Starting as a young man, this remarkable connoisseur has made countless visits to the region purchasing and building up an exceptional knowledge of the very finest wines available. The result is one of the most distinguished and illustrious collections of Burgundy in the United States.

Don Stott has an unerring feel for quality and this shines out from each and every wine in this collection. Don Stott has led a fascinating and varied life throughout which his love of wine has loomed large. He first visited France in the early 1960s and returned with bottles of some of the most renowned Burgundies of that or any era. Don Stott would soon become a regular fixture in the region, visiting top producers and gaining access to some of the rarest and most sought after wines. His reputation as a wine connoisseur was matched only by his standing on Wall Street where he enjoyed a long and distinguished career, largely at specialist firm Wagner Stott Mercator. In addition, Don Stott was a world champion fisherman known for landing large and extraordinary specimens. HIGHLIGHTS The sale of the Stott Collection presents a rare opportunity for wine lovers to acquire mature Burgundies spanning more than 50 years, many of which seldom appear at auction.
