3 The aim of this paper is to provide general guidance for setting up information and assistance networks (National Contact Points) in all Member States and Associated Countries (as well as FP7 contacts in some third countries), taking into account the experience of preceding Framework Programmes and the challenges of FP7. It addresses the network architecture, the nomination and recognition process and the operational modalities. Slide: 3

9 The work of FP7 NCPs (1) EoI: : expression of interest August 2006 for setting up the French NCP system for FP7 Basic services as set out in Guiding Principles such as: drawing awareness & spreading information,, website, phone/fax/ helpdesk, seminars, workshops, one-to to-one one consulting, Personalised support to researchers preparing proposals and contracts, Feedback to DG Research,, Exchanging information with and signposting clients to EEN etc. Slide: 9
