Upon completion of her postdoctoral training and research (1999-2004) at Prof. Langer's group at the department of Chemical Engineering at MIT, she received a faculty appointment in the Technion s department of Biomedical Engineering. In the Technion she is conducting interdisciplinary research on tissue engineering and stem cells using biodegradable polymers. Prof. LEVENBERG was
awarded the 2006 Krill price of the Wolf foundation for excellence in scientific research. She was also nominated as a Research Leader in Tissue Engineering by the Scientific American Journal (the 2006 Scientific American 50 Award). In 2007, Prof. LEVENBERG received The Henry Taub Prize for Academic Excellence and in 2008 was awarded the France- Israel Foundation Prize for scientific excellence in stem cell research. To achieve these goals, his team develops a tool that is based on Nano Artificial NOSE (NA- NOSE) as well as artificial skin, which makes use of cross- selective and sensitive sensor arrays that are trained in their ensemble to detect disease biomarkers. These bio- inspired systems are used to screen and identify high- risk groups for specific disease, and monitor the therapy provided to people affected by that disease to establish point- of- care diagnostics and less invasive treatments. Après le petit déjeuner, départ pour la visite de la vieille ville de Jérusalem. En commençant par une vue panoramique de la vieille ville à partir du Mont des Oliviers. Descente vers Gethsemani, le jardin des Oliviers où Jésus passa sa dernière nuit. Entrée dans la ville par la Porte des Lions vers l'eglise Sainte Anne et les piscines de Bethesda. Marche le long du Chemin de Croix traditionnel vers le Saint Sépulcre qui abrite le mont du Golgotha et la tombe de Jésus selon la tradition catholique. Le Saint Sépulcre est également constitué de nombreuses chapelles que nous découvrirons en parallèle des différentes églises (cultes) qui gèrent la basilique et les lieux sacrés. Nous continuerons notre chemin vers le dernier vestige du Second Temple, le Mur Occidental (dit aussi Mur des Lamentations). Vers 16h30 départ pour Haïfa et installation au Dan Carmel en chambre Deluxe. Le soir, dîner au restaurant Dozan dans le quartier animé de la «Moshava Hagermanit», en présence de Professeurs Français du Technion. Dimanche 1 juin 2014 TECHNION Après le petit déjeuner, transfert vers le Technion. Journée consacré à la visite et aux conférences sur le campus. En fin d après-midi, transfert retour au Dan Carmel. Le soir, Dîner de Gala dans le restaurant panoramique Rondo de l hôtel, en présence de la Gouvernance du Technion ainsi que du Prix Nobel de Chimie 2011, le Professeur Dan Shechtman. Lundi 2 juin 2014 TECHNION ET RETOUR Après le petit déjeuner, transfert vers le Technion. Matinée de visites.
