Alle medereizigers zijn bezeten door muziek: de uitgenodigde artiesten natuurlijk, die allemaal aan de top staan in hun kunst: Maria Joao Pires, Christopher Warren Green & Jean-Bernard Pommier, Jian Wang en ook drie meesters in residentie, Augustin Dumay, Abdel Rahman El Bacha en José Van Dam. Twaalf zeer begaafde jonge solisten die hier in een bepalende muzikale en menselijke ervaring duiken. 10 Lise Berthaud alto / altviool / viola De nationalité française, née en 1982, Lise Berthaud commence l étude du violon à 5 ans. A l adolescence, elle opte pour l alto et poursuit ses études au Conservatoire de Paris dans les classes de Pierre-Henry Xuereb et Gérard Caussé. A 18 ans, elle est lauréate du Concours Européen des Jeunes Interprètes. Après son prix de perfectionnement au CNSM, elle remporte en 2005 le Prix Hindemith du Concours International de Genève. La même année, la revue Classica lui consacre un numéro spécial et publie un CD Brahms-Schumann. En 2006, en tant que lauréate de l AFAA-Radio France, elle enregistre le quatuor K 478 de Mozart sur instruments d époque. Lise se produit dans la plupart des grands festivals français, aux côtés d artistes comme Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Eric Le Sage, Renaud Capuçon, Jérôme Ducros, Bertrand Chamayou, et collabore avec de nombreux compositeurs dont Philippe Hersant, Thierry Escaich et György Kurtág. En 2004, elle crée le Concerto pour alto de Marc-Olivier Dupin. En 2006, avec David Grimal, François Salque et Floriane Bonani, elle fonde le Quatuor H20 et entreprend une intégrale des quatuors de Beethoven. At 18, she won the European Competition of Young Performers. After earning her advanced diploma from the Paris Conservatoire, she won the Hindemith Prize of the Geneva International Competition. That same year, the periodical Classica devoted a special issue to her, and published a Brahms- Schumann CD. In 2006, as winner of the AFAA-Radio France, she recorded Mozart s quartet, K 478, on period instruments. Il fut révélé au public grâce à sa rencontre avec Karajan, ses concerts avec l Orchestre Philharmonique de Berlin et ses enregistrements. Durant ces dernières années, à contrecourant du marketing ambiant, il a décidé de consacrer une partie importante de son activité à l approfondissement du répertoire classique et romantique. Ce travail de fond s est concrétisé par quelques enregistrements remarquables - notamment l intégrale des sonates pour violon et piano de Beethoven avec Maria João Pires, et les concertos de Mozart avec la Camerata Academica Salzburg - salués avec enthousiasme par la critique internationale. Augustin Dumay se produit avec les orchestres et les chefs les plus réputés du monde, cumulant parfois les fonctions de soliste et de chef. Maître à la Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, il est également directeur musical de l Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie depuis A partir de 2008, il sera Principal Guest Conductor du Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra (Osaka). 12 Abdel Rahman El Bacha piano Né à Beyrouth en 1958, Abdel Rahman El Bacha vit en France, où il se perfectionne dès l âge de seize ans dans la classe de Pierre Sancan, au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. Il en sort avec quatre premiers prix (piano, musique de chambre, harmonie et contrepoint). Depuis l éclatante révélation de son talent, au Concours Reine Elisabeth de Belgique en 1978 qu il remporte à l unanimité, et après un temps d arrêt qu il consacre à accroître son répertoire, il se produit dans les salles les plus prestigieuses d Europe et du monde. Il joue avec des orchestres tels que le Philharmonique de Berlin, l orchestre de Paris, le NHK de Tokyo, l English Chamber Orchestra... Depuis son premier disque, consacré aux Premières Oeuvres de Prokofiev, qui obtient le Grand Prix de l Académie Charles Cros, il enregistre de nombreuses oeuvres (Bach, Ravel, Schubert, Schumann, Rachmaninov) chez Forlane, ainsi que les 5 concertos de Prokofiev (live) chez Fuga Libera. 13 Maria João Pires piano Née à Lisbonne en 1944, Maria João Pires se forme au Conservatoire de Lisbonne où elle étudie le piano, la composition, la théorie musicale et l histoire de la musique, et poursuit ses études auprès de Rosl Schmid, à Munich, de Karl Engel à Hanovre. En 1970, elle obtient le premier prix du Concours International du bicentenaire Beethoven de Bruxelles. Invitée régulière du Berliner Philharmoniker, du Boston Symphony Orchestra, du Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest d Amsterdam, du London Philharmonic Orchestra, elle pratique également la musique de chambre au plus haut niveau, notamment avec le violoniste Augsutin Dumay, le violoncelliste Jian Wang, le pianiste Ricardo Castro. Sa réflexion à propos de l influence de l art sur la vie, la collectivité et l école, l amena à mettre en oeuvre de nouvelles voies pédagogiques. En 1999, elle fonda le Centre d étude des arts de Belgais (Portugal), étendu ensuite à Salamanque (Espagne) et Bahia (Brésil), et, en 2005, l Impressões d Arte, compagnie expérimentale de théâtre, danse et musique. 14 Jean-Bernard Pommier chef d'orchestre / dirigent / conductor De nationalité française, pianiste et chef d orchestre, Jean-Bernard Pommier donne son premier concert public à l âge de sept ans. Il suit sa formation à Paris, auprès d Yves Nat et de Pierre Sancan pour le piano et d Eugène Bigot pour la direction d orchestre ; et à New York auprès d Eugène Istomin. Il ne tarde pas à se distinguer sur le plan international et est, en 1962, le plus jeune soliste du Concours Tchaïkovski. Dix ans plus tard, sa carrière de chef d orchestre prend son essor, notamment à travers une collaboration suivie avec le Berliner Philharmonik - tant à Berlin qu à Salzbourg - et avec l Orchestre de Paris. Au cours des années 90, il est le directeur musical du Northern Sinfonia England et de l Orchestre Philharmonique de Turin, sans cesser de se produire comme chef, comme pianiste soliste et comme chambriste. Il est régulièrement invité à donner des master classes. Depuis quelques années, Jean-Bernard Pommier dirige son propre festival à Fontfroide, dans son Languedoc natal. Jean-Bernard Pommier, pianist en dirigent van Franse nationaliteit, gaf zijn eerste publiek concert op de leeftijd van zeven jaar! Hij volgde piano-opleiding in Parijs bij Yves Nat en Pierre Sancan ; voor dirigeren bij Eugène Bigot en in New York bij Eugène Istomin. Les trois musiciens étant en perfectionnement à Londres, Paris, Bruxelles et Cologne, ils décident de poursuivre leur formation commune auprès du Quatuor Artemis, à la Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth de Bruxelles. Leur volonté n est pas d interpréter la musique mais bien d en donner une lecture vivante, poétique et sincère. La diversité de leurs parcours et de leurs tempéraments apporte également un équilibre et une lumière toute particulière à leur trio, lequel poursuit l enrichissement de son domaine avec les oeuvres les plus importantes du répertoire classique, romantique et contemporain. Le Trio Salvador Dali se produit au Palais des Beaux-Arts à Bruxelles, au Festival International d Aix-en-Provence, au Festival de Riga (Lettonie) et participe à la Croisière Musicale Reine Elisabeth.
