Mike Teixeira est né à Hull, Québec. Après avoir complété une année en design intérieur au Collège de l'outaouais à Gatineau, il obtient une exemption du programme de design graphique de la Cité collégiale à Ottawa en raison de son expérience. En 1997, il devient directeur artistique de l'agence Kolegram. Ses qualités lui ont valu de nombreux prix nationaux et internationaux dans les concours de design organisés par le New York s Type Director s Club, American Institute of Graphic Arts, How Design, Applied Arts, Coupe, Communication Arts, Société des graphistes du Canada, Grafika, Graphis, Alcuin Society, Rockport, Phaidon. En 2003, Mike est conférencier invité pour la journée typographie organisée par les éditions Infopresse à Montréal. En 2004, il réalise une œuvre de charité pour le Aids Committee de Toronto qui paraît dans le livre The Sex Book Project. De plus, le Canadian Design for the Arts l'invite à une exposition de design graphique au Medecine Hat Museum en Alberta. Il est présentement designer graphique à son compte et partage son savoir en donnant des présentations dans des établissements scolaires de la région de la capitale nationale. Mike Teixeira was born in Hull, Quebec. After finishing a year of interior design studies at Collège de l'outaouais in Gatineau, he received an exemption from the graphic design program at the Cité collégiale in Ottawa, due to his experience. Canadian Design for the Arts also invited him to participate in a graphic design exhibition at Alberta s Medicine Hat Museum. He is presently a free lance graphic designer and shares his professional knowledge by giving presentations at various educational institutions in the National Capital Region.
