5 L escalier central dans un écrin d albâtre est le cœur du restaurant. Monumental, spectaculaire, cet espace de transition inattendu donne aux clients une expérience remarquable au centre de murs de plus de 6 mètres de haut autoportants. Cet escalier structuré adoucit par la vie de l albâtre, permet d accéder à la partie club, réservée aux membres. The central staircase is an alabaster case, which is the heart of the restaurant. Monumental, spectacular, this space of unexpected transition gives the clients a remarkable experience in the center of more than 6 meters high of self-supporting walls. This structured staircase, softened by the alabaster, allows for stunning access to the members-only club.

8 Les faces de la cage d escalier donnant dans le club allient albâtre et miroirs selon un rythme visuel très dynamique. Le bar en albâtre répond à ces murs, le plateau en marbre poli y semble suspendu dans la lumière. The faces of the stairwell leading to the club combine both alabaster and mirrors in a dynamic visual rhythm, which when met with the polished top of the alabaster bar, give the impression of being suspended in light.

11 Guillaume Roger a conçu des luminaires avec des petites plaquettes d albâtre. La lumière y résonne comme la musique le ferait sur un carillon en y déployant toutes ses nuances harmonieuses. Le bar rond avec ses façades obliques, défi technique de précision, a été façonné à la main. Guillaume Roger has designed lighting fixtures with small alabaster plates. While deploying harmonious shades, the light sounds like music might on a carillon. To overcome technical challenges, the round bar with its oblique facades has been precisely shaped by hand.

The heart of this concept combines French contemporary design with classic motifs from Moroccan art. The wall and bar are both monumental pieces of architecture and lighting.

Nous avons mis au point des techniques innovantes de découpe, d assemblage, de traitements pour intégrer l albâtre avec le soin du détail et de la finition. Le toucher est soyeux. The wall mounting technique For over ten years, Atelier Alain Ellouz has delivered solid experience implementing custom, prestigious stone realizations of all sizes, even the most monumental. The layout plan is studied in conjunction with an architect. We have developed innovative cutting techniques, assembly, and treatments for the alabaster, with great attention given to detail and finish. As a result, the feel of the alabaster is like silk.

41 Au coeur de l albâtre Il existe deux sortes d albâtre : l albâtre calcaire et l albâtre gypseux. Seul l albâtre gypseux offre une vraie transparence. Perméable, le gypse qui compose majoritairement la pierre, a laissé les sédiments végétaux et minéraux le pénétrer au cours des siècles, et dessiner les formes visibles aujourd hui au coeur de la pierre. Mais cet albâtre est rare : peu de gisements exploitables, et peu de carrières en activité. Il faut extraire une grande quantité de pierres pour trouver les blocs avec la bonne dureté, la belle qualité de transparence et des dimensions utilisables pour les projets. La taille, au delà de 50 cm, est un facteur de rareté. La production est irrégulière, il peut se passer plusieurs mois sans trouver de blocs de qualité. At the heart of the alabaster There are two kinds of alabaster stone: calcite alabaster and gypsum alabaster. Only the gypsum alabaster offers true transparency. A permeable gypsum of which the stone is mostly composed of, allows the plant and mineral sediments to penetrate it over the centuries, and draw the visible forms at the heart of the stone. But this alabaster is rare: there are few excavated fields, and few active quarries. It is necessary to extract a large quantity of stones to find blocks the hardest blocks, each with good quality and transparency, and dimensions suitable for projects. The size beyond 50 cm is a rarity factor. The production is irregular, it may take several months to find quality blocks.

The vibrant colors of alabaster are the threads connecting this London club: 4 large bars, the tables, and a wall. The forms vary to illustrate the diversity of the same material within the same space.

71 Quand la lumière transcende l albâtre L albâtre est beau mais l albâtre retroeclairé est extraordinaire : 50% du rendu final des ouvrages dépend de la qualité des sources lumineuses et du soin apporté à leur intégration au sein des pierres. L éclairage doit valoriser la pierre, jouer avec les dessins intérieurs, rester suffisamment discret pour ne pas écraser les subtilités du veinage. Nous définissons le type de technologie lumineuse en fonction de chaque réalisation. When the light transcends the alabaster The alabaster is beautiful but the backlit alabaster is extraordinary. 50% of the final rendition of work depends on the quality of the light sources and the care given to their integration into stones. The lighting should enhance the stone, play with interior traceries, remain discreet enough to not crush subtleties of veining. We define the type of light technology based on each project. To all of the pieces in the collection, Marion has gifted her balanced accuracy, precise selection of material, and contemporary aesthetic.
