2 Nederlands Doelstelling: Door het werken met de verschillende ontwikkelingsmaterialen hebben kinderen zich begrippen en denkrelaties eigen gemaakt. Keerom maakt duidelijk of kinderen zover zijn, dat ze deze relaties ook aktief kunnen gebruiken. Beschrijving: - een werkbord (30 x 30 cm). Op het werkbord bevindt zich een kleurencirkel die uit losse segmenten bestaat. In het midden zitten drie pinnetjes, waardoor de opdrachtkaarten slechts op één manier kunnen worden gelegd. - een handleiding. Voor het Keerom werkbord zijn diverse series opdrachtkaarten verschenen, die apart kunnen worden besteld. Elke serie bestaat uit 12 kunststof opdrachtkaarten in een kist (21,5 x 21,5 cm) met deksel. Tot nu toe verschenen: Vijf series opdrachtkaarten met steeds wisselende onderwerpen. Allerlei begrippen en denkrelaties komen in deze series aan de orde: hoeveelheid, plaatsbepaling, vormen, patronen, afmetingen etc. Keerom 3 is met name gericht op jongere kleuters door het gebruik van wat minder gedetailleerde tekeningen. Keerom Natuur is gebaseerd op oefeningen die de natuur als onderwerp hebben. Keerom Tijd is gebaseerd op oefeningen rondom het begrip tijd. Werkwijze: - leg alle gekleurde segmenten naast het bord. - kies één van de 12 opdrachtkaarten en leg die op het bord. De opdrachtkant, dat is de kant waar de cirkels door elkaar staan, moet naar boven liggen. - begin bij een willekeurig vakje van de buitencirkel van de opdrachtkaart. Bij dit vakje hoort één van de afbeeldingen op het midden van de kaart. - kijk welke afbeelding bij dit vakje hoort. Welke kleur zit daaromheen? - leg het segment van dezelfde kleur tegen het vakje van de buitencirkel aan. 3

3 Nederlands - ga zo door totdat alle segmenten tegen een vakje zijn aangelegd. - keer de opdrachtkaart om. Nu is te zien of de gekleurde segmenten tegen de juiste vakjes zijn aangelegd. Als het goed is, zijn de kleuren van de buitenrand gelijk aan de kleuren van de aangelegde segmenten. 4 English Objective: Turn Over is a perceptual matching game. It provides a host of challenges in making logical relationships, and develops the basic skills necessary for reading, writing and arithmetic. Fundamental perceptual skills of directionality, visual discrimination, cause and effect relationships, and shape and pattern recognition are reinforced in these exercises. Turn Over has a built-in mechanism for selfcorrection, which promotes self-esteem by allowing the child to correct her/his own errors, as opposed to having them pointed out by the teacher. Turn Over is well suited to children four through twelve years of age. These exercises are also appropriate for remedial teaching with children of all ages. Contents: - a wooden activity board with an inset colour wheel. The colour wheel is made up of 12 coloured segments that are removed to do the different activities. Three pegs on the activity board insure that the exercise cards are placed in the proper position on the board. - instructions. Together with the Turn Over activity board various series of exercise cards can be ordered. Each series consists of 12 plastic exercise cards in a box (21.5 x 21.5 x 2 cm) with lid. Up to now the following articles have been introduced onto the market: Five series of exercise cards, always with changing subjects. All kinds of concepts and patterns of thought come up in these series: quality, orientation, forms, patterns, sizes, etc. Turn Over 3 is especially aimed at small children because of the use of less detailed illustrations. Turn Over Nature is based on exercises which have nature as a subject. Turn Over Time is based on exercises which have time as a subject. How to use Turn Over: Place the activity board on the table and remove the coloured segments. Select one of the exercise cards and identify the theme, 5

5 English e.g., "What is missing?" Position it on the activity board using the pegs as a guide. There are two sides to each exercise card. One side has coloured circles in the center of the card, which is the side used for the exercise. The other side has a colour wheel on the border of the card and is the side used to correct the exercise. Begin with any picture in the outer circle, e.g., the belt. Find what is missing by searching through the pictures in the inner circle for the corresponding part (in this case, the buckle in the purple circle). Place the purple segment in the space next to the belt indicating that the buckle is the part that is missing from the belt. Continue to select items from the outer circle and find what is missing by choosing the coloured circle in the center with the appropriate item. Match the corresponding colour segment to the picture and continue until the entire colour wheel is complete. By turning the exercise card over, the child is now able to check her/his work. Correct answers are indicated by the colour wheel on the card matching the colour wheel the child has constructed on the activity board while doing the exercise. When the colours do not match, the child can easily see her/his error and make the appropriate correction. 6 Deutsch Ziel: Durch den Umgang mit den verschiedenen Entwicklungsmaterialien haben Kinder sich Begriffe und Gedächtniszusammenhänge (Denkrelationen) angeeignet. Dreh-um macht deutlich, ob die Kinder soweit sind, dass sie diese Begriffe und Relationen auch aktiv verwenden können. Inhalt: - ein Arbeitsbrett (30 x 30 cm). Auf dem Arbeitsbrett befindet sich ein aus losen Einzelsegmenten bestehender Farbkreis. In der Mitte des Brettes befinden sich drei Feststeller; diese bewirken, das die Auftragskarten nur auf eine einzige Art und Weise ausgelegt werden können. - einer Anleitung. Zum Dreh-um Arbeitsbrett sind verschiedene Serien Auftragskarten erschienen, die gesondert bestellt werden können. Jede Serie dieser Auftragskarten besteht aus: - 12 Auftragskarten aus Kunststoff in einem Kasten mit Deckel (21,5 x 21,5 x 2 cm). Bisher sind erschienen: Fünf Serien Auftragskarten mit stets wechselnden Grundthemen. Allerlei Begriffe und Denkrelationen werden in diesen Serien behandelt: Menge, Ortsbestimmung, Formen, Muster, Abmessungen etc. Dreh-um 3 ist die für jüngere Kinder gedacht; die Zeichnungen sind daher weniger detailliert ausgeführt. Dreh-um Natur basiert auf Übungen, welche die Natur als Grundthema haben. Dreh-um Zeit basiert auf Übungen welche die Zeit als Grundthema haben. Arbeitsweise: - lege alle farbigen Segmente neben das Arbeitsbrett. - wähle eine Auftragskarte und lege diese mit der Auftragsseite nach oben auf das Brett! Die Auftragsseite ist die Seite, auf der die Kreise gemischt sind. 7

7 Deutsch - beginne mit einem willkürlichen Fach des Außenkreises der Auftragskarte! Zu diesem Fach gehört eine der Abbildungen in der Mitte der Karte. - suche aus, welche Abbildung zu diesem Fach gehört! Welche Farbe ist darum herum? - lege das Segment derselben Farbe am Fach des Außenkreises an und gehe so weiter, bis alle Segmente an einem Fach angelegt sind! - drehe die Auftragskarte um! Es ist jetzt festzustellen, ob die farbigen Segmenten an den richtigen Fächern angelegt worden sind. Alle Farben des Außenrandes müssen gleich sein mit den Farben der angelegten Segmenten. 8 Français Objectif: En travaillant avec les différents types de matériel pédagogique, les enfants se sont familiarisés aux concepts et aux relations des idées. Le Cercle permet de voir si les enfants peuvent également utiliser ces relations activement. C'est un matériel autocorrectif, développant des capacités de raisonnement. Contenu: - une tableau de travail en bois (30 x 30 cm). Cette tableau de travail comporte un cercle de couleurs constitué de segments détachables. Trois petites pointes se dressent au centre, on ne peut y déposer les cartes d'exercices que d'une seule manière. - une notice pédagogique Avec le tableau de travail du Cercle, on peut commender des différentes séries de cartes d'exercices. Chaque série se compose de: - 12 cartes d'exercices, réalisées en plastique, dans une boîte munie avec un couvercle (21,5 x 21,5 x 2 cm). Jusqu'à présent les articles suivants ont été mis sur le marché: Cinq séries de cartes d'exercices avec des sujets constamment changeant. Toutes sortes de concepts et de relations d'idées sont traités dans ces séries: quantité, locations, formes, modèles, dimensions, etc. Le Cercle 3 vise notamment les jeunes enfants en utilisant des illustrations moins détaillés. Le Cercle Nature est fondé sur les exercices qui ont la nature comme thème. Le Cercle Temps est fondé sur les exercises qui ont l heure comme thème. Méthode: - déposer tous les segments en couleur à côté du tableau de travail. - choisir un des douze cartes d'exercices et la poser sur le tableau de travail. Le côté "exercice", c'est-à-dire le côté qui comporte les cercles, doit être tourné vers le haut. 9

9 Français - commencer par une des cases du cercle extérieur du carte d'exercice. A cette case ne correspond qu'une seule des représentations du milieu de la carte. - déterminer quelle représentation correspond à cette case. Quelle couleur l'entoure? - placer le segment de même couleur contre la case du cercle extérieur. - continuer de la sorte jusqu'à ce que toutes les segments soient placés contre une case. - retourner la carte d'exercice. Il est ainsi possible de voir si les segments en couleur ont été posés à côté des cases correspondantes. Si le résultat est bon, les couleurs du bord extérieur doivent être identiques à celles des pièces disposées.
