DESCRIPTION CHEMDUR L is a ready to use one-composent product, based on an elastomeric acrylic aqueous dispersion. The dry film has exceptional elasticity to fill microcraks, good protective to proprietes and weatherability minimise water and chloride intrusion. TYPES TYPE M TYPE S TYPE T : Medium : Sand. : Textured or Simulated Stucco. SYSTEMS Medium Finish: Sand Finishes: Textured Finish or Simulated Stucco Type M (2 coats). Type S Base Coat Type M (1 coat). Finish Coat Type S (1 coat). Type T Base Coat Type M (1 coat). Finish Coat Type T (1 coat). ADVANTAGES Excellent adhesion and permanent elasticity. Resists ultraviolet (UV) rays. Lets the substrate breathe. Bridges cracks and micro fissures. Excellent color retention. Available in a variety of decorative colors. Resists mildew and fungus growth. Complies with voc regulations across North America. Can Contribute to LEED points.
USES Exterior or interior. Renovation, maintenance or new construction. For use on surfaces not subjected to traffic. A flexible and impermeable coating that breathes: for concrete structures and facades, concrete block, brick and stucco. For residential and commercial buildings, institutions, columns, bridges, overpasses, retaining walls, etc. RECOMMENDATIONS When it is known that there could be accumulations of snow or deicing salts against the coated surface, prior to the application of CHEMDUR L, a coat of a silane water proofing sealer (CHEMDUR S M 20) should be applied. CHEMDUR S M 20 should be applied to the maximum height of known snow and ice accumulation (columns, foundation or retaining walls, bridges etc.) See separate technical data sheet for CHEMDUR S M 20. CHEMDUR L application can proceed the following day. LIMITATIONS Being a water-based product, it must be protected from freezing. Surfaces to be coated must be sound, clean and free of all contamination. Not for recoating of finishes other than CHEMDUR L without prior consultation with CHEMDUR Technical Service. Do not apply on frozen surfaces. Do not apply when there is a risk of rain or freezing or on over-heated surfaces. The minimum ambient and surface temperature for application is 7 C, during application and for at least 18 hours following. Do not use on surfaces that will be subjected to traffic.
