Installation Please confirm that your computer is installed with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP before installing the PC camera. If not, please install the proper operating system. Insert the PC camera CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation should run automatically. Select START and click OK at the end to complete the installation. 5. Description Click Install Camera Driver to install the driver. Select the model to be installed : the model is mentioned on the packaging. Select M6XXX for the CAMUSB1 or CAMUSB2 7. For Windows 98/ME/2000 Driver Installation Follow the instructions in each dialogue box. Select the language you want to use and then click OK. Click OK in the next dialogue box to install the camera drivers. Click OK in the next dialogue box (installation camera drivers is complete). Click OK again to restart your computer or click Cancel to return to Windows without restarting. After restarting your computer, plug the camera into your computer s USB port and complete the installation. 2

3 8. For Windows XP Driver Installation Follow the instructions in each dialogue box. Plug the camera into your computer s USB port. Click NEXT and then complete the installation by clicking OK. 9. Installing the Application Programmes a) Installing SmartCam 2.1 Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive to activate the autorun feature. Click Install SmartCam 2.1. b) Installing Ulead Photo Express Click Install Ulead Photo Express once the installation programme has been activated. c) Installing Ulead Photo Explorer Click Install Ulead Photo Explorer once the installation programme has been activated. d) Installing Ulead Photo Cool 360 Click Install Ulead Photo Cool 360 once the installation programme has been activated. Note : Some characters may be displayed as random codes during installation because the user s mother tongue is not English. This is perfectly normal. Install the software again or contact your dealer if the software does not work after the installation. 10. Included Software a) SmartCam : the software provides functions such as video recording, still image capture, motion detection, CCTV and videomail. The SmartCam software consists of : Amcap : basic inspection programme for users to verify whether the USB camera is working properly PhotoBrowser : basic instant photo browsing, supports JPEG and BMP format. VideoMail : s become more than text and graphics. VideoMonitor : for the recording and reproduction of moving images and graphics. b) Ulead Photo Express : a tool for image editing and producing personal art works e.g. calendars, postcards, etc. c) Ulead Photo Explorer : fast and effective image management. d) Ulead Cool 360 : a fast, effective and simple system for image/audio/video management that automatically pastes different images together to obtain a 360 view. 3

Troubleshooting PROBLEM The camera does not display a picture after being connected to the computer s USB port The image on the PC is blurred No image appears, not even when the application programme has been activated. The operation method of the shutter button on the camera The images (frame rate) slow down when viewing in VGA mode (640 x 480 pixels) The images display black shadows A warning is displayed when you install the camera under Windows XP An error occurs when installing SmartCam 2.1 SOLUTION Make sure that both ends of the USB connector are properly connected. Exit the programme. Disconnect and reconnect the device to the PC. Restart the programme. Make sure you have installed the driver. Adjust the focus of the lens or consult your dealer Clean the camera lens Make sure the USB connection is solid Verify whether the application programme has selected the correct imaging device and check the related settings. Read 9. Installing the Application programmes. Close the application programme, unplug and replug the camera and restart the application programme. This button only supports a TWAIN interface. Select File, Select Scanner, STV0672 Camera, OK Select File, Scan New. The button on the hardware has the same effect as the capture button in the dialogue box. This is because the volume of the transmission data will be larger in the VGA mode. Upgrade the computer hardware (graphical card) to improve the performance. Reset the display adapter as 24 bits or 32 bits True Color The first versions of Windows XP may carry this warning. In the meantime, Microsoft has approved the product. Simply click continue. Beschrijving (zie figuren blz. 2) Klik op Install Camera Driver om de driver te installeren. Selecteer het model dat u wilt installeren : u vindt de naam van het model op de verpakking. Selecteer M6XXX voor de CAMUSB1 of CAMUSB2. 7. Windows 98/ME/2000 driver installeren Volg de instructies in elk dialoogvenster. Selecteer de gewenste taal en klik op OK. Klik op OK in het volgende dialoogvenster om de drivers voor de camera te installeren. Klik op OK in het volgende dialoogvenster (installatie van de camera drivers is voltooid). Klik weer op OK om uw computer te herstarten of click op Cancel om terug te keren naar Windows zonder uw computer opnieuw op te starten. Start uw computer weer op, sluit de het toestel aan op uw computer via de USB kabel en vervolledig de installatie. 8. Windows XP driver installeren Volg de instructies in elk dialoogvenster. Sluit de camera aan op de USB poort van uw computer. Klik op NEXT en klik op OK om de installatie te vervolledigen. 9. Applicatieprogramma s installeren a) SmartCam 2.1 installeren Stop de CD in de CD-ROM drive om de automatische installatie op te starten. Klik op Install SmartCam 2.1. b) Ulead Photo Express installeren Klik op Install Ulead Photo Express wanneer het installeringsprogramma geactiveerd is. c) Ulead Photo Explorer installeren Klik op Install Ulead Photo Explorer wanneer het installeringsprogramma geactiveerd is. d) Ulead Photo Cool 360 installeren Klik op Install Ulead Photo Cool 360 wanneer het installatieprogramma geactiveerd is. Opmerking : Sommige karakters worden tijdens de installatie misschien weergegeven als willekeurige codes omdat uw moedertaal niet het Engels is. Dit is volkomen normaal. Herinstalleer de software of neem contact op met uw kleinhandelaar indien de geïnstalleerde software niet werkt. 6

7 10. Meegeleverde Software a) SmartCam : stelt een aantal functies ter beschikking : videogrammen, opname stilstaand beeld, detectie van beweging, CCTV en videomail. De SmartCam software bestaat uit : Amcap : testprogramma om de werking van de USB camera te controleren PhotoBrowser : geschikt om JPEG en BMP files te bekijken. VideoMail : s worden meer dan enkel tekst en grafische voorstellingen. VideoMonitor : voor opname en weergave van bewegende beelden en grafische voorstellingen b) Ulead Photo Express : om beelden te bewerken en zelf uw eigen kunstwerkjes te maken bv. kalenders, briefkaarten, enz. c) Ulead Photo Explorer : snelle en effectieve beeldbehandeling. d) Ulead Cool 360 : een snel, efficiënt en eenvoudig systeem om verschillende beelden samen te voegen tot één beeld van Problemen en oplossingen PROBLEEM De camera geeft geen beeld weer nadat hij werd aangesloten op de USB poort van de computer Het beeld op de pc is wazig Er verschijnt geen beeld, zelfs niet wanneer het applicatieprogramma wordt opgestart. De bediening van de sluiterknop op de camera De beeldsnelheid vermindert wanneer het toestel zich in VGA mode bevindt (640 x 480 pixels) De beelden vertonen zwarte schaduw Een waarschuwing verschijnt wanneer u de camera installeert onder Windows XP U krijgt een foutmelding wanneer u SmartCam 2.1 installeert. OPLOSSING Ga na of beide uiteinden van de USB connector goed zijn aangebracht Verlaat het programma. Ontkoppel het toestel en sluit het terug aan op de PC. Herstart het programma. Ga na of u de driver wel heeft geïnstalleerd. Pas de lensfocus aan of raadpleeg uw kleinhandelaar. Veeg de lens schoon. Controleer de USB aansluiting. Ga na of het applicatieprogramma het correcte toestel heeft geselecteerd en controleer de instellingen. Lees 9. Applicatieprogramma s installeren. Sluit het applicatieprogramma, ontkoppel de camera en sluit hem dan weer aan en herstart het applicatieprogramma. Deze knop werkt enkel met een TWAIN interface Selecteer File, Selecteer Scanner, STV0672 Camera, OK Selecteer File, Scan New. De knop op de hardware heeft hetzelfde effect als de capture knop in het dialoogvenster. Dit wordt veroorzaakt door het groter volume van de data in de VGA mode. Verzwaar uw computer (grafische kaart) om de beeldsnelheid te verhogen Reset de displayadapter als 24 bits of 32 bits True Color Bij de vroegste versies van Windows XP kan deze waarschuwing verschijnen. Microsoft heeft het product ondertussen goedgekeurd. Klik gewoon op continue. Update uw DirectX tot versie 6.0 of beter en herinstalleer DirectX. De inhoud van deze handleiding kan worden gewijzigd zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving. 7

Sélectionnez M6XXX pour la CAMUSB1 ou CAMUSB2. 7. Installation du pilote Windows 98/ME/2000 Suivez les instructions de chaque boîte de dialogue. Sélectionnez la langue souhaitée et cliquez sur OK. Cliquez sur OK dans la boîte de dialogue suivante pour installer les pilotes pour la caméra. Cliquez sur OK dans la boîte de dialogue suivante (installation des pilotes est complétée). Cliquez sur OK pour redémarrer votre ordinateur ou cliquez sur Cancel pour retourner vers Windows sans redémarrer votre ordinateur. Redémarrez votre ordinateur, branchez l appareil sur votre ordinateur avec le câble USB et complétez l installation. 8. Installation du pilote Windows XP Suivez les instructions dans chaque boîte de dialogue. Branchez la caméra au port USB de votre ordinateur. Cliquez sur NEXT et puis sur OK pour compléter l installation. 9. Cliquez sur Install SmartCam 2.1. b) Installer Ulead Photo Express Cliquez sur Install Ulead Photo Express quand le logiciel d installation est activé. c) Installer Ulead Photo Explorer Cliquez sur Install Ulead Photo Explorer quand le logiciel d installation est activé. 9

10 d) Installer Ulead Photo Cool 360 Cliquez sur Install Ulead Photo Cool 360 quand le logiciel d installation est activé. Remarque : Si votre langue maternelle n est pas l anglais, il se peut que certains caractères soient affichés sous forme de codes arbitraires pendant l installation. Ceci est normal. Réinstallez le logiciel ou contactez votre détaillant dans le cas où le logiciel installé ne marcherait pas. 10. Logiciel inclus a) SmartCam : offre des applications spécifiques : vidéogrammes, enregistrement d images stationnaires, détection de mouvement, CCTV et vidéomail. Le logiciel SmartCam consiste en : Amcap : programme d essai pour contrôler le fonctionnement de la caméra USB. PhotoBrowser : permet de regarder des fichiers JPEG et BMP. VideoMail : vos s deviennent plus qu un simple texte. VideoMonitor : pour l enregistrement et la reproduction d images bougeantes et de graphiques. b) Ulead Photo Express : pour le traitement d images. Créez votre propre calendrier, vos cartes postales, etc c) Ulead Photo Explorer : traitement rapide et efficace d images. d) Ulead Cool 360 : un système efficace, rapide et simple, permettant de coller ensemble plusieurs images juxtaposées. Le résultat est une seule image de Problèmes et solutions PROBLEME La caméra n affiche pas d image, bien qu elle est connectée sur le port USB de l ordinateur L image sur le moniteur du pc est vague L image n est pas affichée, même pas quand le logiciel d application est démarré. L opération du bouton de l obturateur sur la caméra La vitesse des images diminue lorsque l appareil est en mode VGA (640 x 480 pixels) SOLUTION Contrôlez si les deux extrémités du connecteur USB sont bien connectées Quittez le programme. Déconnectez l appareil et reconnectez-le. Redémarrez le programme. Vérifiez si vous avez installé le pilote Ajustez la focale ou consultez votre détaillant. Essuyez la lentille Contrôlez la connexion USB. Vérifiez si le logiciel d application a sélectionné l appareil approprié et contrôlez les réglages. Lisez 9. Installer le logiciel d application. Fermez le programme d application, déconnectez la caméra, rebranchez-là et redémarrez le programme d application Ce bouton n accepte qu une interface TWAIN Sélectionnez File, sélectionnez Scanner, STV0672 Camera, OK Sélectionne File, Scan New. Le bouton sur le matériel à le même effet que le bouton capture dans la boîte de dialogue Ceci est dû au volume des données, qui st plus important en mode VGA.
