En bouche, le vin est remarquablement structuré, souple et équilibré.» Andréas Larsson Sur site Tastedmag.com journée du 12 juillet 2012 : Château Branda is composed of 4 plots of calcareous clay soil and calcareous rocks. The terroir is of great quality. The château has been acquired by the current owner in 1998 and he has hugely invested in the property since. The vineyards are harvested plot by plot and the grapes are meticulously sorted with the greatest care. Château Branda used to belong to the Générale des Eaux. The current owner also bought Vieux Château Chambeau in Lussac Saint Emilion. As far as the buildings are concerned, everything remained pretty much as it used to be, because the installations were already of very good quality and in good repair. Yet the new owner reduced the crops by 25% in order to increase the concentration of the wine and therefore its quality. The consultant of the property is Pascal Chatonnet, who is responsible for a tremendous amount of research on the impact of wood on wine. Today, the wines of Château Branda are sold more expensively than those of Château Chambeau. This is also due to the use of new wood in the elaboration of the wines of Château Branda. At the present moment, the wines are distributed directly to supermarkets, mainly in Belgium. The price per bottle is approximately 10 per bottle. The price for a bottle of Château Chambeau oscillates around 7-8 per bottle. Other important markets for Château Branda are Switzerland, French Polynesia and Canada. Minimum intervention and environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced and the quality has been drastically increased since the acquisition in 1998. The wines of the property are mostly Merlot driven. The different lots of wines of Château Branda are blended together in stainless steel tanks. This constant blending allows for very homogenous quality of the wines. The wines are stored and fined in concrete vats before being bottled and then stored at constant temperature conditions before shipment. 1

Après des débuts dans un registre large d épaules, Branda a bien affiné son style et il se révèle d une belle harmonie sur les derniers millésimes. Belle intensité tannique, l élevage et la matière commencent déjà à bien se fondre. 3
