1. Description du produit / Product description La prise @XS permet le raccordement optique de l abonné au réseau. Elle est dédiée soit aux raccords terrain, soit aux épissures mécaniques ou fusion. PRISE OPTIQUE @XS The @XS optical outlet allows the user to be connected to an optical network. It allows either the use of field connectors or mechanical /fusion splicing. Fixer le raccord optique sur le socle / Fixing the optical adapter into the base Si le raccord optique n est pas préinstallé, il doit, de préférence, être fixé sur le chariot amovible de droite. 1. Ôter les bouchons de protection en caoutchouc situés sur le(s) raccord(s) avant toute fixation. 2. Clipper le raccord optique sur le chariot amovible situé à l intérieur du socle (angle de 90 et encoches face au mur). 3. Faire pivoter le raccord vers l intérieur du socle. If the optical adapter is not preinstalled, preferably fix it on the right optical adapter. 1. Remove the rubber caps from the optical adapter(s) prior to any fixation. 2. Clip the optical adapter on the optical guide located in the base (90 angle, slots facing the wall ). 3. Turn the optical adapter inwards the base. 2/6
4. Positions du câble abonné / Positions of the subscriber s cable PRISE OPTIQUE @XS S il ne provient pas de l intérieur du mur, le câble abonné peut arriver sur les côtés ou en dessous de la prise. If not coming from inside the wall, the subscriber s cable may come from the side or from under the outlet. Dans le cas où le câble abonné provient d un boîtier d encastrement mural, consulter la notice d installation du tambour d encastrement (ABS 1132). If the subscriber s cable comes from a wall box, please refer to the ABS 1132 notice to install the cable winding kit. 5. Fixer la prise optique au mur / Fixing the optical outlet on the wall Avant de fixer la prise, découper proprement au cutter les zones sécables situées sur le côté ou en dessous du corps de la prise, selon besoin. 1. Lôver le câble abonné conformément à l illustration ci-dessous. Veiller à caler le câble dans les passe-câbles. 2. Faire sortir le câble par l orifice situé en bas à gauche du socle et l attacher avec un raccord plastique. Dans le cas où le raccord à été monté à gauche du socle, le lovage s effectue dans le sens inverse et le cable sort par l orifice situé en bas à droite du socle. Prior to any fixation, neatly cut the cuttable areas located under the base or on its side, according to your needs. 1. Coil the suscriber s cable according to the illustration below. Make sure to place the cable into the cable guides. 2. The suscriber s cable shall exit by the opening located on the bottom left side of the base. Fix it with a plastic collar. In case the adapter was installed on the left of the base, the coiling has to be done anti-clockwise, and the cable shall exit from the opening on the bottom right. Deux solutions sont possibles : le raccord terrain (6. Option 1) ou l épissurage (6. Option 2). There are two solutions: the use of a connector (6. Option 1) or a splicing (6. Option 2). 6. Option 1 : Monter un connecteur terrain SC-PC ou SC-APC / Assembling an SC-PC or an SC-APC connector Le lovage peut être réalisé avec la fiche installée dans le raccord. 1. Réaliser la connexion avec le connecteur mécanique. 2. Lover la fibre optique dans le tambour de lovage. 3. Au dernier tour, veiller à faire passer le câble dans le passe-câble en partie haute, comme indiqué ci-dessous. 4. Brancher le raccord terrain. The socket can be plugged into the adapter before the coiling procedure starts. 1. Plug the mechanical connector. 2. Coil the optical fiber on the coiling circle. 3. During the last lap, make sure to fix the cable in the upper cable guide as indicated below. 4. Plug the connector. Option 2 : Réaliser l épissurage mécanique et fusion / Fusion and mechanical splicing L épissurage doit être réalisé avant le lovage (épissure fusion). Le lovage peut être réalisé avec la fiche installée dans le raccord. 1. Fixer l épissure 40 mm dans son logement. 2. Lover la microgaine et le pigtail dans le tambour de lovage. 3. Au dernier tour, veiller à faire passer le câble dans le passe-câble en partie haute (voir illustration cidessus). The splicing of the fibers must be done prior to any coiling procedure (fusion splicing). The socket can be plugged into the adapter before the coiling procedure starts. 1. Affix a 40 mm splice. 2. Start coiling both the microsheath and the pigtail on the coiling circle. 3. During the last lap, make sure to fix the cable in the upper cable guide as illustrated above. DO NOT PULL ON THE FIBER VIOLENTLY. RISK OF FIBER DAMAGE. 5/6
Pour retirer le couvercle / How to remove the cover 1. Prendre un tournevis plat. 2. Insérer le tournevis dans une des deux fentes du couvercle. 3. Faire pivoter le tournevis délicatement, jusqu à ce que le couvercle se souleve. 4. Si besoin, répéter les étapes 2 et 3 avec la 2e fente. 5. Ôter le couvercle manuellement. 1. Take a flat screwdriver. 2. Insert the screwdriver into one of the two slots of the outlet. 3. Slowly turn the screwdriver until the cover can be lifted manually. 4.
