8 Introduction / Présentation DCIN/DCIHN - K1 Level of qualification The DCIN and DCIHN connector family are tested and qualified to meet the requirements of K1 conditions and test specification HM /4. Description The DCIN and DCIHN connector family uses a screw coupling mating system for secure and reliable performance in service. Socket contacts are available in crimp style terminations and Pin contacts are available in solder cup for Hermetic receptacles. Crimp style contacts are serviceable and can be easily removed and reinstalled using the recommended insertion and extraction tooling specified in this catalogue. The receptacle is supplied with a circular or a square flange, and can be secured by welding or screw fixings dependent upon installation requirements. The plug is supplied in kit without resin and assembled at the factory or on site following the qualified procedure implementation. Following to the new cable K1 evolution, a new accessory has been developed to provide a braid termination. Applications DCIN and DCIHN connectors are design to be used on all Pressurized Water Reactors in K1 zones to allow secure connection to qualified electrical equipment such as sensors, transmitters, limit switches and sensitive control equipment. Niveau de qualification La famille des connecteurs DCIN et DCIHN est qualifiée K1 suivant les exigences de la spécification d'essais HM /4. Description La famille des connecteurs DCIN et DCIHN utilise un système d accouplement à visser, garantissant ainsi un verrouillage sécurisé et fiable. Les contacts femelles sont raccordés par sertissage et les contacts mâles des embases hermétiques sont raccordés par soudage. Les contacts à sertir peuvent être facilement démontés et réinstallés à l aide des outils d insertion et d extraction spécifiés dans ce catalogue. L embase est prévue avec une collerette ronde ou carrée, et peut être fixée par soudure ou avec des vis de fixation en fonction des exigences de l installation. La fiche est livrée en kit sans résine et assemblée en usine ou sur site suivant la procédure de mise en œuvre qualifiée. Suite à l évolution du câble K1, un nouvel accessoire a été développé, afin d assurer une continuité de blindage. Applications Ces connecteurs DCIN et DCIHN sont conçus pour être utilisés sur toutes tranches Réacteurs à Eau Pressurisée en zone K1, pour le raccordement sécurisé aux équipements électriques qualifiés tels que des capteurs, des transmetteurs, des fins de courses et tous équipements de contrôle sensible. 6

Pin and Socket contacts are crimp style termination. They are serviceable and can be easily removed and reinstalled using the recommended insertion and extraction tooling specified in this catalogue. Receptacle connectors are available in two styles, jam-nut mounting using a secure panel nut or a square flange receptacle which can be installed using screw fixings. Applications ADSN connectors are suitable for all connection requirements for electrical equipment which need safe and quick installation.
