUBE WHICH CONNECTS THE RESERVOIR TO THE MACHINE IS NOT BENT. LA MOUSSE Par suite d'utilisation intensive de longue durée de la presse, la mousse de rembourrage peut s'aplatir, ce qui influence défavorablement le résultat du repassage. Il sera donc nécessaire de la remplacer. 13. LA HOUSSE Veillez à ce que la housse soit toujours correctement tendue pour qu'elle ne forme pas de plis. Elle peut être lavée facilement à 40 C. Détachez le petit tuyau caoutchouc de son embout. Pour remettre le réservoir en place, procédez en sens inverse. Daca s-a uzat trebuie inlocuita. 14. PLATOUL CALD SI TALPA FIERULUI Apreturile din tesaturi, reziduurile de produse de spalat, scamele, se pot depune pe talpa fierului. Daca este necesar, frecati talpa inca calda cu o carpa care nu lasa puf. Pentru o mai buna curatare, folositi un baton sau o carpa de curatat fierul. La fiecare umplere a rezervorului, controlati starea casetei anticalcar. Cu apa demineralizata: Caseta trebuie supravegheata si inlocuita la fel ca mai sus. La un uzaj familial si daca nu folositi decat apa demineralizata, caseta va dura cca. 1 an. Intretinerea generatorului de abur. Daca respectati cu exactitate sfaturile din aceasta brosura (utilizarea casetei anticalcar si a apei demineralizate) aparatul nu se va intartra. Daca din contra, nu respectati aceste recomandari, aceasta antreneaza intartrarea mai mult sau mai putin rapida a sistemului de generare a aburului.
