édito Jean GACHASSIN Président de la FFT Voilà bientôt quatre ans que vous m'avez porté à la tête de la Fédération Française de Tennis. Que le temps passe vite! Mais je puis vous assurer que mon enthousiasme demeure intact. ant cette olympiade, notre Fédération a continué à progresser grâce à vous, dirigeants de ligues et de comités. Sans votre implication et votre dévouement, rien n'est possible. Je vous en remercie infiniment. Pendant ces quatre années, nous avons mis en œuvre le programme sur lequel mon équipe et moi avons été élus avec un credo : remettre le sport au centre des débats en étant à l'écoute de vos préoccupations et de celle des clubs. Fédération de sport oblige, je tiens m'attarder sur le volet sportif de cette mandature. A cette occasion, je voudrais souligner la densité du tennis masculin qui fait de la France une des premières nations au monde avec, jusqu'à très récemment, 4 joueurs dans les 0 meilleurs mondiaux et une douzaine dans le Top 100. A cela, il faut ajouter nos médaillés olympiques à Londres, une finale de Coupe Davis, de beaux parcours en Grand Chelem. Bref, un tennis masculin en excellente santé Chez les filles, le bilan est différent. Nous sommes dans une phase de reconstruction! Je souhaite à l'avenir que l'on s'adapte aux spécificités des jeunes filles et des femmes. Le plan de relance mis en place par notre DTN s'inscrit dans cet esprit. Au niveau de la formation de nos jeunes, notre nouvelle politique va dans le bon sens, en privilégiant l'élargissement de la base. Cessons l'élitisme précoce, ne cherchons pas à former des jeunes qui soient champions du monde dès le plus jeune âge, qui est avant tout celui du plaisir et du jeu. Seuls comptent les titres séniors pour alimenter nos équipes de France de Coupe Davis et de Fed Cup, ainsi que pour briller en Grand Chelem. L'autre indicateur de la relative bonne santé de notre fédération demeure le nombre de licenciés. Il est en augmentation, comme vous le savez, et je m'en réjouis. Pour rester dans cette dynamique, nous devons aider les dirigeants de clubs à améliorer sans cesse la qualité du service offert et la qualité de vie au sein de leurs structures. Enfin pour conclure, Il est un dossier qui nous préoccupe tous : la modernisation du stade Roland-Garros. Comme vous le savez, ce sont les Internationaux de France qui garantissent l'indépendance financière et économique de notre Fédération et les moyens de sa politique. Lors de notre Assemblée générale de 011, nous avons décidé de rester à Paris pour cultiver notre différence par rapport à nos concurrents. Notre volonté est de construire, non seulement un stade qui réponde aux besoins de nos différents publics (joueurs, médias, spectateurs, partenaires), mais aussi un stade moderne et écologique. Un stade qui conserve son âme dans la plus belle ville du monde. Pour ce défi, l'ensemble du tennis français et la Mairie de Paris sont derrière notre projet, et je sais que je peux compter sur vous! Nous allons donc continuer à faire prospérer notre belle entreprise associative avec enthousiasme et dans le respect de nos valeurs. 5 Je vous souhaite une belle saison sportive 013!
édito François JAUFFRET Président de la Ligue de Tennis du Val-de-Marne Une nouvelle Olympiade s'ouvre à nous. Un Comité renouvelé à plus de 50 % va apporter un dynamisme nouveau à notre organisation. Des commissions avec à leur tête de nouveaux dirigeants vont amener leur fraîcheur et des idées novatrices pour toujours mieux vous servir et être à votre disposition. La commission communication qui s'est mise au travail, prend une véritable dimension et innove. C'est ainsi que «Jeu Set et Mag» qui vient d'arriver dans vos clubs, ne paraîtra peut-être plus qu'une fois par an mais il sera complété par une Newsletter dont le premier numéro sortira très bientôt. Elle vous apportera les informations les plus actuelles qui seront relayées et détaillées sur le site internet de la Ligue. Aujourd'hui, c'est le «Guide des Clubs» qui se présente d'une façon nouvelle et qui devient exclusivement le répertoire et l'outil des clubs. Dans notre monde qui évolue à grande vitesse il est difficile d'être toujours à l'heure et l'on constate que certains points de règlements ne sont plus au goût du jour au moment où notre Guide vous parvient. Il est donc apparu à Sylvie Sitruk, Présidente de la commission communication de moderniser l'outil, et au Bureau de la Ligue, de suivre ses idées. J'espère que vous apprécierez ces nouveautés et qu'en tout état de cause vous voudrez bien nous faire part de vos remarques pour le futur. Je souhaite d'excellents résultats à tous les compétiteurs, qu'ils soient de plus en plus nombreux, à tous ceux qui pratiquent notre beau jeu de se détendre dans la convivialité et à vous Mesdames et Messieurs les dirigeants malgré les difficultés actuelles, prospérité à votre club. 7
