Due to a manufacturing problem on the toner collection bottles (height of the neck not at the specified dimension), air leakage may appear around the cap of the collection bottle. To avoid such problem, the 3 mm-thick cyclone cap gasket has been modified to 6 mm thickness. In order to use these bottles in normal condition of operation, it is required to replace the current gasket by the new 6 mm gasket. The kits of toner collection bottles will be delivered with 1 new gasket of 6 mm (reference of the kit does not change) For the kits of bottles which still have been delivered, it is possible to separately order the gaskets of 6 mm thick. It is recommended to change the gasket during the preventive maintenance. 1 DISASSEMBLY - Open the toner bottle access door. - Unscrew the cap (1) and remove the full bottle (2). - Unscrew the 4 screws located on the 2 half moons. Page 2
- Remove the cap (1) of the cyclone - Remove the ring (3) of the cap - Unscrew the 4 screws holding the gasket support - Remove the assembly gasket support - Take the gasket support and remove the old gasket - Clean the gasket support with alcohol to remove all the toner and the adhesive of the gasket - Put a new gasket 47281451-013 (thickness 6 mm) Page 3
2 REASSEMBLY - Reassemble the cap. - Screw the 4 screws on the cap - Put the ring (3) on the cap - Assemble the cap on the cyclone - Put the half moons in place, put a braid on one of the 4 screws, and screw the 4 screws. - Install the toner recovery bottle. Page 4
Technical Service Bulletin PRODUIT DATE DE CREATION DATE DE MODIFICATION DOSSIER TOUTE IMPRIMANTE 08/07/2011 201108 REV A JOINT BOUTEILLE RECUPERATION D ENCRE Suite à un défaut de fabrication sur les bouteilles de récupération d encre (hauteur du col de la bouteille non conforme à la spécification), il peut se produire des fuites d air au niveau de la bouteille de récupération. Afin de corriger ce problème, le joint de 3 mm d épaisseur permettant d assurer l étanchéité de la bouteille a été modifié et passé à 6 mm tout en restant compatible avec les anciennes bouteilles. Pour utiliser les bouteilles de récupération d encre dans des conditions normales d utilisation, il est donc demandé d échanger le joint actuel par ce nouveau joint d épaisseur 6 mm. Les kits de bouteilles de récupération d encre seront donc livrés avec 1 joint inclus dans le kit de 6 bouteilles (la référence du kit ne change pas). Pour les kits de bouteilles de récupération ayant déjà été livrés, il est possible de commander les joints de façon séparée. Par ailleurs, il est recommandé de changer ce joint dans le cadre de la maintenance préventive. 1 DEMONTAGE - Ouvrir la porte d'accès à la bouteille de récupération d'encre. - Dévisser la bague (1) et retirer le bidon plein (2). - Dévisser les quatre vis placées sur les deux demi-lunes Page 6
- Retirer la bague (1) du cyclone - Retirer l anneau (3) de la bague - Dévisser les quatre vis de maintien du support joint - Démonter l ensemble Support joint - Prendre le support joint et enlever le joint usé - Nettoyer le support joint à l alcool isopropylique pour enlever tout le toner collé et l adhésif du joint - Mettre un joint neuf 47281451-013 (épaisseur plus importante) Page 7
2 REMONTAGE - Remonter l ensemble - Visser les quatre vis sur la bague - Replacer l anneau (3) - Remonter la bague sur le cyclone - Placer les demi lunes, placer une tresse de masse sur l une des quatre vis et serrer les quatre vis - Remonter le bidon de récupération de toner Page 8
