Supplement 3 to ARINC Specification 816: Embedded Interchange Format for Airport Mapping Database ARINC Project Paper 814: Extensible Markup Language (XML) Encoding and Compression Standard. Comments or questions regarding any of the agenda items are invited. If you wish any material to be circulated prior to the meetings, please submit your proposals by July 15, The meeting is open to all interested parties. Individuals requesting time on the agenda should contact Peter Grau at: pgrau@sae-itc.org. The agenda will be finalized one week prior to the meeting. ARINC Standards are intended to compliment RTCA documents of the same subject matter. Consequently, they follow preceding RTCA developments and schedules. Airport Mapping Database (AMDB): The purpose of this meeting is to continue development of Supplement 3 to ARINC Specification 816: Embedded Interchange Format for Airport Mapping Database. The goal is to align ARINC Specification 816 with RTCA DO-272: User Requirements for Aerodrome Mapping Information and RTCA DO-291: Interchange Standards for Terrain, Obstacle and Aerodrome Mapping Data. Updates for Supplement 3 to ARINC Specification 816 are expected to include: Preferred and low visibility taxi routes Airport lighting Extension of the ASRN (Aerodrome Surface Routing Network) Enhanced taxiway holding position attributes Improved taxiway intersection rendering Revised major/minor taxiway definitions Model and Schema corrections Three dimensional support ARINC Project Paper 814: Extensible Markup Language (XML) Encoding and Compression Standard is being developed by the XML Working Group as described in APIM The goal is to define an ARINC XML encoding and compression standard to optimize storage and processing efficiency on the aircraft side. Modifications to ARINC Project Paper 814 will be made as required to support development of Supplement 3 to ARINC 816. Reference /SMA-884 lth Page 2

3 ARINC Project Paper 815: Embedded Interchange Format for Terrain and Obstacle Databases. The goal is to align ARINC Project Paper 815 with RTCA DO-276: User Requirements for Terrain and Obstacle Data and RTCA DO- 291: Interchange Standards for Terrain, Obstacle and Aerodrome Mapping Data. This new standard is in response to AEEC Executive Committee approval of APIM Travel Information The Thales facility is in Toulouse, France. Toulouse is served by Blagnac International Airport (TLS). Please see the map below. Public transportation from downtown: Use the metro up to Basso combo terminal stop then take the bus number 53 up to Avionique Stop.
