The IC School is one of the main European centers for education and research in the field of Information Technology. Divided into two teaching Sections, Computer Science and Communication Systems, the School of Computer and Communication Sciences has three main missions : Education, Research and Technology transfer. The EPFL s School of Computer and Communication Sciences gives great importance to creating value from the knowledge gained by its graduates as well as from research conducted in its laboratories. The value creation process is encouraged through partnerships with industries in pioneering fields, through the creation of start-up companies and through R&D projects sponsored by the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI).
