Les potentialités de la symbiose mycorhizienne arbusculaire en termes de phytoremédiation (Rhizo/phytodégradation, phytostabilisation) et de protection des plantes contre le stress induit par divers polluants (hydrocarbures, dioxines, éléments traces métalliques) ou agents phytopathogènes sont étudiées, de l échelle du laboratoire (cultures in vitro et en microcosmes) à celle des sites ateliers. L élucidation des mécanismes impliqués fait appel à des approches à la fois cytologiques, biochimiques et moléculaires (stress oxydant, génotoxicité, métabolisme lipidique). Un intérêt particulier est également porté à l étude de l écotoxicité des polluants sur les plantes et la flore microbienne bénéfique du sol (marqueurs lipidiques, enzymatiques et génotoxiques).
