Enregistrement code Dans le menu «Aide» du logiciel Logicab 2, cliquer sur «Enregistrement utilisateur». Saisir la clé utilisateur inscrite à l intérieur du boîtier du logiciel Logicab 2. Cliquer sur «Valider». Mise à niveau de votre table traçante pour pilotage avec le port USB Votre table doit être éteinte et connectée à l ordinateur avec le câble parallèle Centronics. Appuyez simultanément sur le bouton «STOP» et «Clear Buffer» de votre table, maintenez cet appui et appuyez sur le bouton «ON» de votre table. Les leds «Clear Buffer» et «STOP» s allument. Double-cliquez sur le fichier «upload logicab2_1-12a.bat» présent sur votre CD Logicab 2 dans le répertoire «D:\Upgrade_Table». 2
Mise à niveau de votre table traçante pour pilotage avec le port USB (suite) La fenêtre suivante apparaît. Sélectionnez le port parallèle utilisé avec la table traçante (LPT1 par défaut) puis cliquez sur le bouton «Send». Remarque : Pendant le chargement de la mise à jour, les leds «Clear Buffer» puis «STOP» s allument puis toutes les leds et enfin la table traçante s éteint automatiquement. Appuyez sur le bouton «ON» de la table pour redémarrer avec la nouvelle mise à jour. Installation du pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) Avant toute opération, veuillez vous munir des informations suivantes : - Quel est votre système d exploitation (Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 ou Windows XP/Vista64)? - Comment souhaitez-vous raccorder votre table (USB ou port parallèle)? - Relevez le numéro de série de votre pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) inscrit à l intérieur du boitier de votre CD pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante). - Munissez-vous de votre adresse e-mail. - Avez-vous une connexion Internet sur votre poste? Si oui, vous pourrez, en suivant les instructions, activer votre licence directement sur votre poste via Internet. Si non, vous devrez, en suivant les instructions, activer votre licence sur votre poste à partir d un autre poste disposant d Internet. Ne connectez pas la table avant qu il ne vous le soit demandé. Insérez le cd du pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) dans votre lecteur et démarrez l explorateur Windows. Pilote d impression Driver pour table traçante 3
Installation du pilote d impression (suite) Double-cliquez sur le programme d installation correspondant à votre système d exploitation : - Pour Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 version française : - Pour Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 version anglaise : - Pour Windows XP/Vista64 version française : - Pour Windows XP/Vista64 version anglaise : Le programme d installation se lance. Cliquez sur «Exécuter». Suivez les instructions. Lorsque le programme vous le demande, connectez la table traçante à votre ordinateur et mettez la sous tension. OU Reportez-vous au cas qui vous concerne en fonction de votre système d exploitation et de votre choix de connexion : Pour Windows XP ou 2000 avec connexion USB : - L assistant «Nouveau matériel» démarre et vous demande si vous souhaitez vous connecter à Windows Update. Choisissez «Non, pas cette fois» puis cliquez sur «Suivant». - Choisissez ensuite l installation automatique puis cliquez sur «Suivant». - L assistant vous prévient que le logiciel n est pas certifié. Cliquez sur «Continuer». - Puis cliquez sur «Terminer». Pour Windows Vista avec connexion USB : - Windows détecte un nouveau matériel. - Windows va installer le pilote d impression pour votre imprimante USB. - Choisissez «Rechercher et installer le pilote d impression». - Si Windows vous demande votre compte utilisateur, cliquez sur «Suivant». - Windows Sécurité. Windows ne peut pas vérifier l éditeur de ce pilote d impression. Choisissez «Continuer». Pour Windows XP ou 2000 ou Windows Vista avec connexion parallèle : - Continuez l installation du pilote d impression et choisissez les options appropriées. Nota : Pour les différents cas, saisissez le numéro de série de votre pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) sans espace ni ponctuation et en respectant la casse (ex : 1TC9990000) ainsi que votre adresse email. 4
Configuration du pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) Votre pilote d impression (Driver pour table traçante) est configuré avec des options par défaut vous permettant l impression de vos projets sans paramétrage. Cependant, vous pouvez modifier certaines options en fonction de vos besoins. Pour cela, faites un clic droit sur l icône de l imprimante «Logicab 2» dans le gestionnaire d impression Windows puis choisissez «Propriétés». Choix du type d écriture : Dans la fenêtre «Option d impression» accessible à partir de l onglet «Général» et la fenêtre «Impression par défaut» de l onglet «Avancé», vous pouvez choisir la méthode de tracé des polices True Type. Quatre options sont disponibles : - Substitution de Police : Les polices de caractères Windows sont substituées par la police optimisée de la table traçante (option optimisant le temps d impression mais non compatible pour les symboles). - Contour Uniquement : Chaque caractère est tracé uniquement avec son contour. - Intérieur Uniquement : Chaque caractère est tracé uniquement avec l intérieur du caractère (remplissage). - Contour et Intérieur : Chaque caractère est tracé avec son contour et l intérieur du caractère (remplissage). Choix de l amorçage de la plume : Dans l onglet «Paramètres Matériel», développez le menu «Gestion Fichier de trace» puis «Lignes de commande Fichier de trace». Vous accédez à l option «Startdoc». L option «StartDoc» permet d activer ou de désactiver l amorçage de la plume sur les plaquettes d amorçage de la table situées sur les cotés du magasin de stylo. - PP0 : Pas d amorçage sur les plaquettes. - PP1 : Amorçage activé sur les plaquettes. Conseils : - Si vous utilisez ce type d amorçage (PP1), nettoyez ou retournez systématiquement les plaquettes afin d éviter l encrassement des plumes. - Si vous n utilisez pas ce type d amorçage (PP0), vous pouvez utiliser les zones de titres des plaques de repères comme zone d amorçage. Paramétrage du moyen d impression dans Logicab 2 Démarrez Logicab 2. Cliquez sur le menu «Options/Moyen d impression». La fenêtre suivante apparaît : Cliquez sur «Choisir» pour l impression sur table traçante. La fenêtre suivante apparaît : Sélectionnez «Logicab2» puis cliquez sur «Imprimer». Cliquez sur «Validez» de la fenêtre «Choix du moyen d impression». Vous êtes maintenant prêt à imprimer avec la table traçante. 5
Fonctionnement Mettre le cadre de positionnement sur la table. Placer les supports de repères sur le cadre de positionnement. Charger les plaques de repères sur les supports de plaques correspondantes. 6
Fonctionnement (suite) Mettre sous tension la table. Monter le stylo dans le magasin. Lancer l'impression depuis le logiciel Logicab 2. IMPORTANT : En cas d'inutilisation prolongée, il est impératif d'enlever le stylo du magasin, le reboucher avec le capuchon, le stocker au frais et à l'abri de la lumière. ATTENTION : Il est nécessaire de respecter un certain laps de temps de séchage avant d'utiliser les repères marqués. 7

Registering the user key In the Logicab 2 Help menu, click on User registration. Enter the user key given inside the cover of the Logicab 2 CD. Click on Confirm. Upgrading the plotter firmware to drive with the USB port Your plotter must be turned off and connected to the computer with the Centronics parallel cable. Press simultaneously on the STOP key and the Clear Buffer key on the plotter. Keep pressing both keys and press the ON key on the plotter. The LEDS Clear Buffer and STOP switch on. Double-click on the upload logicab2_1-12a.bat file that you can find on your Logicab 2 CDRom in the D:\Upgrade_Table directory. 10
Upgrading the plotter firmware to drive with the USB port (continued) The following window appears. Select the parallel port used with the plotter (default: LPT1) then click on the Send button. Remarque: While uploading the new Firmware, in a first time, the Clear Buffer LED then the STOP LED switch on, then all the LEDS switch on and finally the plotter turn off automatically. Press on the ON key of the plotter to start it again with the new firmware. Installation of the Driver plotter Before installing the software, please gather this information: - What is the version of your operating system? (Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 or Windows XP/Vista64)? - What kind of physical cable will you use to connect your plotter to the computer (USB or parallel port)? - Make a note of the serial number of your driver given inside the cover of the plotter driver CD. - Be sure of your e-mail address. - Have you got an internet connexion on your computer? If so, you will be able, while following the instructions, to activate your licence directly on your station via the Internet. If not, you will have, while following the instructions, to activate your licence on your station starting from an other station having a connection to the Internet. Do NOT connect the plotter to your computer by any cable. Insert the CD-Rom of the plotter Driver and start the Windows Explorer. Plotter driver 11
Installation of the Driver plotter (continued) Double-click on installation program that corresponds to your operating system: - For Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 French version: - For Windows 2000/XP/Vista32 English version: - For Windows XP/Vista64 French version: - For Windows XP/Vista64 English version: The installation starts. Click on Next. Follow the instructions. When prompted, connect the plotter to your computer by plugging in the cable and power it on. OR Follow the instructions according to your operating system and your choice of connection. For Windows XP or 2000 with USB connection: - Windows Found Hardware Wizard starts and asks you if you want to connect to Windows Update. Click on No, not this time then click on Next. - Select the automatic installation then click on Next. - The Wizard shows Legrand Series X has not passed Windows Logo testing, CONTINUE ANYWAY. - Then click on Finish. For Windows Vista with USB connection, you will see the following windows: - Found New Hardware. - Windows needs to install driver software for your USB -plotter. - Locate and install Driver software. - If Windows asks you a User Account Control Question, click on Next. - Windows Security. Windows can not verify the publisher of this driver software. Install the driver anyway. For Windows XP or 2000 or Windows Vista with parallel connection port: - Continue the installation of the driver and select the appropriate options. Nota: In any case, enter the serial number of your driver without any space or punctuation and respect small and capital letters (ex: 1TC9990000) and your email address. 12
Driver configuration Your driver is parameterized with default options. Anyway, you can modify some options depending on your needs. Right click on the Logicab 2 icon from your Windows printer Folder and select Printing Preferences. Select the printing mode: In the Printing preferences windows from the General tab and the Printing Defaults windows from the Advanced tab, you can choose the True Type Fonts Output: Four options are available: - Substitute Device Font: Characters fonts are substituted by optimized plotter font. This option shortens the printing time but is not compatible with the use of symbols. - Outline Only: Each character is traced with its outline only. - Fill Only: Only the inside of each character is filled up. - Fill and Outline: Each character is outlined and filled up. Select the priming plate start: In the Device Settings tab, extend the Job Control menu then Job Control String. You reach the Startdoc option. The "StartDoc" option of the "Job Control String sub-menu makes it possible to activate or deactivate the starting of the pen on the priming plates of the plotter near the pen station. - PP0: No starting up. - PP1: starting up activated. Advice: - If you start printing systematically on the priming plate (PP1), clean up the surface or return the plate each time to prevent the pen from clogging. - If you do not use the priming plate for a start (PP0), you can use the title zone of the marker sheets as a priming zone. Print set up in Logicab 2 software Start Logicab 2. Click on Options/Printing device Menu. The following window appears: Click on print with plotter and Select : The following window appears: Select Logicab 2 then Print. Click on Confirm in the Select a printing device window. You are ready now to print with your plotter. 13
Operation Place the positioning frame on the plotter. Place the marker supports on the positioning frame. Load the marker plates on the corresponding support frames. 14
Operation (continued) Power up the plotter. Mount the pen in the pen station. Start the printing from the Logicab 2 software. IMPORTANT: If out of use for an extended period, you must remove the pen from the pen station, recap it, and store it in a cool place away from sunlight. CAUTION: You should allow a moment of drying time before using the printed markers. 15
