Consultants History Ingélux was created in 2001 in the area of Lyon, France, to value the research that was conducted at the CNRS (French National Scientific Research Center) on natural and artificial light in building and urban applications. The company was started by 2 young architects-engineers, Laurent Escaffre and Christophe Marty, both associate directors, who still manage the company. Since that date, Ingelux has grown steadily and counts now 13 highly skilled and experienced employees. Ingélux is an independent and privately owned company with 4 shareholders. Positionning Ingélux is an innovative lighting design and engineering office which uniquely combines a sensitive approach of light together with a strong scientific background. We aim at being the preferred partner of professionals (architects, engineering firms, municipalities, urban planners, manufacturers, public research labs) for indoor and outdoor lighting applications. We strive to help them achieving their goals by creating high quality luminous environments, at day and night, with the smallest impact on the environment and the lowest energy consumption. Our long lasting cooperation with renown architects, global engineering firms, leading property developers, urban planners of large cities and key manufacturers makes our application knowledge always up to date and accurate. We are involved in international research and development programs on fundamental needs of lighting applications in order to consolidate our knowledge and methodologies in this field. Ingelux is also engaged in a number of international initiatives which aim at using light and its enabling technologies in the best possible way (IEA - CIE - Greenlight etc.. ) Approach Our mix of architectural and engineering backgrounds has made us able to develop strong listening and understanding skills towards very different type of stakeholders (artists, architects, engineers, investors, users, deficient people, ). We use this specific competence to translate the different needs into satisfactory lighting requirements for all and to which we eventually answer with meaningful and reliable solutions. Projects are realized according to well-structured processes and are supported by project management principles.
