1 Le contexte

Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) Un programme unique regroupant plusieurs anciens programmes (PCDRT, CIP, IET, Euratom) La volonté de coupler recherche et innovation : balayer toute la chaîne La volonté de se focaliser sur quelques défis de sociétés

Enjeux du programme Horizon 2020 Renforcer la position de l Union européenne dans le monde dans les domaines de la recherche, de l innovation et des technologies ; assurer la compétitivité de l Europe en investissant dans les technologies et les métiers d avenir, au service d une croissance "intelligente, durable et inclusive" ; renforcer l attractivité de l Europe de la recherche ; prendre en compte les préoccupations des citoyens (santé, environnement, énergies propres...) et apporter des éléments de réponse aux défis de société.

3 Le programme de travail LEIT 2016-2017 ICT

Programmation (LEIT-ICT) dans H2020 Programme de travail: approche stratégique, dimension pluriannuelle Une approche fondée sur des données probantes (basée sur des études, de la prospective ), sur des consultations externes (Advisory groups, external stakeholders (groupes d influences, ETP, PPP, JPI et ERA Net, KICs ), la comitologie (contrôle de l exercice des compétences de la CE par les Comités de Programme) Dimension innovation renforcée Engagement de l industrie recherché (avec des instruments idoines) Objectif d implication des PME: 20% Dimension intégrative: lien entre les différentes parties du programme de travail, les différents acteurs International dans les WP: approche plus stratégique

Orientations 2016-2017 Projets de WP consultables sur le site de la CE depuis le 10/09 Adoption et publication à la mi-octobre WP ICT LEIT prend en compte le contexte général de technologies numériques qui mettent leur empreinte sur le monde actuel en responsabilisant et donnant plus de droits aux utilisateurs finaux, en laissant émerger des modèles d affaires innovants, en modifiant les chaînes de valeur et les réseaux dans tous les secteurs. Soutenir les industries des TIC clés au travers des FdR des PPP Fournir des briques pour les technologies de demain (FdR complétées par des activités de R&I plus exploratoires) Soutenir l innovation de rupture (via l instrument PME, le «fast track to innovation») Développer des actions transverses, renforcement de pilotes à grande échelle et en conditions réelles Contribuer à la dimension internationale du programme (notamment via des appels conjoints ciblés) Prendre en compte les notions de sécurité, de respect de la vie privée et de «R&I responsable» Budget global annoncé par la DG Connect (appels ICT, appels internationaux conjoints, autres actions) de 762,55 M en 2016 et 807,65 M en 2017

A new generation of components and systems 2016-2017 (overall budget ~ 84 M ) This area addresses the broad range of system level integration from miniaturised smart components and large area organic electronics to cyber-physical systems and systems of systems. Organised in : ICT1 2016: Smart Cyber-Physical Systems (20 M ) ICT2 2016: Thin, Organic and Large Area Electronics (TOLAE) (20 M ) ICT3 2016: SSI Smart System Integration (18,5 M ) ICT4 2017: Smart Anything Everywhere Initiative (25,5 M ) Complementarity with activities addresses in the Joint Technology Initiative ECSEL (Electronic Components and Systems) focussed on higher TRL large scale federating projects and integrated demonstrations and pilots Contribute also to parts of the SRIA of Artemis and EPOSS 32,5 3,5 48 RIA IA CSA

Advanced Computing and Cloud Computing 2016-2017 (overall budget ~ 71 M ) Actions in this area will therefore address both further progress in the design, programming and implementation of advanced low power and customised computing as well as Cloud Computing infrastructures and services, enabling the delivery of a wide range of IT solutions as a service on a secure, flexible, ondemand and pay-per-use basis. Organised in two topics: ICT5-2017: Customised and low energy computing (26 M ] ICT6 2016: Cloud Computing (45M ) 10 2 RIA IA CSA 59 Complementary to work in «Excellent science» pillar on High Performance Computing and to ICT-01-2016 Smart Cyber-Physical Systems

Robotics and autonomous systems 2016-2017 (overall budget ~ 157 M ) The main approach is to generate new RAS technical capabilities and system abilities and to move research results out of the laboratory and into the marketplace, engaging with SMEs and end users. Targeted technical capabilities : systems development; interaction; mechatronics and perception / navigation / cognition Targeted system abilities : configurability; adaptability; interaction capability; dependability; motion capability; manipulation and grasping; perception; decisional autonomy and cognitive ability Organised in 4 topics ICT25 2016/2017: Advanced robot capabilities research and take-up (64 M ) ICT26 2016: System abilities, development and pilot installations (42 M ) ICT27 2017: System abilities, SME & benchmarking actions, safety certification (46 M ) ICT28 2017: Robotics Competition, coordination and support (5M ) RIA IA 63 CSA PCP 5 7

ICT Key Enabling Technologies (overall budget ~ 181 M ) Topics in this area address research and innovation in the two ICT Key Enabling Technologies (KETs), photonics and micro- and nanoelectronics. Photonics topics cover research and innovation activities under the photonics public private partnership (PPP) + complementary to FoF PPP The micro- and nanoelectronics part will be implemented by the Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) on 'Electronic Components and Systems' and through this Work Programme. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Turning research results into innovative products and services often remains difficult in Europe and more needs to be done to foster a culture of entrepreneurship. The topics of this section address these problems by reinforcing the involvement of end users, supporting digital entrepreneurship, strengthening support to start-ups and SMEs, facilitating the meeting between financial investors and start-ups, increasing the skills for future entrepreneurs. Responsability and Creativity 2016-2017 For innovation to happen and to be of value for society, the critical skills needed in addition to scientific and technological knowledge are skills such as creativity, and the capacity to involve all of society in the process of innovation. This section includes cross-cutting activities aiming at supporting the nexus between technology, social sciences, humanities and arts. The proposed topics address the need to engage: with social scientists and humanists on the development of responsible research and innovation agendas that meet citizens' civil society's concerns and expectations, and with artists, in order to better include them in innovation processes to foster creativity and help enhance user acceptance. International Cooperation Activities 2016-2017 (1- Topics) The international dimension of Horizon 2020 supports the EU's research and innovation excellence and industrial competitiveness. Several objectives are pursued in the ICT area. The aim is to encourage some of the world's "best minds" to work with Europe's researchers and in European-funded projects and to enable the EU industry to benefit from ICT market developments internationally, especially in the most prominent emerging economies. The international dimension will also promote the global reach and adoption of technological developments, market innovations and standards coming from the EU, particularly in growing markets. Active ageing and self-management of health (1) PM-12-2016: PCP ehealth innovation in empowering the patient PCP for R&D/ICT solutions of new services / integration of existing services Increasing the level of interactions between the user and the health professional, enabling users to controle their health conditions and adhere to prescribed medical plans. Ex: telemedicines for follow-up of patient (chronic and rare diseases), e-mental healthfor patient empowerment, domestic rehabilitation (physical and cognitive) under remote professional supervision; Key documents: ehealth action plan 2012-2020 + mhealth green paper. PM-13-2016: PPI for deployment and scaling up of ICT solutions for active and healthy ageing = specify, purchase and deploy ICT-based solutions for active and healty ageing Key document: scaling-up road map of the EIP. Active ageing and self-management of health (2) PM-14-2016: EU-Japan cooperation on Novel ICT Robotics based solutions for active and healthy ageing at home or in care facilities (RIA) Developing and demonstrating ICT robotics based solutions for extending active and healthy ageing -multidisciplinary research (including behaviour/ssh) -Modularity, cost-effectiveness, reliability, flexibility (=adaptation to needs & lifestyle of older people) -Safety and acceptability -Test site in EU and Japan, with sufficient users (for validating) -Notion of spreading services (use of generalized infrastructure cloud systems, open source) + interoperability, standardization, open platforms, Internet of things approach -Max 36 months, no other third country partner, consortium agreement PM-15-2017: Personalised coaching for well-being and care of people as the age (RIA) = dvppt of radically new concept for a virtual coach (ex diet, physical activity, risk avoidance, leisure.from a physical, mental and cognitive, and social point of view) -Take into account gender and ethics aspects. -User-centred.
