This comprises providing the architecture and specifications of the MCMS, including the definition and description of the modules and subsystems inside it. Description of work This work package includes the following tasks: Task 2.1 Overall System Architecture. Definition and specification of the overall system architecture, including the IMS-based MCMS system, the enhanced multimedia services, the core transport network, the UMTS access network, the Media Server and Resource Function (MSRF), and the terminal-side Terminal Adaptation Module. The various modules and their external interfaces will be identified and their functionalities will be described, in order to be used by other WPs/Tasks for detailed specification and implementation. Definition and specification of the Demonstrator configuration and the detailed block diagram for the use cases that will be employed to show the technical features and advantages of ADAMANTIUM system. The main efforts of this task will be performed by partners ERC, VOD, DEM and VIO. 7
