La norme DECT permet des conversations téléphoniques dépourvues de toute interférence. Utilisation prévue Cet appareil appartient au secteur des télécommunications. L appareil peut être connecté au réseau de téléphonie analogique. Afin de pouvoir utiliser le téléphone, il faut d abord l installer correctement. Indicateur de niveau des piles Avant de commencer Connexion du combiné téléphonique Connectez le combiné téléphonique sur le côté gauche de la base, tel que représenté sur la figure. Branchement de la base Vous trouverez une illustration des composants mentionnés ci-dessous dans la section Contenu de l'emballage à la page 6. Branchez l adaptateur secteur [A] sur une prise de courant. Connectez la fiche à la prise d adaptateur secteur [32] à l arrière de la base [B]. Utilisez le cordon téléphonique [F] fourni pour raccorder la prise de cordon téléphonique [33] située à l arrière de la base [B] à la prise de téléphone murale. Français - 15

Fixation de la base au mur Vous pouvez également fixer la base sur un mur. Procédez comme suit : Percez dans le mur deux trous espacés de 102 mm dans le sens vertical. Insérez des chevilles adéquates dans les trous. Insérez des vis adaptées dans les chevilles et vissez-les jusqu à ce qu elles dépassent d environ 5 mm du mur. Accrochez la base [B] sur les têtes des vis et tirez-la vers le bas jusqu à ce qu elle soit bien fixée. Tournez le clip d accrochage du combiné téléphonique [30] de la base [D] de 180 afin de pouvoir accrocher le combiné. Si vous vous souhaitez poser le combiné pendant une conversation téléphonique sans mettre fin à cette dernière, vous pouvez le poser sur le support de combiné [31] de la base [B]. Branchement du socle de chargement En utilisant l'adaptateur secteur [C], raccordez la prise d'alimentation du socle de chargement à une prise murale. Insertion des piles dans le combiné Ouvrez le compartiment des piles en appuyant doucement sur le creux du couvercle du compartiment puis en faisant coulisser ce dernier vers le bas. Insérez les piles rechargeables dans le combiné [D], comme illustré sur la figure ci-dessous. Veillez à respecter la polarité indiquée (+ et ) lors de l insertion des piles dans le combiné [D]. La polarité est indiquée sur les piles ainsi qu à l intérieur du compartiment des piles. Refermez ensuite le couvercle du compartiment de la batterie. Chargement des piles Une fois les piles insérées dans le combiné [D], elles doivent être chargées en utilisant le socle de chargement avec l adaptateur secteur [C] pendant au moins 16 heures avant d utiliser le combiné pour la première fois. Pendant le chargement, le voyant de charge [35] s'allume. Les piles sont livrées non chargées. Prise en main Sélection de la langue des menus Vous pouvez définir la langue des menus du combiné et de la base de manière indépendante. La langue par défaut des menus dépend du pays où le téléphone a été acheté. Sélection de la langue des menus du combiné Pour définir la langue des menus du combiné, procédez comme suit : Sur le combiné en veille, appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] afin d afficher le menu. Le réglage sera appliqué à tous les combinés associés à la base. Réglage du format d affichage de l heure Par défaut, le format d affichage de l heure est le format «24 HEURES». Mais vous pouvez personnaliser le format d affichage de l heure sur la base en procédant comme suit : Sur la base en veille, appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [15] afin d afficher le menu. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [16] pour sélectionner l élément «HEURE». Appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [15] pour confirmer votre sélection. Pour distinguer l'heure anté-méridienne (matin) de l'heure post-méridienne (après-midi) lorsque vous avez choisi le mode d affichage 12 heures, la mention «PM» [17] apparaît lorsque l heure affichée est post-méridienne. Combiné - Menu Le combiné présente un menu facile à utiliser. Sur le combiné en veille, appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] afin d afficher le menu. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour naviguer dans le menu Appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] pour confirmer votre sélection. Appuyez sur la touche ESC/INT de la commande directionnelle [4] pour revenir en arrière d une étape à la fois. Appuyez sur la touche de fin d appel [5] pour quitter complètement le menu. Création d une nouvelle entrée Pour créer une nouvelle entrée, procédez comme suit : Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour sélectionner n importe quelle entrée du répertoire puis appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12]. Si le répertoire ne contient aucune entrée, seule l entrée «VIDE» est disponible. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour sélectionner l élément «NOUV ENTREE» puis appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] pour confirmer. Si le répertoire ne contient aucune entrée, seul l élément «NOUV ENTREE» est disponible dans le menu. «NOM?» apparaît à l'écran [2]. Saisissez ensuite le nom de votre choix à l'aide des touches numériques [6]. Utilisez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour effacer toute erreur de frappe. Maintenez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] enfoncée pour effacer toute la saisie. Appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] pour enregistrer le nom. «NUMERO?» apparaît à l'écran [2]. Saisissez ensuite le numéro de téléphone correspondant à l'aide des touches numériques [6]. Utilisez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour effacer toute erreur de frappe. Maintenez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] enfoncée pour effacer toute la saisie. Appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] pour enregistrer le numéro de téléphone. Un bip de confirmation retentit et le message «MEMORISE» apparaît pendant quelques secondes sur l écran [2]. Modification d une entrée Pour modifier une entrée, procédez comme suit : Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour sélectionner l entrée du répertoire que vous souhaitez modifier puis appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12]. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour sélectionner l élément «MODIF ENTREE» puis appuyez sur la touche Menu/OK [12] pour confirmer. Le nom apparaît à l'écran [2]. Vous pouvez maintenant modifier le nom à l'aide des touches numériques [6]. Utilisez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour effacer un caractère. Tous les paramètres seront complètement effacés. Cependant, il est impossible de garantir que les combinés d'autres fabricants sont en mesure de fonctionner parfaitement et intégralement, malgré la norme GAP utilisée. Utilisez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour effacer le chiffre saisi. Maintenez la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] enfoncée pour effacer tous les chiffres saisis. Appuyez sur la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour régler le volume du récepteur [1] pendant un appel. Le volume actuel est affiché sur l'écran [2]. Ce n est que lorsque le volume est affiché sur l écran [2] que vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche de la commande directionnelle [4] pour augmenter le volume. Appeler un numéro à partir du répertoire Si vous souhaitez utiliser un numéro enregistré dans le répertoire, appuyez fois sur la touche Répertoire [3] en mode veille. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande directionnelle [4] pour sélectionner l entrée de votre choix puis appuyez sur la touche de numérotation [11] pour appeler le numéro sélectionné. Appuyez sur la touche de fin d appel [5] pour raccrocher. Appels internes Pour plus d informations sur l ajout d une nouvelle entrée dans le répertoire, veuillez lire le chapitre «REPERTOIRE» à la page 19. Bis Appuyez sur la touche numéros composés. de la commande directionnelle [4] pour afficher la liste des trois derniers Pour rappeler le dernier numéro composé, il vous suffit d appuyer sur la touche de numérotation [11], car le numéro en surbrillance est le dernier à avoir été composé. Pour appeler un autre numéro de la liste, appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande multidirectionnelle [4] pour sélectionner le numéro de votre choix puis appuyez sur la touche de numérotation [11] pour l appeler. Répondre aux appels entrants Lorsque vous recevez un appel, le numéro de l appelant est affiché sur l écran [2] du combiné et le voyant d appel [13] clignote. Si le numéro de téléphone a été enregistré dans le répertoire, le nom correspondant est affiché. Pour que cette fonction marche, il faut que la fonction d identification de l appelant soit activée sur votre ligne téléphonique. Appuyez sur la touche de numérotation [11] pour répondre à l appel. Liste des appels Les numéros de téléphone de tous les appels entrants et sortants sont enregistrés dans la liste des appels, avec les noms correspondants si les numéros sont dans le répertoire. La liste des appels peut contenir jusqu à 30 appels entrants. Pour que cette fonction marche, il faut que la fonction d identification de l appelant soit activée sur votre ligne téléphonique. L'icône clignote à l'écran [2] lors d un appel entrant. L écran [2] indique également le nombre d appels manqués suivi du mot «MANQUE». Pour accéder à la liste des appels, appuyez sur la touche de la commande directionnelle [4]. Le dernier appel reçu est affiché. Si la liste des appels est vide, le mot «VIDE» est affiché sur l'écran [2]. Appuyez sur les touches ou de la commande multidirectionnelle [4] pour parcourir la liste des appels. Appuyez sur la touche Répertoire [3] pour afficher plus d informations (telles que le numéro de téléphone ou la date et l heure) concernant l entrée sélectionnée. Appuyez plusieurs fois sur la touche Répertoire [3] pour basculer entre les différentes informations. Appuyez sur la touche ESC/INT de la commande directionnelle [4] pour quitter la liste des appels. Si une entrée de la liste des appels comporte plus de 12 chiffres ou caractères, l icône apparaît sur l écran [2]. Telefonate führen Sie durch den DECT-Standard ohne lästige Störgeräusche. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Dies ist ein Gerät der Telekommunikationstechnik. Das Gerät kann an analoge Telefonanschlüsse angeschlossen werden. Um das Gerät verwenden zu können, ist eine sachgemäße Installation notwendig. Das Gerät darf nur zu privaten, nicht zu industriellen und kommerziellen Zwecken verwendet werden. Außerdem darf das Gerät nicht in tropischen Klimaregionen genutzt werden. Basisstation Wandmontage Sie können die Basisstation auch an einer Wand befestigen. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor: Bohren Sie zwei Löcher mit einem Abstand von 102 mm senkrecht untereinander. Stecken Sie geeignete Dübel in die Bohrlöcher. Stecken Sie geeignete Schrauben in die Dübel und drehen Sie diese soweit ein, bis sie ca. 5 mm aus der Wand herausstehen. Hängen Sie die Basisstation [B] über die Schraubenköpfe und ziehen Sie diese dann nach unten, bis sie sicheren Halt hat. Drehen Sie die Telefonhörer-Fixierung [30] an der Basisstation [B] um 180, um den Telefonhörer im Wandbetrieb einhängen zu können. Um den Telefonhörer im Wandbetrieb vorrübergehend zur Seite zu legen, ohne dabei das aktuelle Gespräch zu beenden, können Sie den Telefonhörer auf die Telefonhörer- Halterung [31] der Basisstation [B] hängen. Ladestation anschließen Stecken Sie den Netzstecker der Ladestation mit Netzteil [C] in eine Netzsteckdose. Einlegen der Akkus in das Mobilteil Öffnen Sie das Akkufach, indem Sie auf die Vertiefung der Akkufachabdeckung drücken und diese nach unten abziehen. Legen Sie die Akkus in das Mobilteil [D] ein, wie es in der folgenden Abbildung gezeigt ist. Achten Sie darauf, die Akkus polrichtig (+ und beachten) in das Mobilteil [D] einzulegen. Die Polung ist auf den Akkus und im Akkufach gekennzeichnet. Verschließen Sie anschließend das Akkufach mit der Akkufachabdeckung. (Abbildung ähnlich) 60 - Deutsch

Aufladen der Akkus Wurden die Akkus in das Mobilteil [D] eingelegt, müssen diese in der Ladestation mit Netzteil [C] vor der ersten Verwendung mindestens 16 Stunden geladen werden. Die Ladeanzeige [35] leuchtet während des Ladevorgangs. Im Auslieferungszustand sind die Akkus nicht aufgeladen. Inbetriebnahme Menüsprache festlegen Sie können für das Mobilteil und die Basisstation individuell die Menüsprache einstellen. Die voreingestellte Menüsprache ist abhängig vom Lieferland. Menüsprache für das Mobilteil festlegen Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um die Menüsprache für das Mobilteil festzulegen: Drücken Sie die Menü/OK-Taste [12], wenn sich das Mobilteil im Standby-Modus befindet, um das Menü aufzurufen. Beachten Sie, dass sich das Mobilteil in Funkreichweite zur Basisstation befinden muss. RESET Sie können das Mobilteil und die Basisstation zurücksetzen. Hierbei werden alle Einstellungen gelöscht. Wählen Sie jetzt mit den Steuerkreuztasten [4] oder am Mobilteil die Basisstation aus der Liste aus, an der das Mobilteil angemeldet werden soll und drücken Sie die Menü/OK-Taste [12]. Mit der Flash-Funktion am Mobilteil bzw. an der Basisstation können Sie bestimmte Dienste Ihrer externen Verbindungen, z.b. Anklopfen verwenden. Voraussetzung hierfür ist, dass Ihr Netzanbieter dieses Leistungsmerkmal anbietet. SYSTEM PIN Um die PIN Nummer zu ändern, gehen Sie wie folgt vor. Nach Bestätigen durch Drücken der Menü/OK-Taste [15] wird ALTE- im Display [17] angezeigt. UHR Geben Sie nun die alte PIN Nummer (0000 voreingestellt) ein und bestätigen Sie mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Im Display [17] wird nun NEUE- angezeigt. Geben Sie nun eine neue PIN Nummer ein und bestätigen Sie mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Im Display [17] wird nun WIEDERH- angezeigt. Wiederholen Sie nun die Eingabe der neue PIN Nummer und bestätigen Sie mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Ein Bestätigungston ertönt und es wird kurz GESPEICHERT im Display [17] angezeigt. Merken Sie sich den System PIN gut oder bewahren Sie ihn an einem sicheren Ort auf! In diesem Menü können Sie das Datum, die Uhrzeit und das Zeitformat einstellen. DATUM/UHR Um das Datum und die Uhrzeit einzustellen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor. Nach Bestätigen durch Drücken der Menü/OK-Taste [15] können Sie nacheinander das Jahr, den Monat, den Tag, die Stunde und die Minute festlegen. Den Wert geben Sie über die Zifferntasten [24] ein. Bestätigen Sie jede Eingabe mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Ein SignaIton bestätigt die komplette Eingabe und es wird kurz GESPEICHERT im Display [17] angezeigt. Die Einstellung wird für alle an der Basisstation angemeldeten Mobilteile übernommen. 72 - Deutsch

FORMAT Um das Zeitformat einzustellen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor. Wählen Sie den Eintrag 24-STUNDEN für die 24-Stunden-Anzeige oder 12- STUNDEN für die 12-Stunden-Anzeige mit Hilfe der Tasten und des Steuerkreuzes [16] aus. MT ABMELDEN Über diesen Menüpunkt können Sie ein Mobilteil abmelden. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor: Geben Sie die vierstellige PIN Nummer (0000 voreingestellt) ein und bestätigen Sie mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Geben Sie die Nummer des Mobilteiles ein, welches abgemeldet werden soll (1 bis 5). Bestätigen Sie die Eingabe mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Ein Bestätigungston ertönt und es wird kurz ENTFERNEN im Display [17] angezeigt. Auf dem Display [2] des abgemeldeten Mobilteiles erscheint anstelle des Mobilteilnamens nun NICHT REGIST. RUECKSETZEN Sie können die Basisstation zurücksetzen. Hierbei werden alle Einstellungen gelöscht. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um die Basisstation zurückzusetzen: Nach Bestätigen durch Drücken der Menü/OK-Taste [15] wird RUECKSETZEN? im Display [17] angezeigt. Drücken Sie erneut die Menü/OK-Taste [15] wird PIN- im Display [17] angezeigt. Geben Sie nun die PIN Nummer (0000 voreingestellt) ein und bestätigen Sie mit der Menü/OK-Taste [15]. Um den Vorgang abzubrechen, drücken Sie die ESC-Taste [14]. Wurde die Basisstation zurückgesetzt, wird kurz AUSGEFUEHRT im Display [17] angezeigt und es ertönt ein Bestätigungston. Beachten Sie, dass beim Zurücksetzen auch alle gespeicherten Daten (Wahlwiederholung, Telefonbuch, Anrufliste und Kurzwahlnummern) der Basisstation gelöscht werden. Deutsch - 73

Mobilteil - Der tägliche Gebrauch Anrufen Externe Anrufe Nutzen Sie die Zifferntasten [6], um eine Telefonnummer einzugeben. Wenn Sie die Telefonnummer vollständig eingegeben haben, drücken Sie die Verbindungs-Taste [11], um die eingegebene Nummer anzurufen. Drücken Sie die Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4], um eine eingegebene Ziffer wieder zu löschen. Halten Sie die Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] lange gedrückt, werden alle eingegebenen Ziffern gelöscht. Sie können die Lautstärke des Hörers [1] während eines Gespräches mit der Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] verringern. Im Display [2] wird dabei die aktuell eingestellte Lautstärke angezeigt. Nur solange die aktuell eingestellte Lautstärke im Display [2] angezeigt wird, kann durch Drücken der Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] die Lautstärke erhöht werden. Telefonnummer aus dem Telefonbuch verwenden Möchten Sie eine Telefonnummer aus dem Telefonbuch verwenden, drücken Sie im Standby-Modus die Telefonbuch-Taste [3]. Wählen Sie mit den Steuerkreuztasten [4] oder den gewünschten Eintrag und drücken Sie dann die Verbindungs-Taste [11], um den ausgewählten Eintrag anzurufen. Um die zuletzt gewählte Telefonnummer erneut anzurufen, drücken Sie die Verbindungs-Taste [11], da die zuletzt gewählte Telefonnummer automatisch markiert ist. Um eine der anderen Telefonnummern erneut anzurufen, wählen Sie mit den Steuerkreuztasten [4] oder die gewünschte Nummer und drücken Sie dann die Verbindungs-Taste [11], um diese anzurufen. Annehmen von Anrufen Bei einem eingehenden Anruf wird die Telefonnummer des Anrufenden auf dem Display [2] des Mobilteils angezeigt und die Anruf-LED [13] blinkt. Ist die Telefonnummer im Telefonbuch hinterlegt, wird der zugeordnete Name angezeigt. Als Voraussetzung hierfür muss für Ihren Telefonanschluss die Rufnummernübermittlung (CLIP) aktiviert sein. Drücken Sie die Verbindungs-Taste [11], um den Anruf anzunehmen. Anrufliste Von allen eingehenden Telefonaten wird die Telefonnummer bzw. der im Telefonbuch zugeordnete Name in der Anrufliste gespeichert. Die Anrufliste kann bis zu 30 eingehende Telefonate speichern. Als Voraussetzung hierfür muss für Ihren Telefonanschluss die Rufnummernübermittlung (CLIP) aktiviert sein. Ein neuer Anruf wird im Display [2] mit dem blinkenden Symbol angezeigt. Weiterhin wird im Display [2] die Anzahl der verpassten Anrufe gefolgt von VERPASST angezeigt. Öffnen Sie die Anrufliste mit der Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4]. Es wird Ihnen nun der zuletzt empfangene Anruf angezeigt. Ist die Anrufliste leer, wird im Display [2] LEER angezeigt. Mit den Steuerkreuztasten [4] oder können Sie durch die Anrufliste blättern. Drücken Sie die Telefonbuch-Taste [3], um sich weitere Informationen (z.b. Telefonnummer bzw. Sie können die Lautstärke des Lautsprechers bei aktivierter Freisprechfunktion mit der Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] verringern. Im Display [2] wird dabei die aktuell eingestellte Lautstärke angezeigt. Nur solange die aktuell eingestellte Lautstärke im Display [2] angezeigt wird, kann durch Drücken der Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] die Lautstärke erhöht werden. Mikrofon stumm schalten Sie können das Mikrofon während eines Gespräches stumm schalten, damit Sie sprechen können, ohne dass Ihr Telefongesprächspartner Sie hören kann. Drücken Sie dazu während eines Gespräches die Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4]. Das Mikrofon ist nun stumm geschaltet und im Display [2] wird das Symbol angezeigt. Drücken Sie erneut die abzuschalten. Geben Sie nun die Nummer 0 für die Basisstation oder bei der Verwendung von weiteren Mobilteilen die Nummer des Mobilteiles an, welches Sie anrufen wollen. Sobald die Verbindung mit der Basisstation oder ein weiteres Mobilteil aufgebaut wurde, können Sie intern sprechen. Drücken Sie die ESC/INT-Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4], um zwischen den externen Telefongespräch und den internen Telefongespräch hin und herzuschalten. Drücken Sie die ESC/INT-Taste des Steuerkreuzes [4] ca. drei Sekunden, um ein Konferenzgespräch zu führen. Neue Nachricht im Sprachspeicher Sind neue Nachrichten im Sprachspeicher, wird Ihnen dieses auf dem Display [2] mit dem Symbol angezeigt. Sobald die Sprachnachricht angehört wurde, verschwindet das Symbol. Tastatur sperren Um den Sprachspeicher verwenden zu können, muss diese Funktion von Ihrem Telefonanschluss unterstützt werden. Drücken Sie die Raute-Taste [7] ca. zwei Sekunden, um die Tastatur gegen unbeabsichtigte Eingaben zu sperren. Eingehende Anrufe können trotz gesperrter Tastatur durch Drücken der Verbindungs-Taste [11] angenommen werden. Die Tastatur können Sie wieder entsperren, indem Sie die Raute-Taste [7] erneut ca. zwei Sekunden drücken. Ist die Tastensperre aktiviert, wird dies durch das Symbol im Display [2] angezeigt. Bei aktivierter Tastensperre kann die europaweit gültige Notrufnummer 112 weiterhin gewählt werden. Rufton stumm schalten Drücken Sie die Stern-Taste [10] ca. zwei Sekunden, um den Rufton stumm zu schalten. Den Rufton können Sie wieder aktivieren, indem Sie die Stern-Taste [10] erneut ca. zwei Sekunden drücken. Wählen Sie mit den Steuerkreuztasten [16] oder den gewünschten Eintrag und nehmen Sie dann den Telefonhörer ab, um den ausgewählten Eintrag anzurufen. Legen Sie den Telefonhörer auf, um den Anruf zu beenden. Sie können den Telefonhörer auch erst abnehmen und danach eine Telefonnummer aus dem Telefonbuch verwenden. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste [26], um die Mikrofon Stummschaltung wieder abzuschalten. Anrufweiterleitung Drücken Sie während eines externen Telefongesprächs die Funkruf-Taste [25] für ca. drei Sekunden (es ertönt ein kurzer Signalton). Auf dem Display [17] wird nun INTERN angezeigt. Geben Sie nun die Nummer des Mobilteils ein, welches Sie anrufen wollen. Sobald die Verbindung mit dem Mobilteil aufgebaut wurde, können Sie intern sprechen. Legen Sie den Telefonhörer auf, um das externe Telefongespräch zu beenden und es an das Mobilteil weiterzuleiten. Rückfragen und Konferenz Drücken Sie während eines externen Telefongesprächs die Funkruf-Taste [25] für ca. drei Sekunden (es ertönt ein kurzer Signalton). Auf dem Display [17] wird nun INTERN angezeigt. Geben Sie nun die Nummer des Mobilteils ein, welches Sie anrufen wollen. Sobald die Verbindung mit dem Mobilteil aufgebaut wurde, können Sie intern sprechen. Drücken Sie die Funkruf-Taste [25], um zwischen den externen Telefongespräch und den internen Telefongespräch hin und herzuschalten. Drücken Sie die Funkruf-Taste [25] ca. drei Sekunden, um ein Konferenzgespräch zu führen. Neue Nachricht im Sprachspeicher Sind neue Nachrichten im Sprachspeicher, wird Ihnen dieses auf dem Display [17] mit dem Symbol angezeigt. Sobald die Sprachnachricht angehört wurde, verschwindet das Symbol. Um den Sprachspeicher verwenden zu können, muss diese Funktion von Ihrem Telefonanschluss unterstützt werden. Funkruf Mit dieser Funktion können Sie einen Funkruf starten, um Ihr Mobilteil wieder zu finden. Drücken Sie dazu kurz die Funkruf-Taste [25] an der Basisstation, wenn sich diese im Standby-Modus befindet. Das Mobilteil erzeugt nun ca. 30 Sekunden ein Rufsignal und die Anruf-LED [13] blinkt. Wartung / Reinigung Wartung Reparaturarbeiten sind erforderlich, wenn das Gerät beschädigt wurde, z.b. wenn das Gerätegehäuse beschädigt ist, Flüssigkeit oder Gegenstände ins Innere des Gerätes gelangt sind oder wenn es Regen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt wurde. Connecting the Base An illustration of the components mentioned below can be found in the Package Contents section on page 94. Plug the power adapter [A] into a wall outlet. Connect the plug using the power adapter socket [32] on the back of the base [B]. Using the supplied telephone cord [F], connect the telephone connection socket [33] on the back of the base [B] to the telephone wall jack. English - 103

Wall-mounting the base You can also mount the base on the wall. Proceed as follows: Drill two holes with a vertical distance of 102 mm. Insert suitable rawlplugs into the drilled holes. Insert suitable screws into the rawlplugs and turn them in until they protrude approx. 5 mm from the wall. Hang the base [B] on the screw heads and then pull it downwards until it becomes fixed. Turn the telephone receiver fixing [30] on the base [D] 180 so you can mount the telephone receiver. When wall-mounted, if you wish to put the telephone receiver aside without ending a phone conversation, you can place the receiver onto the telephone receiver holder [31] on the base [B]. Connecting the Charger Cradle Connect the charging cradle plug to a power socket using power adapter [C]. Inserting the Batteries into the Handset Open the battery compartment by gently pressing the indentation of the battery compartment cover and then sliding it downwards. Insert the rechargeable batteries into the handset [D] as illustrated below. Take care to insert the batteries into the handset [D] observing the correct polarity (+ and ). Charging the Batteries Once the batteries have been inserted in the handset [D], they must be charged using the charger cradle with power adapter [C] for at least 16 hours before using the handset for the first time. The charging indicator [35] will light during charging. On delivery, the batteries are not charged. Getting started Setting the Menu Language You can set the menu language for the handset and for the base independently. The default menu language depends on the supplying country. SELECT BASE This allows you to select the base where you want to register a handset. As you will normally have one base only, you can use the default setting AUTO. Where several bases are available, you can use the MANUAL option to select the desired base manually from the list. Please note that the handset must be located within RF range of the base. RESET You can reset the handset and the base. All settings will be completely erased. Proceed as follows to reset the handset and the base: After confirming by pressing the Menu/OK button [12] the message RESET? appears on the display [2]. Press the Menu/OK button [12] again, the message PIN- appears on the display [2]. Enter your PIN code (default 0000) and press the Menu/OK button [12] to confirm. Or press the ESC/INT button on the multifunction control [4] to cancel. After the handset and the base have been reset, a beep can be heard. To register a de-registered or a new handset with the base, proceed as follows: Press and hold the Locator button [25] on the base for about 10 seconds. REGISTER will appear on the display [17]. Note on using handsets of other manufacturers If you would like to register DECT handsets of third-party manufacturers, which support the GAP standard, with the SilverCrest base, you have to consider the documentation of the relevant manufacturer. However, handsets of third-party manufacturers are not guaranteed to work fully or correctly, despite the GAP standard. Press the or multifunction control buttons [4] on the handset to select the base from the list to which you want to register the handset. Then press the Menu/OK button [12]. Enter your four-digit PIN code (default 0000) and press the Menu/OK button [12] to confirm. As soon as the handset has established a connection to the base, a beep can be heard and the name and number of the handset are shown on the display [2]. Note on using bases of other manufacturers If you would like to register the SilverCrest handset with a base of a third-party manufacturer that supports the GAP standard, you have to consider the documentation of the relevant manufacturer. However, the SilverCrest handset is not guaranteed to work fully or correctly in this case, despite the GAP standard. DE-REGISTER This menu item allows you to de-register a handset that is currently registered with the base. Proceed as follows: Enter your four-digits PIN code (default 0000) and press the Menu/OK button [15] to confirm. Enter the number of the handset that you want to de-register (1 to 5). RECALL You can use the Recall/Flash function with the Menu/OK button [12] on your handset or the Calls list button [20] on the base during a phone call. You can use it during a call for switching to an internal conversation or to forward the call when using the device with a PBX. The Recall/Flash function on your handset or base allows you to use specific services for external phone calls, e.g. Call Waiting. The requirement for this is that your network provider supports this feature. SYSTEM PIN To change the PIN code, proceed as follows: After confirming by pressing the Menu/OK button [15] the message OLD PIN- appears on the display [17]. Enter the old PIN code (default 0000) and press the Menu/OK button [15] to confirm. NEW PIN- will appear on the display [17]. Enter a new PIN code and press the Menu/OK button [15] to confirm. AGAIN- will appear on the display [17]. Enter the new PIN code again and press the Menu/OK button [15] to confirm. TIME This menu lets you set the date and time as well as the clock format. Handset - Everyday use Making calls External calls Use the numeric buttons [6] to enter a telephone number. After you have entered the phone number, press the Dial button [11] to call the entered number. Press the button on the multifunction control [4] to clear the entered digit. Keep the button on the multifunction control [4] pressed to clear all entered digits. You can press the button on the multifunction control [4] to adjust the volume of the receiver [1] during a call. The current volume level is shown on the display [2]. Only while the current volume level is shown on the display [2] you can press the button on the multifunction control [4] to increase the volume. Calling a Number from the Phonebook If you want to use a number stored in the phone book, press the Phonebook button [3] while in standby mode. Press the or multifunction control buttons [4] to select the desired entry and then press the Dial button [11] to call the selected entry. Press the End call button [5] to hang up. Internal calls For more information about adding a new phone book entry, please read the chapter "PHONEBOOK" on page 107. Press the ESC/INT button on the multifunction control [4] to make an internal call. INTERNAL will appear on the display [2]. Enter the number 0 for calling the base or, when using more registered handsets, enter the number of the handset you want to call. New message in voice mail If there are new messages in the voice mail, the icon appears on the display [2]. After you have listened to the voice mail message, the icon disappears. To be able to use the voice mail, your provider must support it. Locking the keypad Press and hold the Hash button [7] for approx. 2 seconds to lock the keypad against accidental input. However, you will still be able to answer any incoming calls by pressing the Dial button [11]. To unlock the keypad, press and hold the Hash button [7] again for approx. 2 seconds. When the keypad is locked, the icon will show on the display [2]. When the keypad lock is activated, the EU-wide emergency number 112 can still be selected. Switching the ringtone off Press and hold the Asterisk button [10] for approx. 2 seconds to switch the ringtone off. Base - Everyday use Making calls External calls Use the numeric buttons [24] to enter a telephone number. After you have entered the phone number, pick up the receiver to call the entered number. Press the button [26] to clear the entered digit. You can adjust the receiver volume during a call by pressing the button [27] to reduce the volume or the button [28] to increase it. The current volume level is shown on the display [17]. You can also pick up the receiver first and dial the number afterwards using the numeric buttons [24]. Please note that in this case the entered phone number is dialled immediately. Calling a number from the phonebook If you want to use a number stored in the phone book, press the Phonebook button [19] while in standby mode. Press the or multifunction control buttons [16] to select the desired entry and then pick up the receiver to call the selected entry. Put down the receiver to end the call. You can also pick up the receiver first and then dial the number from the phonebook. Troubleshooting Handset does not work / blank display Batteries inserted incorrectly - insert the rechargeable batteries with the correct polarity. Batteries are flat - recharge the batteries. The antenna icon is flashing Handset out of range take the handset closer to the base. No ringtone from handset or base No ring or dial tone for outgoing calls Base has no power check the base power supply. Switch the ringtone back on. The phone cord is defective. When using the pulse dial mode with a PBX, it is possible for malfunctions to occur. This is because the PBX misinterprets the dial pulses. Switch to tone dial mode. Maintenance/cleaning Maintenance Repairs are required when this device has been damaged in any way, for example when the device housing is damaged, when liquids or objects have entered the device or when the product has been exposed to rain or moisture. Repairs are also necessary when the product does not perform normally or if it has been dropped. If smoke, unusual noises or smells are noticed, disconnect the device from the mains immediately. If this occurs, the device should no longer be used and should be inspected by an expert. All repairs must be carried out by qualified service personnel. Never open the housing of the device. Opening the housing can exposes you to a lethal electric shock. Opening the device could also damage it and you would void your warranty. 130 - English
