2 ÉDITO Avertissement : Cet annuaire illustre la richesse et la diversité des acteurs de la Recherche à Télécom ParisTech, il n est toutefois pas exhaustif puisqu il se limite aux profils de ceux qui ont souhaité y figurer La parution de cette nouvelle mouture du «Faculty Book» de Télécom ParisTech coïncide avec le lancement de la Stratégie de la Recherche de notre établissement pour la période Et, dans cette deuxième édition, j ai tenu à intégrer une plus grande diversité des acteurs de la recherche, enseignants-chercheurs, chercheurs ou ingénieurs à diverses étapes de leur carrière. En effet, les bouleversements majeurs qui vont accompagner l arrimage historique de l École à l Université Paris-Saclay dès son lancement en 2014, tout comme l envergure des quatre ambitions de notre stratégie pour répondre à ce challenge complexe, confèrent, plus que jamais, un rôle central à nos forces de recherche et à leur richesse dans la réussite de cette mutation. Ces quatre ambitions de Télécom ParisTech en matière de recherche concentrent les besoins inhérents à la période sur les plans, humains, organisationnels, de la valorisation et des moyens : l l l l Concrétiser sa posture de Centre de Recherche Pluridisciplinaire de référence en Europe sur le Numérique, calé sur des expertises fondamentales ; Accroître son attractivité nationale et internationale à l attention des meilleurs doctorants, des jeunes chercheurs de talent et des de grande envergure en mobilité ; Doper son rôle de Catalyseur du transfert, de la valorisation et de l innovation par le Numérique ; Devenir, à Saclay, une véritable Agora Scientifique du Numérique pour tous ceux qui s intéressent aux avancées et à l impact du Numérique. En filigrane, la hauteur et la surface de ces quatre ambitions stratégiques font écho au niveau élevé (évalué A+ en 2010 par l AERES) et reconnu internationalement de nos forces de recherche, à la grande variété de leurs activités (recherche, enseignement, management, essaimage) et à l immense complémentarité de leurs expertises. Nos forces couvrent, de manière tout à fait unique en Europe, tous les champs du Numérique et sont organisées en quatre départements disciplinaires : Communications-Électronique, Traitement du Signal et des Images (2D, 3D), Informatique & Réseaux et Sciences Économiques et Sociales. Ainsi, notre stratégie scientifique met en avant cinq «AXSEs», AXes Stratégiques d Établissement (transversaux), qui présentent un gros potentiel fédérateur et résument notre positionnement scientifique dans le Numérique en cohérence avec des défis sociétaux : l l l l l Big Data : Dynamique des Données et des Connaissances Confiance Numérique : Sécurité, Sûreté et Risques Très grands Réseaux et Systèmes Interactions Réel / Virtuel Approche Interdisciplinaire de l Innovation À l aube d une période clé pour la Recherche de Télécom ParisTech, l égrenage du contenu des pages de ce Faculty Book inspire une grande confiance dans l avenir de nos travaux, tant il révèle des profils d exception de nos acteurs de la Recherche.
