A dialog box appears allowing you to create a new site or to edit the selected one. 2. Click on to create the new site, a dialog box appears, 3. Validate the site creation by clicking on

Click on the «Loading» icon and open the Site templates tab 3. Click on to create an empty loading template 4. Enter the name, the diameter and the depht in the correspondent fields 5. Confirm by clicking on Take care, the fields diameter and depth can be edited only on this window and can t be edited after the loading has begun.

Select your site in the BM screen 2. Click on New Blast, a new blast appears in the list below 3. Directly in the table, change the name as you wish 4. You can change the date, hour and add a comment in the column Comment 5. Choose the site then the blast 6. Click on Design in order to access the design tool

Description of the I-Blast design tool Main menu allows the access to the I-Blast main functions DNA-Blast: Give access to option tools and to the Blast Management screen Display: Allow or not the display of blast information (holes number, initiation sequence, zone, etc.). A Design: Give access to creation tools (create holes, import holes, etc.) Records : Allow you to add or consult a seismic record related to the current blast Analyze: Allows you to control your blast, make numerous checks. You can also define the attenuation law of the site here. Simulate: Give you access to the simulation options Optimized: Give you access to Quick cast timing ; P wave calibration and other optimization tools.

A group of selected holes can be moved toward the cardinal points, you can apply them a rotation, or move them to a particular point by indicating the coordinates of this point. In Design click on Move selected holes,

After selecting the hole(s), fill the fields X, Y and Z in the bottom of the Create drilling pattern box. Then click on to validateate the coordinates

Select the holes you want to delete from your blast conception 2. Then click on the Delete selection icon. 3. You can also delete the empty holes by clicking on the «Delete empty» icon. 4. In these two cases you have to validate the deletion by clicking on or on to cancel your action and not delete the holes.

Fill the field «Inter hole delay» (try with 25 ms for this example). 3. Click on to define the wiring. 4. Click on the first hole of your futur wiring.

You can use this functionality to make your wiring easily by defining an entire row with only two clicks. 7. Click on the first hole of your row. 8. Then click on the last hole of the same row. You can observe that all the holes between this two have been taken in the wiring.

CREATE AN ANCHOR POINT Anytime during the wiring conception you can create an anchor point by clicking on an empty area of your blast. When you click on an empty area, a dialog box appear : Click on to confirm the creation of the anchor point iii. WIRING REFRESH You can refresh absolute time sequence for any holes by clicking on iv. DELETE THE TIME SEQUENCE To cancel the time sequence, click on Take care: It will delete all your time sequence

After you create your time sequence you can save it as a «scenario» in the Scenario tab 2. Tick a number wich is the saving slot of your scenario 3. Add a name by filling the empty field of the box (here «Sequence 25/50»). 4. Click on done : to save it, a dialog box appear to confirm your save is 5. Click on to confirm 6. All used saving slots appear in orange and their name appear in the field commentary To load a time sequence, 1. In the "Scenario" tab 2. Select the slot with the scenario you want to apply to your blast 3. Click on to use this scenario 4. No dialog box will appear this time, but the wiring will appear on your blast.

CREATE A ZONE FOR VIBRATION ANALYSIS PURPOSE a) ZONES AROUND YOUR BLAST Zones A to H are several default zones you can active by ticking «activate» under their name. These zones will appear around your blast as showed in the zones window in I-Blast. In the example only the A, B, C and H zones have been activated. You can define the size of the zones by filling the corresponding field. b) ISOLATED SQUARE ZONE In the tab Square Zone, on the bottom of the window you can notice a field named Name. 1. Fill the field with the name you want to give to the new square zone 2. Click on 3. Then click on the aera where you want to put your zone

ZONE SELECTION You can select a zone by clicking on it on your blast conception When you do that the Zones window get the Set up tab appear, so you can access directly the features of your zone. You can also modify them by filling the appropriate field as you wish. Another way to select a zone is to click on the List tab in the Zones window 1. Click on the zone you want to select in the list 2. The Zones window come back directly in the Set up tab 3. You can now modify the different features of the selected zone

CHANGE ZONES FEATURES In the Set up tab you have access to the selected zone s features, you can change them here. XYZ coordinates match at the center of the selected zone. Take care: when you put a zone on a blast design you define a X and a Y but not any Z. You have to modify the zone to put an altitude value By default the zone is a square with a length and a width equal to 10 meters and a 5 meters mesh. To display this mesh you just have to tick Display mesh under the field containing mesh value. You can fill these three fields with the values of your choice. Click on to apply the modifications. K, Alpha and P wave are I-Blast default values. You have to put your own value to define the site features correctly. Click on to apply the modifications. You can attach the zone to the site by clicking on. If you create a new blast design for this site, I-Blast will ask you if you want to use the attached zones in your new blast conception. You can rotate a zone as same as you do for your blast previously Click on to confirm the modification you wish to apply on the selected zone. Every zones are independent, so you have to modify them one by one. Tip : By holding the SHIFT key when you click on a zone and drag the mouse you can move a zone directly on the blast conception.

Now, you have to indicate the different record s features. 1. First, fill the fields Reference Distance and Reference charge In this example we take a Reference charge of 75kg and the Reference distance will be automatically set by I-Blast when you choose the record s zone in the drop down menu Zone. 2. You can valid each feature by using the enter key of your keyboard. 3. Type menu: You can choose between a Full Blast record or a Single Hole record. 4. Zone: You can choose between all the zone you created in your blast. 5. Info : Add here additional information linked to this record 3. Then click on to add the seismic record

In one of the three ways, use your mouse to define a zoom zone on the record (drag and drop) 8. You can repeat this action to go further and go back to initial zoom by holding CTRL and 0 on your keyboard 9. Then click on to import.
