FUNDAMENTALS OF BUSINESS (20 HOURS) This course provides students with an overview and understanding of business fundamentals, including basic concepts in Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources and Sales Management. The course will examine management theory and its practical application in a business environment and critical factors in developing and operating a business. FUNDAMENTALS OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR (20 HOURS) As organizations continue to globalize and diversify their client and employee bases, a critical resource for achieving success is talent: smart, sophisticated business people who are technologically literate, globally astute, and operationally agile. In this course, students will study the complexities of human behavior in an organizational context with an emphasis on: motivation, communication, leadership, negotiation, and group dynamics. WHAT WE DO FOR YOU We have experienced teaching faculty with hands-on expertise. Instructors are accessible before and after class, by appointment, or online through mycourses to guide your studies. Each student is provided with required course materials and will have access to McGill University s personalized online student interface, mycourses, and the university s web-based, information system, Minerva. APPENDIX A PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BILL 65: The Act Respecting Access to Information Held by Public Bodies and the Protection of Personal Information. Personal information is protected by legislation in the Province of Quebec.
