Contexte La consommation des véhicules devient un enjeu majeur Dans les années à venir, il dépassera l émission de polluants 2
Problème Le rendement global des moteurs thermiques est assez bon à pleine charge (35 à 40 %) Par contre, il est très faible à faible charge (jusqu à 0% au ralenti) Le cycle thermodynamique n est pas réversible : L énergie cinétique ne peut pas être retransformée en carburant La réduction de la consommation passe par : La suppression du fonctionnement à faible charge Le stockage de l énergie cinétique durant les phases de décélération 3
