Primavera SHIMA, piano «Feu, flamme et passion» Biographie Ayant démarrée sa carrière dès le plus jeune âge au Conservatoire de Musique de Sydney, la pianiste australienne Primavera Shima est rapidement admise à la division «Pré-collège» de la prestigieuse école de musique Juilliard School de New-York. Elle poursuit ensuite ses études à la Colburn School of Music et remporte le Premier prix du Werner Baer Memorial Award en 2004. Finaliste en 2001 du Symphony Australia Young Performers Award, elle est alors invitée à donner un récital à la Radio nationale australienne 2MBS-FM. Elle joue ensuite le Concerto n 1 pour piano et orchestre de Liszt sous la baguette d Henryk Pisarek. En 2010, Primavera reçoit le Managing Director s Award de la Jacques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition. La même année, elle devient la première double-détentrice du Prix et de la Bourse Sterndale Bennett depuis leur création 140 ans plus tôt à l Académie Royale de Musique de Londres, où elle termine son Bachelor of Music avec une mention Honneurs en 2011. En 2012, elle est lauréate de la Compétition Internationale de Piano de Mayenne puis obtient un Prix Spécial du jury à l International Piano Competition de Rhodes ; un récital salle Cortot à Paris parachève cette belle année de succès. En 2013, Primavera s illustre en gagnant la Tait Memorial Scholarship à la compétition de la Royal Over-Seas League, ainsi que l Overseas Award. Récemment, elle a remporté le Premier prix du concours Edel-Latos de Chatou ainsi que le 2 e Prix du Scriabine international piano Competition de Grosseto en Italie. En 2014, Primavera a remporté le 3 e Prix du Morocco international piano competition et le 1 er Prix, le Prix du public et le Prix des lycéens au Concours international de piano de Mayenne. Auprès du professeur Marian Rybicki, à l Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Primavera Shima a suivi un cycle de perfectionnement et a obtenu le Diplôme supérieur de concertiste. Primavera SHIMA poursuit sa carrière internationale avec brio. Elle a joué récemment le Concerto Soirée de Nino Rota au Festival classique de Palerme à l été 2014 ainsi qu un programme Beethoven. 1
Primavera Shima, piano Biography Starting at the earliest age at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Primavera quickly entered the precollege division of the prestigious Juilliard School of Music of New York. She gained recognition as early as 2001 by being one of the local state-finalists of the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Award, and performed a onehour live programme on Australian national radio 2MBS-FM. She also performed the Liszt Piano Concerto n 1 with the East-West Orchestra in Sydney under the baton of Henryk Pisarek. She went on to study at the Colburn School Conservatory of Music of Los Angeles and became in 2004 the recipient of the Werner Baer Memorial Award; she then reached in 2009 the semi-finals at the Lev Vlassenko Competition and received the Encouragement Award. In 2010, Primavera received the Managing Director s Award at the Jacques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition. The same year, she became the first ever dual-recipient of the Sterndale Bennett Prize and of the Sterndale Bennett Scholarship since their inception 140 years ago at the Royal Academy of Music of London, where she received her Bachelor of Music with honours in 2011. Shortly after in 2012, she finished 4th at the 5th Mayenne International Piano Competition in France, and was awarded the Special Prize at the 5th Rhodes International Competition in Greece, before performing a concert at the Salle Cortot in Paris. In 2013 Primavera SHIMA won the Tait award at the Royal Over-Seas League competition as well as the Overseas Award. Most recently, she won the first prize at the Cecile Edel-Latos competition in Chatou and the second prize at the Scriabine International Competition in Grosseto, Italy, 3 rd Prize at the Morocco international piano competition and 1 st Prize, Audience Prize and Prix des lycéens at Mayenne international piano competition. Primavera had the pleasure and honour of counting amongst her professors John Perry, Margaret Hair, Elizabeth Powell, Herbert Stessin, and Ian Foutain. She also participated in masterclasses given by Dmitri Bashkirov, Marc Durand and Lev Vlassenko. Primavera now lives in France and received the Diplome supérieur de Concertiste after finishing her studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot de Paris under the guidance of Marian Rybicki. Primavera SHIMA is having a growing carreer with numerous concerts including Palermo Classic Festival (summer 2014) with Concerto Soirée by Nino Rota and Beethoven s piano sonatas 2
